Something To Think About

I agree that it may be difficult for everyone to know they need a full rear bumper and Burris 33's if they aren't local racers. However, we've gone to different tracks around the midwest that had different rules so we always call ahead or check their website for their rules first. Everyone coming to Bedrock or Coulterville should know about these rules by way of the internet or calling Frank.

Justin

Only problem is that the rules on the website are from 2005?

The site does need to be updated, but you can check this site or call Frank. (618) 830-0802 Like I said before, if you know about Bedrock or Coulterville, and you want to race there, there are ways to find out.

From my own experience a broken arm from someone climbing over ya is about $20,000+ thats including hospitals, surgery, and missed work. But at Bedrock someone taking you out and not winning the $20 or even $100 on a money show? When it comes to someone taking another out because now they can durning a race; that person getting sent to the back or even allow a few broken noses will cure that! Maybe??:D :D

That's where the problem lies, will they be sent to the back or not for intentional spins. If not, the rough driving is bound to get worse because people will be out for revenge. As harsh as this sounds, when the adrenaline is going and your racing for points, tempers will flare up if someone spins you and you go to the rear. Which may bring about some broken noses. I guess we will have to see.

The Big Rear Bumper

I Can Tell You Guys Start Finding Them, It Is Going To Be A Rule . A Racer In Flordia Lost His Arm In A Accident, Where A Racer Ran Over His Rear Tire, We Went Back Over The Last 3 Years And Other Than A Guy Hitting Him Self With A Hammer The Few Wrecks We Have Had Are All Racers Climbing Up On Other Karts. I Am Trying To Come Up With Ways To Patrol The Bumping And Make It Fair For Everyone. Soon As I Talk It Over With Frank I Will Post It On Here, So Everyone Can Fine Tune It

the kid classes are out of control.the last nite at bedrock alexander got a concussion and missed 4 days of school and was very sick.the black flag needs to fly on some of these kids.not just send them to the back.

My opinion

My opinion is the talent level is way to stretched out in the purple plate. Some of the kids need to stay in that class and the rest need to move up to a plate between purple and gold. I think it is a turquoise plate but I might be wrong. Some of the kids are way off pace and that makes for a dangerous situation for all involved but this is just my opinion. Thanks Andy

Why not try this since your going to have the extra help keeping an eye on the track. Run turquoise plate for 8-12 year olds but if you get lapped in the heat races you move back to a purple plate class for the feature and start in the back. Keep the weight the same for both classes so it wont require you to change your entire set up. If you win the purple plate class 3 weeks in a row you get moved up to turquoise. if your just starting out this gives the child some seat time in purple to get the experince and your dad can learn how to set up the kart without getting in the way of the better racers. In the adult classes 12 years on up warn them in the drivers meeting and if the continue to bump start tossing them these karts do have brakes. jmo
