SUPERNATIONALS

I do agree on the claim rule!! Its there for a reason....use it! But the problem you have is if i have a modified and i finish on the lead lap of the A-Main and go to the claim area and say i want to claim Racer x's motor for a $1000 like stated in the rules how many of the tracks are going to let it happen? If you start useing the claim rule and tear down rule in these class's im led to believe the cost of racing will go down! Who would build a $20,000 motor knowing it can and probably will get claimed for $1000? You would be a fool to! Yes if you do claim it you are probably going to be labeled as the biggest a hole in this area but hey.....it is what it is!! We have to start somewhere to get the cost down!
you want the car count go up start claiming this weekend

And no dip $%@# i dont want the car counts to go down!!! I actually think rhe car counts will go up!! Your average working person used to be able to afford to build a car....but now to keep up with the Jones's they cant!! What average working person do you know of that can afford a $20,000 motor to run a modified? My thought is if you got that kind of money to run that kind of equipment there is a traveling series out there.....go run it!! I mean seriously who wants to build a car knowing your never going to be competitive because of money!! The Pro-4's was supposed to be a affordable class but that class has gotten out of hand. The street stocks was supposed to be a affordable class...that class has gotten out of hand!! You got guys building $5,500 motors for Pro-4's and $10,000 motors for street stocks!! How is that a affordable class?? Come on Mr. Negative give us your absolute expert advise here??? Give a us a geniune answer on this and not your ignorance!?!?

You can win a lot of street stock races with a $4000 motor....

But as far as F40....I just have him ignored so I don't ever see his posts. Works great!

Dave i know you can....im simply saying that the $10,000 motors is why your average working man wont build a car!! I have $3,658 in my street stock motor and i expect it to be very competitive next year. The only reason my car wasnt done and out there this year was because i wont make my family go broke over a race car. Its not cheap to build a street stock any more!! I have almost $10,000 in it now and have probably another $3,000 to go before its done and i think thats out of control!!

Travelling series help with car counts going down ,how much you think is in crate with all added features not the right but you get the picture but you want to punish a team that has their act together thats just unamerican

Heya Faust fan. Are you talking 10,000 for a ump street stock, or a pure stock engine like Highland, Tricity, B town or Belleville run??Just curious.

No a pure stock engine for like Highland, Tri City, Belleville, Brownstown!! Yea those cars!! To me thats completly uncalled for!!

I think Pevely tried to do something almost similar to Boone with the Round Up a few years back. With rain outs every time it was tried it didn't work so well.

in october also thats a crap shoot around this area heck the forecast for this weekend is on the chilly side

One other issue that would be hard to overcome for a Supernationals type race around here is the variances in UMP rules from track to track. For example, a Pevely sportsman is way different than a Macon sportsman. B-Mods have some differences from track to track. Same with Street Stocks (UMP calls them Factory Stocks). The only 3 classes that are exactly the same no matter where you go are the Late Models, Crates and the Modifieds. Once everyone is running the same package it would be more likely, but as of now it would be a hard sell.

Here's proof of the free motor to the winner..2015 stock car winner ran a claimer motor, so in turn was awarded a free one after his was auctioned off.

The UMP B-Mods will all have the same rules next year.. Tracks that don't conform to UMP B-Mod rules will NOT be sanctioned next year.
