Tri City B-mods

unless we can find a race for ump points elsewhere, we will be at this race, but i hope we can get ump points, no matter what the transmissions allowed are and im sure there are some more cars that will come also. Besides the trannsmission is not gonna make a difference. Our cars from Doe Run and Farmington have the same motor rules as a car from Callaway anyway.

Rules

What's rules? See the track owners make the rules it's always been that way, I'm sorry to say but it's car count or the rules hum............... F the rules. Budget class my ***!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get a Bmod Bradley?

I am with Mike on this one. I have done better with smokey my old motor than I have with this new one. If you love racing then get in, belt up, hang on and have fun! More about the man than the machine!:)

I have more fun out running guys with more and better stuff than i have than worring about be out classed. Not bashing anyone, just saying the driver and setup if 70% of it, who cares what trans you have, or if you have a 500 carb or a areshol, tune her in and put the hammer down and let it ride.Show everyone how a true b-mod runs up front with the outlaw b-mods. So tell me what the difference is between a MCs and a Callaway b-mod? Then only thing is carb and trans. Mike floyd takes a 3spd car and a 500 carb and runs and wins at Callaway and MCS, and has been running top 3 at callaway with a stock 350. That just goes to show trans and carb is not all of if guys.

Bub no i am sticking with my 360 sprinter, having more fun in it than i have had in a long time, and heck dont have to worry about working on it all week to get it put back together from the week before lol. And it pays better

Most B-Mod guys around here are just damn glad to have a chance to run there cars!

Not trying to feed the fire here but; any time you can reduce your rotating weight (bert or brinn) you will have an advantage over somebody with more rotating weight (3-spd.) but weather or not that is the deciding factor on who wins or loses will depend on the driver and car set up. JMO.

By the way if anybody wants a bert for this race I have one for sale! :D

Gotta realize that Callaway averages close to 30 B mods a night, you cut them out by not letting them run a bert then the car count will fall at least a few. And I know that there are really only a few b-mods at Callaway that run a Bert, and very few of them have won this year. Thats just the facts. We switched midway threw the season from a powerglide and yes there was a little change in performance, but nothing like a new set of tires. Sure wish I had the money for tires, Thats were I know we were being beat. Wanna keep it a true Bmod race make em all use IMCA tires and not let any cutting on them. Doesnt matter what you do to the motor-Transmission with them hockey pucks.

ump???

correct me if I am wrong Junebugfan or shannon, but when we discussing the alky issue for farmington, did you all or did you not get on here and say that it is up to the track to modify UMP rules if they want? I mean if you wanna go by the UMP rule book, it DOES NOT say that you have to run gas only. If anyone doesnt wanna run against berts or brinns, that is fine, but dont use the excuse that it is because they are not going by UMP rules when your local track doesnt follow them either.
I like you guys and enjoy racing with you all, but you need to step back and look at what you are saying.
Werent you guys there and ran last year? If so, you raced against aftermarket trans. and didnt know it. Derek

Lol......

Get over it Despain... Your a day late and a dollar short... This isn't a UMP race so were sitting out...

Ya, we do know what you ran at every race you've been at..... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out when someone isn't going by the rules... We thought this was a UMP race... I myself like LIMITED class.... But everybody keeps wanting to push the Limits....

Kevin them's good rules don't let the whiners change em any time in the future.

derek

yes i guess the tracks can modifiy the ump rules,fuel,trans,etc-.all i wanted to know about this race was if it was ump sanactioned for ump points-i really enjoy the limited mod class, but if your a 4 barrel away from being a a-mod,then really how limited are we??

Wow, now Junebug is attacking someone else....

Junebug, I have NO CLUE who you are. But usually the guys worrying about someones car and accusing people of cheating are the guys running mid pack. And 95 percent of the time, the fast guy accused of cheating is WELL within the rules.

Ive NEVER been through tech after a race and seen anyone flinch. And thats been many times. Heck, I even got accused of having a traction control device hidden in my helmet!

And if there were any Brinns there last year, I know they werent up front. Unless Kenny Rumble put one in just for that night, witch I really doubt.

Mike Floyd

And Shannon,,

I agree completely! the rules are WAY too open. Like I said in the beginning of this, I wish all the tracks around here would run the B mod rules they have in western MO. But they dont, so this is our option.

That was the funniest night I ever had to wait for a payoff, didnt know it was you being accused of it. What pissed us off was they made everyone wait a couple hours and not load cars and all they checked was a helmet. We still cant believe it and will talk about it for years to come.

Trace,

They checked all 5 of us, but when he found the wire for my helmet fan, he thought he hit the jackpot. I couldnt help but laugh when i realised he was seriouse about going through my helmet. Even after i brought it back, he spent a few minutes making sure it was a fan. I got a bigger kick out of Blackburn saying his was hidden in his right shoe! I dont know for sure who he was aiming to get, but I know he spent a long time looking for something that didnt exist.

payout????

whats the payout for this race for the b-mods??? through the grapevine, i heard last year was pretty poor. just curious, thanks in advance

Gotta love the place, LOL
I only heard it was only you, guess all the laughing going on the story got skewed. All I remember for sure was once the checking started it didnt take long. I think I was waiting at the pay window, I'm not even sure if my kid made the main that night. And we still had to wait.
