Storeroom and Midget Racer

Thanks for grading my work, you point out that I missed 3 out of over 150 words thats a 98% and might be the highest score I have ever received on a spelling test.

You know some of those trees are kinda ugly, but all together they do make a pretty forrest. You guys should take a look sometime.

can't speak for mr. storeroom, but the reason i brought the point up, is you made the statement several posts back about someone who, in your estimation, is not smart enough to carry on an intelligent conversation with you. now,if you are going to make a statement like that, it would be smart on your part to make sure your "house is in order" first.. after reading some of your posts, i can see why you didn't think of that. btw, care to tackle my question several posts ago?

Question here : How many of you guys have to take a urinalyisis from time to time just to work ? Is that taking away your constitutional rights as well ?

Exactly 100% correct. And cars are not equipped with blinds nor are they assumed to be a private dwelling. So you cannot ever expect the same amount of privacy in your car as you do at home. POINT PROVEN! And I must say this was the most ignorant post you've ever made, because you just contradicted yourself.
No I did not. You need to review the "Plain View Doctorine". You will see that I am correct.

And a judge ordered blood draw has only been ordered when a potential drunk driver has been satisfactorily identified after refusing to blow?

SO WHATS THE FRIGGIN DIFFERENCE?

PLEASE ANSWER ME, WHAT IN THE HELL IS THE DIFFERENCE?
The difference is, not the fact that a judge can and will sign a search warrant to obtain blood, but rather, do the police have the right to violate all the other citizens that are FORCED to pass through their checkpoint, and be subjected to unnecessary inconvenience for the sake of catching a mere handful of violators. I think the Wolf Pack method of DWI detection is much more effective and much less intrusive on the public.

Yes, I mean forced. Do you realize that the checkpoint is basically a distraction. The drunks can see the Checkpoint ahead and do about everything they can to avoid entering it. Therein lies the trap. There are officers stationed before the checkpoint at previous intersections. They will either stop a car from making a turn off the checkpoint and force them to travel through it (which is a violation of your civil rights), or a chase car begins a dedicated observation to look for a violation to stop the car that is avoiding the checkpoint. Trust me, I have intimate knowledge in the way checkpoints are conducted.

No it isn't as long as your employer follows strict guidlines. Again, if you don't want to have your urine tested, you can choose not to work for that employer. Your not bound to that job like your bound to this country.

So then what is the difference ? You choose not to work for that employer cause you do not want to piss. You have that choice correct !
And if you drink and are that drunk and drive then you also have that choice
not to drive cause it is against the law and these are the RESULTS if you do! You can call a friend or get a taxi cab. Bottom line !!! You had the choice when you choose to get in the car and drive. I am at a loss here. Where is the debate ? REALLY !!!! And for the record this weekend drunk does have a designated driver ! That was my 2 cents worth --- I'm really not in this dog fight

Dirtgirl:

Your position assumes that a person is drunk,

But the issue is the fact that you can be stone cold sober and tire of jumping around on one leg along the roadside and if the cop has an attitude you could find yourself having your blood drained.

As far as a piss test, they give you a bottle and you have the choice to fill it or not and at a time when your body produces it.

Would you be upset if they came with a catheter and extracted it involuntarily.

there is alot of back and forth rhetoric on here(and yes, part of it is mine). 2 things come to mind... think back to basic laws of science/physics; for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. choose not to get pee tested, lose your job... choose to drink and drive, risk getting caught, and appropriate consequences. yes, there is a choice, but is it really worth it? i suppose both of those choices were within your "rights"(or at least choices), but was it the smart thing to do? no debate there, really.is common sense a thought at all here? yes, you have the right to stand on a street corner in north st.louis at 2 a.m., but common sense will tell you whats going to happen next... so don't piss and moan when it does happen. same thought here. it seems that government is here, at least partially,in an attempt to protect folks from themselves and their self inflicted stupidity.

I personally dont mind being subjected to an "unnecessary inconvenience for the sake of catching a mere handful of violators". I am rarely in such a time crunch that spending a few minutes talking to a police officer who is trying to protect me on my journeys is that much of an inconvenience. To me a "mere handful of violators" is a helluva lot more than no violators and I'm all for catching those violators in any way possible.

I have been that person on the side of the road ! I had knee surgery 2 week pryor on 61/67. I did as they told me to and passed ! It was bunk but I understand they have a job to do an I respect them for that. If they deem to pull blood then so be it ! Heck I do Plasmapheresis- plateletphereisis and white cells as well! So to sticked by an oficer that is nothing esp if there is a court order. Our rights have been so screwed up by our society that thinks everyone is out to get them and feel the government owes them everything but we owe them nothing. If you are innocent then you are innocent. We lost prayer in schools because of someones rights. But when someone kills our kids in school we pray to GOD ! Come on people!!!! If you are innocent then prove it ! Then be on your way ! Yes we choose to piss in a cup to keep our jobs that pay our bills. And we choose to drive impared. If you do not pass either then you do not pass go and do not collect your $200.00 ... I can't believe we are debating this ....... And Diehardfan I am so sorry for your loss. :(

I have an example that I think most all of us on this board can identify with:

Remember the security guards Pevely had and the attitude that they had, and particularly the NINJA COP,

Would you like to find yourself doing tricks on the side of the road at midnight, with that guy having the authority to drain your blood.

Are we talking about being pulled over in general now ? And where did tricks come into play on this? That my friend is how you get out of giving blood   :D :p

The point you seem to miss is that your tricks have to please the NINJA and he and he alone gets to decide how far it goes.

This is great, Everyones all worked up over taking blood to prove your not drunk. If you were not drunk then whats the big deal? Your rights? Ya what ever, welcome to the real world, You have very little rights, live with it. Midgetracer you were right about me coming on here and shareing my experence. Let them all rake me over the coals I don't care but while they are in jail or sitting on the side of the road doing there test I will honk when passing by.:D
Wheelspinner you are also right but I don't drink, do dope, smoke anymore so I'm as clean as they come. Let them run my plates all day long, I did my crime and will serve my time even if it means getting pulled over to prove it. I look forward to it every time. You have no clue how great it is when a cop comes up behind you and drives right by. I no longer worry about looking over my sholder. :D
I have blood shot eyes to start with so I'm a stuck duck to start, reason #3 I quit drinking. I did get tested going though a check point one time and I must say it was the most fun I had with the cops in a long time. The cop even said to me " With your record you can understand why we pulled you out of the car" I told him the same thing I said earlyer "I look forward to it and enjoy being on the good side of the law. They no longer scare me. Infact I have made a few friends that are cops that also tell me I made the wright decission.
Dirtgril watch out they like to change the subject.
Short and simple guys do the right thing and all your worrys will go away. Your rights? well untill you become the prez. deal with it since you cant change it. :D:D
Beat this one to death, been fun guys Stay out of jail this summer.

The point you seem to miss is that your tricks have to please the NINJA and he and he alone gets to decide how far it goes.

First off I am not your average bear so good luck getting the honey !!! And 99.9 percent of the time I have 1 or more kids in my car with me. And when traveling to and from the races I am the car in the middle of all the guys traveling home if not being driven home by one of the guys LMAO !!! Now has this post changed to having your blood taken at a sobriety check ( which I have always seen more than one Ninja at these check points ) to being pulled over by some officer that has an ego trip anytime anywhere and not even a sobriety check or blood draw? If Ninja gets illegal then hopefully I have the courts system to make it right! Even if it means getting his DNA !!!! And evoking his GOD Forsaken Rights. You guys are jumping all over trying to figure out a way to prove your point !!!! I have no point to prove ! Now I have spent 10 cents in this dog fight and have nothing to buy my cigarette to smoke at lunch. 10 cents a strike wow !!!!! Is that still my right to smoke ? I mean it is another day and another post as well !!!!!
Have a Nice Day and enjoy your banter :)

Gril I'll give you 0.10 cents keep it up your killing me. "Not your average bear" boy your opening up a can of NINJA'S there. Look out. I still will hook up with you later. see ya soon.

I have what you are looking for in my van. Missed you last week but we will get it to you legally or illegally

I'm not going to read EVERY single post on this, but something seems to be getting overlooked, and that's the reason why they are doing this. The idea of having a warrant available right away if someone refuses the breath test is because by the time they would transport the person to jail, get a warrant (waking up a judge), and then drawing the blood, the drunk driver is going to be sober. In my opinion, having the judge and prosecuter on call like they did takes away another loophole that serious offenders have tried to use over and over again at checkpoints, and puts these drunk drivers where they belong, and that's in jail without a right to drive.

Becareful Moonflow don't let facts get in the way of a good fight.

;)Wish I didn't live so far away....I would have purposely gone through the check point and tell the cops "Thank You" for trying to keep us law-abiding citizens safe on the road!!! And, yes, I have been stopped in check points before, and each time I told the cops 'Thank You"......I have not lost a 'right' in any check point yet....(ps, most states consider driving a privilege, NOT a right)

Next time they do this, all the drunks should get together and drive up to the check point, get arrested, clog the courts, THEN complain about losing their rights....:p

(fuel to the fire)
