St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club's January meeting and Trivia Contest

How stupid of me RacerRod, of course I should have looked for another Illinois site for the East St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club....

I never smarted off to you but you pushed me now. We're much closer to St. Louis than you are, idiot. Think before you speak. I was just posting an idea for a location for a future meeting since it was asked about. I could care less if all meetings are in Jefferson County. As long as you are happy I guess. I've noticed that if someone doesn't agree with you, you like trying to insult others. Oh well, you can't please 'em all. Good luck trying. "This Bud's for you Mr. 6,430 post guy".

Gentlemen.........

I think with enough advanced planning that all the fans and friends of the Fan Club can have meetings "close" to them. (Remember the club only holds meetings in the months of Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., and March.)

Wow! It is absolutely wonderful to have people who are helping and care about the continued success of the club.

Thanks for all the great suggestions........keep them coming.

Happy New Year to the best racers and fans in the WORLD! (And yes I am and always have been extremely prejudiced in that opinion!)

Rod, evidently you didn't get the gest of what we were talking about before you opened your yap. The idea was to move the meeting to various spots so it could be attended by a variety of people, and the idea of the fan club is for people within a 100 mile radius of the Arch. Now if that offends you I'm sorry...

One last thing, what would be so bad about having a meeting 30 or 40 miles SOUTH of St. Louis on the Missouri side instead of having one that far away from St. Louis on the EAST side....?

LOL.. No, then people on the west side would scream to have it in Kansas City and people on the south side would say have it in Memphis and people on the east side, well, they would just scream..... LOL... Take it easy folks, I'm just joking!!

I can think of a few "choice" locations on the East side that I wouldn't mind having a meeting at - does the "family environment" have to be for EVERY meeting?

Just a thought.

okay, mills... i have seen this movie from you many times before. not being a fan club board member any more,i have kept quiet. but reresh my memory... when did they move the city of o'fallon, il. another 20 or so miles further east??? it still is at exit 14 on i-64. that means 14 miles east of the ill/mo state line. that means 14 miles east of the arch. how is that 30 or 40 miles from st. louis, like you claim??? 14 is a far cry from 30 or 40. i understand you wanting to try the fan club meetings down by you, and you have all the power to do just that, but please reply with reasonably accurate info when you post. not a bunch of junk that is just not true. i would think a newspaper guy like yourself would try to stick with factual info at all times, not exaggerations that could easily be picked apart. might see ya at the fc meeting, maybe to defend my title of trivia champ!! happy new year and be safe. art.

Commenting that Belleville is a worse place to have a St. Louis auto racing fan club meetings than in Jefferson County. Belleville is just 10 minutes from the Arch and Jefferson County is 35. Don't insult people when you don't know the facts. That's odd that the January meeting just happens to be in Fairview Heights, ILLINOIS which is the same distance from the Arch. Don't take it personal that the SLARFC meetings have never been in Jefferson County. No need to defend your opinion. Can't we all get along?

My first posting on this topic was to Eileen who asked for area locations to have meetings and not to you, but you found it necessary to chime in and insult me. Any particular reason why? It doesn't matter to me where meetings are because I haven't been a member for a while anyway; I was just responding to Eileen's posting, not yours. I won't respond to you anymore in this topic or it will show my immaturity, I'll leave that to you since you enjoy it so much. Have a great New Year and stop and think before you smart off to strangers next time.

Rod, I didn't insult you. However you've called me "an idiot" and an "uneducated moron." I see you're not smart enough to realize the only one I let insult me on here is Midget Racer... LOL... And that's just because Art has eaten too many greasy cheeseburgers. Look, let's just forget about any disagreements we had on the issue and leave them here in 2004. Let's have a clean slate for 2005 (even you ART!).. LOL

a clean slate???? hmmmmmmm.... let me think about this one. let's talk about this over a couple of them cheeseburgers you keep talkin' about, but never seem to happen!!! LOL!!!!! i guess i know now what's happening to all them cheeseburgers!! happy new year mills.

No way!!!

I'm not wiping the slate clean Jeff!!! I think I'm ahead by a few! Why would I want to wipe the slate clean????

(I'm ahead by a couple of jabs at you - NOT cheeseburgers!)

:D  :D

Just for the record, I disagree with Racerrod on this one - You ARE educated!!!! LOL!:D

Make that at LEAST three!;)

Millsey, I apologize for calling you names but will not admit you were right about your comments. It is what it is. Happy New Year.
