Tech at highland

i agree they should have scales, pretty much inexcusable. especially when the "penalty" for running an "open" bmod engine is to have to weigh more lol. a brand new set of digital scales can be bought for $1,000 or less actually. and i actually offered to take my scales over there as long as I was allowed to write down every cars weight percentages hahaha

SpotPig......Now here is real member of Mensa. How much do you think a set of scales cost SpotPig Genius? Let's assume $3000 used conservatively. A pit pass is $30 bucks, and payout of finishing last in A-Mods is what $40 bucks? So Ol' Uncle Lenny rips off Highland Speedway for a whopping $10/night. So it would probably take about 17 years of Lenny not racing to pay for a used set of scales. Idiots like you should just shut up, because you have no clue about anything except how to run your ignorant motor mouth.
You got a big mouth. I found some scales on this site in the classified section for 500. You may want to know what your talking about before you open mouth.

Eh, whatever. I never claimed to know what a set of scales cost. That's why I prefaced my comment with the word "assume". The point I was making is that the $10/night Lenny nets from the track multiplied over one year is far less than what it would cost to buy a set. Split hairs all you want, I was simply disproving your ignorant statement.

SpotPig, you never answered if you're a driver or crew member or just a spectator. I don't really care who you are, just want an honest answer.

once again--when I saw ""NEW MEMBER"" I assumed they came on here to bash highland--perhaps I was a bit over board with my comments--it is getting personal--but I have a thick hide--some one mentioned that a car may be over the width--I can not imagne they are referring to the 25 car-if anything it is well under the specs--I will be sure to bring a tape measure--as for pulling in early-do you really want me to stay out there and perhaps affect the outcome of a race? highland is a multi grouved track so unless I know fore sure where the pack is I will use my best judgement to decide what to do..i eagerly await your comments--lenny garson

I'm not a new member I've been on this site for years. I don't know why it says that. If I was as old as you and could get in a car I would be out there to have fun just like you. However I don't like being told to shut the f up for asking a question. Like I said before sorry fireball....

like I said spotpig-there have been a number of times that trolls have opened a new account just to come on stlracing and bash a track or racer-I assumed that was the case here but I now see that was not in fact the case regarding you being a new member--@ 71 I have no idea how much longer I will be able to "safely" get in and out and drive a race car--like I said earlier -see me after the races Sat. and I will buy us a beer with my profit for the night--and I really do appreciate every one that had my back---lenny garson

This is more drama than a high schoolers Facebook page.
Having said that....scales? Racetrack? Thats pretty basic. Why the outrage over expecting a racetrack (which has been operating 50+yrs) to have an official set of scales? Its bad enough nobody techs cars anymore, but no scales? Thats amazing. I havent been to Highland in decades because we moved from that area but if i remember right it was a nice place with plenty of paying customers. Is that not the case anymore?

STILL A GREAT PLACE TO WATCH RACING--GOOD FOOD--ADULT BEVERAGES-- what got me on my rude rant so to say was the label saying that the first two posters were NEW MEMBERS when in fact they were not--there are those that troll the net and get accounts just to bad mouth tracks/drivers/track staff--with the state of racing in general bad mouthing a track is not going to do the track--the racers or the officals any good--
