the bloomquist tire

One observation I have made is this tire prep was used in mass in gokart racing would it be reasonable to believe a good amount of former gokart racers now racing in the lms mods etc would be treating their tires.I said reasonable assumption because if you race a gokart and know what the stuff does wouldn`t it be tempting to use it legal or not?One other thing I was at Highland earlier this year and a big name driver up there won a feature and his left front tire was chunking apart, would tire treatment cause this?

This is nothing new in racing someone looking for an edge that is,what about the guy building "allied sportsmans" with camaro stubs was he a cheating prick too?

Don't know about Camaros but built one with a Nova once to find out it was a big waste of time. (In case your pointing fingers):D

I am sure there will be some guys treating their tires to see if it is worth their time also,I know some that will not do it because it is illegal and some that are convinced that they are getting beat by it and are tired of it.The one difference between this and traction control is the cost, it is not very costly to prep tires so it can be tried out relatively cheap.Traction control is expensive and a big investment.

The whole issue seems silly to me, they will let you alter the tires with a knife or a grinder, but not with chemicals.

Like someone said, cut ump or Woo a check and the problem is solved.

INTEGRITY must not have any meaning to some though...

Integrity has nothing to do with what I do. Nothing I do is against any law. The fact that the product or service I provide happens to be against the rules of ONE group of customers I have, well, sorry. Not going away though.

Of course it would be fair to assume that some would be tempted to tire prep if they have come from Karts. 99.9% of the people that come up with various types of tire prep or have a service for it, started in karts or are still in karts. This is a very fair assumption.

As far as the tire chunking apart. Well yes that could be from tire prep, but just as easily could be from something else. All of the different stock car guys I've prepped for over the years, there were only two that I found a great benefit to prep the LF tire. If this guy liked to drive his car the same as the two I have in mind, as well as used a prep that would soften a tire and went to soft, then yes that could be a result.

PM me the name of the racer if you would.

Does that qualify you as a cheating prick?

Well of course it doesn't, because he did that, not me. See people are quick to call someone a cheater, but if they step back and look at themselves they aren't following all of the rules at all times either. Do you guys speed on the Interstate? Do you roll through stop signs? Do you speed up on yellow lights? Cheaters make me sick.

that was some good responses.but dont we all miss the old days.there may have been some cheating back then. just nothing like that.im sure all the old drivers would say i was lucky 2 afford a set of tires just to race.

I wasn't directing it to you, just poking fun at intake. Like I've said before, I really could careless about the WoO series doping tires. I figure most if not all are doing it and it isn't something any of them can't afford to do. It's local level racing where I would rather see it addressed. Some of this stuff is rather expensive and budget racers don't need anything else to have to try and keep up with the Jones with. They have enough legal stuff to try and accomplish that with.

HOLY CRAP!!! You looked in a mirror!!!!

How can you go from talking about life on a RACE TRACK to life on an interstate or street???

There is a button with these little marks, one looks like this " and has a little + sign. That means "MULTI-QUOTE". Click it for every post you wish to quote, then on the very last one click the basic quote button. You'd be amazed!!!!

If Allied is serious about wanting to crack down on this I think impound the winner in all three classes and dismount the rear tires and inspect the inside of tire and rim.some guys have rotisseries and put this on the inside I would think there would be tell tale signs on the rim if there was treatment present.I mounted a tire and sprayed a little water to lube it, the car ran for a month when I dismounted the tire it was still wet inside the rim.I can say for sure that a certain treatment works on E-mods really well.

Ummm sarcasm 44taylorfan. I was simply making the argument that if you speed then you are breaking the LAW, not some rule that your sanctioning body has. But being that most of you on here are so moral, I'm sure you don't break the law at any point. Right?

Yeah I know. I was trying to aim that towards Intake as well. Sorry I didn't clarify.

I haven't had so much as a parking ticket since 1999. Only got one then due to a wreck. A seat belt ticket is minor. I live 1/2 block from the only bar in town, so no drinking and driving. My kids are never late to school since we live 2 blocks from school and walk nearly every day, my wife works 1/2 mile down the road. No need to speed. We have a driveway, no need to double/illegal park. Never been in any trouble of any sort. And YES... I can honestly say that is no BS! What about you? O yea that's right... You make it possible for people to CHEAT AND BREAK RULES!!!!

You know Kurt I know that, but I still try to make them understand. I guess I just like the beating I take on here. Ignorance is bliss I guess. But you are right, I am convinced they will never understand, nor try to understand.

There is “noisy minority” that seem to post a lot on here and tend NOT to comprehend information posted by others very well at all… And they’ll continue to post, seemly just to prove their own ignorance on a regular basis. But hey man… I hope you know that not everyone on here is dense.

For every stupid post on this subject, there are A LOT more reading and gathering information.

And I hope they never find a solid way, and you should too Kurt. If they find one, then so could WKA. Then no more tire prep in karts as well. Seriously doubt there is a chance at either happening though.

There are also a lot of people seeing right through your BS! What happened to your saving racing from tire treatment campaign you were so vocal about just a little while back!?!?!?
