count this gimp in!!!! I work 7-5 weekdays my boys miss daddy racing my son keep asking.... when you going to work on the race car?
 
Will the track ever re-open? Will the announcers tower collapse?
will the bleacher boards be stacked 5 high? (Wait, some already are)
And the BIG question, will Pasta return to pick up rocks?

All kidding aside, We traveled over 100 miles every friday to
race @ The Rock, and would do it again, in a heartbeat..

I am glad that I got to have some good memories at a track that was setting dormant for the fifteen years I lived acrossed the street from it. Unfortunately Denny, Chrystal, Scott, and some others created alot of bad memories about the place for most everyone who was ever there.

I beleive that Terry can get the lease from the VFW and be successful running the classes he had in the end. If he can create a bigger seating and parking capacity he could successfully run a headliner class there again. I also believe that he can achive better relations with the neighborhood and get Jim Lashley to stop causing trouble for the racetrack.
 
is that the guythat burns trash only on friday night about 6:30? or the one who gripes about the racing then drives over in his feild and watches the races for free?
if some one who had the money to buy that land buy the pitt and make a "pit" entrance would be great help would add to the parking up top...

:D I agree with "Millsey",sure their needs to be things done to make things safe and better;but in the long run their was a good car count and racing. Late models were awesome! I don't want to take away from other classes because it was good racing all night! Has anyone stopped and thought that their was not hardly any trouble and a lot less drinking down there! It was family orientated and I wasn't ashamed to bring my grand kids,several places I've been ,people are just too ugly talking. Know for a FACT that Arlin Keith tried to get track and well that flopped big time. I sure hope that the VFW won't renew Denny's lease for the next few years!!!! The money he made didn't go for fixing it up or to the racers, extra money donated (I know for a fact) didn't make it to them,but he knew nothing of it!!!LOL Excuse Me do I have STUPID on my forehead. Got to get off,it's just such a waste!!! Have a happy and safe holiday to all.
 
Come on people!! We need to WAKE UP the sleeping Rock!!! I miss Friday night racing!

Count me in for volunteer work to try to get it back to up and running again! I've got a hammer & I'm not above doing hard work to get the place open again. I've also got a lot of friends who I'm sure wouldn't mind loading up and helping out. Keep us posted!!
