Tri City Speedway rumors addressed

If you didnt have to pay that membership fee to race there maybe more people would come? We had some hornets that wanted to go when there was a rainout at highland to try the track out, but they wanted like 150 bucks or something, so we just kept them parked in the garage!!!

HEY DALE

i got a good steel block late model roller for $1800,less motor&tranny, find me a buyer and I will buy dinner,,,,

nascar member

The member fee is by nascar not the track. As a driver you have to have a nascar membership weather it's the weekly racing series or winston cup.

I agree..i think the street stock class will be awesome now..good change. I didnt like it when they kinda downgraded the rules..kinda limited them to 1 track..and others from coming. Late models..i kinda agree with Dean on that..make them run a hard tire..on the half..but oh well..the rules they are going with..may be good too..time will tell. Sportmans,no comment..learned my lesson there..lol. Dont know about the modifieds..ump rules..but no points..there again..time will tell. but it is getting to look like an exciting year next year..when's play night..lol!

Mr. Hoffner, I believe if you check the package, your sour grapes have expired and should be discarded. In theory, how silly would it be to run the NASCAR pavement late model rules on dirt? NASCAR's rules are geared toward the Late Models that run weekly at places like Hickory, South Boston, Old Dominion, etc. A completely different beast. NASCAR allows for leeway in it's rulebook so that tracks can adopt whatever class is prominent in their particular region. How would you like it if NASCAR mandated all modifieds were like those raced at Thompson and Stafford Springs? Feeling a bit silly, now aren't we.

Now, all B.S. aside, have you considered the possibility that you might fare better in something other than a modified? Recent developments have made the Sportsman class look very tempting.

Why would Nascar only have a rule book geared for those few tracks only. If they are in the weekly racing series all across the country, wouldn't you think that the rule book was written for all sanctioned tracks? What Hoff was saying was, either run local track rules only,or run nascar rules. You always have to twist s**t around and try to make it look like you know what you are talking about.

Hey Hoff, Now I know what the, down under, for his location means. Thanks for the info,I just thought he was from australia.lol

I would get real nasty,,but im not as low like him,,!!!But ya you see what kind of level hes on !!!! At least i dont hide behind a fake name!!!

lol

So how did this turn into a pissin match? Most all of this just aint that serious to worry about at this time anyway.

Wente has seen what the right rules and no nascar fee would do for a carcount......balls in his court.....ima leave it there, and hope for the best!

Does anyone know yet if tcs is going with Nascar? The last I heard was Bob was to make his decision when he went up there.

I agree..lol...some people seem a bit uptight about all this...really. All i did..was ask a question..just a question..directed at Tim.and i get a pissy remark. Wasnt called for..but..like i said..it was only a question..they have let the full frame cars..at other tracks..move their engines back(remmeber greenville?) and the rules was stated for the stub cars to have their motors in the present area..but..failed to mention the full frame cars. So..i asked the question..and bam..lol. Not meanin to diss ya terry..but i think i am owed an apology..no crap was intended. ok? Mike

racinn 90,,im not mad,,i take this with a grain of salt,,,its no sweat off my back knowin that people haft to be an *** about things,,,,Its all cool!!!!

Hey..im not mad either..just didnt deserve what was responded..you didnt either. Its all cool here.

Doesn't TCS normally have a booth at the Belleville Auction? Maybe if they do, someone there could answer the question.

Hoffner, I was sincere with my suggestion about looking into a sportsman car. I apologize for the preceeding paragraph, I was a bit grumpy the morning that I posted that.

bc

Nascar is out!!!!!!!!!!!From what I`m told,is that there will be a small(verysmall) membership fee(if ya wanna join)....other than that come on down race.......hope this helps.....

How could you possibly read that into the motor location rule?

Explain to me just exactly where in this post I got "pissy".

The only reason Tim addressed the engine location rule for stub cars is because most stub cars (Tri-City latemodels, etc.) have their engines 4 inches further back than typical sportsman cars. Tim was making it known that the stub cars would have to move their engines forward to be legal.

It was meant to be pissy as in..how can you read tha from the rule he put. Terry..i am not stupid..you might think i am..and thats called an opinion..which is fine..but..like i also said..in my reply..they let the full frame cars..at several other tracks..move their engines back..and this was going to be discussed with all the other rules. How i know this? I was asked by several people who were disussing this very issue. It was just a question..meant for Tim..not for you to go..hey..how can that dumb butt get that out of what he put in the rule. If you were on the other side of the fence..you would look at that as being pissy. Like i said..i am not mad..dont really care. It was a question..and only a question..ok? If you have a problem with me..so be it. I dont with you..but whatever floats your boat Terry. If someone you knew close to you and they would have put that queston on here..i think you would have said something bit different.
