Something To Think About

Good God

I will have to check i might have some 33's for sale. But if you wanted to race you should have been at the meeting because that is why it was posted on here. I really don't think anyone can complain about anything if they didn't attend. I understand some people have things come up but it was posted well ahead of time. I will post all the tires I have for sale soon.

At what point did I complain about a darn thing. Guess what, some people do work on the weekends that is why I wasnt there and I dont care how early you post anything I would still have to work.

Thanks for the offer Tobias and Justin but I am real sure now that I will not be there this year.

Have a great race year, Andy

The 33 is a great rule at least now you know what everybody is running! once you figure out your prep and duro its all settup;)

I love the rule so much i'm naked right now!

I'm gonna throw up.

Althoff, please tell me he's by himself right now? :p :D ;)
Or maybe he met up with them there southern girls again!

"When she smiled she had about as many teeth as a jack-o-lantern; she said her name was Bambi and he said good thing cause i felt like skinnin' you like a deer!" I bet Dale Sr.'s pit crew had some good stories about non race events back in his day too? .com

What if some out of towner shows up to race and does not have a full rear bumper or maybe no 33's. Are you not going to let them race?? A burris tire rule would have been a better rule. I have never been to Bedrock to race, but was planning on traveling to new tracks this year. My oldest ran there a couple years ago and said it was nice. We run restricted class and run softer tires. Also I'm poor and can't afford new tires. need to reconsider both rules or lose drivers. Just my oppinion

Sounds like good rules came out of Bedrock. Was planning on being there but been out of town working ice storm damage in SW mo. Only thing i see bad is the wide bumper rule (Tobin must have came up with that one, easier to move people :D ) I think it will double your cautions threw out the night. JMO

I agree with the bumper rule causing more cautions because of having more room to push someone around the track. I think the reg. bumpers keep karts away from each other more. Also to anyone who says they don't have enough money to buy used 33's I would be happy to keep a set in the trailer to let someone use for a night. Justin is selling those wheels and tires cheap. So i am sure someone would sell a set of used tires for 50 bucks or even less. If you can't come up with 50 bucks then I am not really sure how you can race because it almost cost that to enter for one night. So anyone that wants to race and needs a set of tires I will have a set in the trailer. Plus I think it helps the lower budget guys because they don't need 100 tires in the trailer to race.

I've got to agree there, not a fan of the wide bumper either. Run in the kids class but let the stock classes run either.

I agree that it may be difficult for everyone to know they need a full rear bumper and Burris 33's if they aren't local racers. However, we've gone to different tracks around the midwest that had different rules so we always call ahead or check their website for their rules first. Everyone coming to Bedrock or Coulterville should know about these rules by way of the internet or calling Frank. Plus, word of mouth helps out too. Since many of us do know the rules, we can tell our fellow racers who are planning on coming to Bedrock or Coulterville.

By the way, I agree the bumper rule will cause more cautions. It definitely prevents other karts from getting into the drivers shoulder or head, which was Frank's point at the meeting, but it's going to create a lot more pile ups. People are going to slam these bumpers knowing they can't get into the rear tires and slow themselves down.

I have been racing short tracks for a long time, the Coliseum in Sadalia, MO tried this rule for many years with little success, its a hard one to justify. Especially if you are planning on having some money shows. I have a bumper and burris tires so its doesnt bother me but it might if you are coming from far away for the first time. Just throwin that out there. If anyone needs any used burris tires call Trackside Karts and Parts (573) 443-1377 WE HAVE TONS OF NEW AND USED STUFF.
