if anyone gets updates throughout the night post them on here please.. and if possible let me know how the 41g of matt goulden is doing in the mod division.. thanks

from what a buddy was saying when i called him that there is some torn up crates, he also said they are gettin ready for features

Billy Faust wins the Late Model feature.

Brian Shirley got screwed on a bad call in my opinion. If they post the footage on watchmotorsports.com I think my opinion will be confirmed.

Billy started somewhere around 10th though. On a restart he went from 6th to 2nd in like 2 laps. I think he might have beaten Shirley on that last restart anyways.

Overall, the racing was great tonight. The drag racers had a difficult time of it but the Super Lates and Mods were awesome.

Ha

Crates were a DEMO DERBY..but it was pretty fun to watch..

All in all a good night of racing.

and I agree about the Shirley deal...he got screwed.

yeah he got screwed if he wouldnt of took #13 out deliberatly. I guess its o.k to take people out even if they are lap traffic. And he was a rookie of the year contender in WoO series. He heard faust knockin and got scared and was stuck on the bottom at the time. good call tri city.

Gary Scelzi spun out by himself going into turn one leading the feature. Came back to win it. Everyone of the NHRA drivers was spinning out like crazy in the feature. They did alright in the heat race. Gary Scelzi is awesome. He said good things about Tri City Speedway. Said we are lucky to have a good place like Tri City and that hes been to a lot of hell holes, speaking of other dirt tracks.

I was watching Shirley at the time. Kiefer was spinning before Shirley touched him. I promise you the tape will reveal it.

Craig Smith was in a pretty bad wreck in lm feature. Glad to see he was alright. Could have been alot worse.

Harrison won the feature with Tommy Jr. finishing second.

How Craig Smith and Bruce Unterbrink both came out of that crash ok is beyond me. I guess that invocation prayer before the races paid off tonight.

Chris Smith in the modified semi #1 got screwed big time. He came from the very back and would of had the last transfer spot right at the finish line until 1a Steve Meyer Jr ran it in there a little too hard running into the side of 23 Brian McCormick screwing him. That caused McCormick to run into Smith breaking his car. Way to go Steve Meyer Jr. It would of had to go the booth for replay between Smith and McCormick if Meyer Jr hadnt spoiled it. The track was I-55 fast but smooth smooth.

i also seen the same thing as jmcgrew47,

A light blue flag, sometimes with a diagonal yellow, orange, or red stripe, informs a driver that a faster car is approaching and that the driver should move aside to allow one or more faster cars to pass. If the flag is waved, it indicates to the driver that the fast car is on its tail. In some series, the blue flag is not mandatory - drivers obey it only as a courtesy to their fellow racers. In other series, drivers get severely penalized for not yielding or interfering with the leaders, including getting sent to the pits for the rest of the race.

Kiefer might wanna read that..

Hold your line

In most series that flag you speak of (incorrectly) tells you the leaders are coming hold your line. These race cars do not have mirrors so are the leaders running high or are they running low. The racer has no way of knowing so he is suppose to hold his line and it is the other cars responsibility to get around them.

As far as I know the 'Light" blue flag you are talking about means hold your line, not move out of the line you are racing to avoid running the leaders line. How are you supposed to know where the leader is running??
