TCS LM tire rule

Well, when you start running your LM (instead of your mouth) there could be 9.

Block material means nothing in performance, the cars are light enough to get any percentage you want with an iron block, and the head package makes power while the bore and stroke makes tourqe and smoothness.(oversimplified)

I think the point they were making was that some guys like the rule to exclude the big dogs, and to give an excuse for less $ to win, wich also keeps out the big dogs. I personally want to race against the best guys I can afford to, so I can learn to be better, and not get a big head racing against weak competition. There are alot of guys who would like that deal, just using the low to win pay to keep out the stars, have a tight drop back in pay, and run UMP, you will get some points chasers who are hiding from good competition.

Anser the mans question about payout, it is very important to racers.
Just go UMP on the 1/2 you can get away with paying peanuts and UMP wont do anything about it, you just might have a weak car count. Run UMP lms on friday or sunday, pay like I-55 it would be awsome.

To T.nie

I Am Running My Mouth From West Palm Beach, Florida Right Now. I Missed Last Week, this Week, And Maybe Next Depends On When I Want To Come Home. When I Get Back I Will Run My Steel Block Car Back At Granite (by The Way Other Than Last Week I Had Only Missed One Week At Granite). So Until Then I Guess I Am Only Limited To Running My Mouth Just Like You!!!!!!!!!!!!

My comment was not directed to you, Ed. I am sure Brandon appreciates you informing him that there will be one more LM at Granite when you get back. That should placate him somewhat that not everyone is simply abandoning the track for other venues. I think Brandon does not seem to grasp that low car count in one class one week, or even one month, is an indication that there are "issues" to be addressed at a given track. You have just given one explanation, out of many possible ones, as to why the LM car count dropped by one.

It is kinda funny, all this fuss because the count of LM's was low one week at Granite. Did you not notice BP, that the street stocks started 26 last week? Last year, I doubt that many started at any point in the season, if so, it was rare. Now this year, that is an average night's count in that class. I dont see any "issues" other than LM's are very expensive to run, and not everyone can afford one these days. Nothing to do with promoters, track surface, or block rules, just simple good old "cant race what I cant afford" plain and simple. If I could afford an LM, I would get one; bottom line is I cant.

Dean, sure, the money is an issue, but my point is that you wont get your answers by making it an issue on STL racing dot com, you'll get your answer by talking to the promoter. That is what I suggested to Brandon Paul, that he should call and ask Bob what he pays for an 8 car field, instead of making a point of bringing it up here. That way, when he gets his LM all loaded up on the trailer and is ready to hit the highway to the track, he can make an educated decision on what the best place is for him to go race.

Yeah, I have rarely been the most loved person on this site, but at least I recognize when I am starting to tick people off. Brandon just seems like the Energizer Bunny, he just keeps on going.......
