Wall of Fame Inductee(s)

Joey Nash, Tom Corbin, Peanuts Campbell, Butch Campbell, Ken Schrader. They all used to race at Farmington.

wall of fame

I have to agree with gotdirt on the names of who they think should be.One of the names that stands out from the list is junior gile,he did the dirt work to the original empire speedway(told to me from the late ron thurman).Plus this man has helped other racers over the years and still attends the races to the best of my knowledge.I have not seen one person listed in any of the post that does not deserve this place on the wall and I would hate to be the person making the decision as it would be a great honor to any of them so how about seeing todays drivers make some suggestions on who they feel should be on the wall

One thing I would like all of you to remember, we are talking about this person's accomplishments and contributions to SFCR and not what he did elsewhere. Based on some of the listings I've seen I'm not sure why Perry Tripp, Ed Dixon and Jimmy Kite weren't listed. All three got their starts at SFCR... Dixon's first win ever came at SFCR.

my nominations are Jimmy Kite and Ron Standridge. Jimmy because he is a wonderfull driver and he has even raced in indy and in the 500. he also races one my Joe Reddicks sprint cars. also Ron Standridge because of all the years that he has had at SFCR i remember going to the track as a little kid and cheering for him and he would never let his fans down.

ron standridge, tommy worley sr., mike thurman, tom burch, and sometime in the future kenny harris and timmy montgomery.

i can remember when ron standridge owned everyone at SFCR. he was awesome!!! used to set people up and pass them at the flag...hes def one of my heros.

worley sr., mike thurman, and tom burch have all had some success and i believe all have won at least one championship at some point in their career.

timmy is maybe the best driver SFCR has ever had. i think everyone would agree hes a shoe-in once he gets to the point hes ready to slow down and let some of the youngsters like jason keith, jason hunt, and some of the other great up and comers have a chance at some wins. lol

kenny harris is one hell of a guy. ive known kenny since he was driving the #13 blue and white hobby stock. ive seen him go from almost there to there and he just keeps getting faster.

any one or all of these guys is worthy in my opinion. maybe the wall needs to be bigger and we need to pick two a year. LOL

i would havta say ronnie standridge for all the years he raced at sfcr the championships he won and the dedication he has to racing. Also Tom Corbin, he was always winning back when he raced. i remember seeing the yellow #14/24 in victory lane many times, not to mention he was a very nice guy(from what i hear anyways).

My Last Post On Here.......

I must say there has been some really great names brought up on here. I may be wrong but i have made my post for different reasons than most. I nominated Tommy Sr because i think he has been nominated several times and was not given it and he does deserve it. BUTTTTTTTT , the reason i nominated Kenny Harris is because i dont actualy believe a person should be picked for this stats.Although Kenny has them also. I think what also should be considered is their Drive, their willingness to always help anyone that needs advice on setting up their cars or any other racing advice. Kenny not only is a driver but he too is a dedicated race fan. He grew up in a racing family and his brother Steve, and nephew Casey are also great racers. His caring spirit that he has to help anyone in need is constant. I have seen him step up to the plate on this one many times and recently during the passing of his Mother one of these people asked him if he needed any help. That shows you that that person did not forget that when He was going through a difficult time Kenny was there for him and he was there to do the same. Everyone that knows the #69 knows that when he is on the track it will be a race to the finish. So, that is why i nominated Kenny Harris........ LeaDonna

I would have to say Ronnie Standridge. Not only has he won a lot of races and championships at SFCR he has also helped a lot of young drivers out too. I know that if he wouldn't have helped me from day 1 i would not have been as far along as I am now. Ronnie is a great racer but a better man. If you help him and show him respect he will do anything he can to return the favor. Timmy Montgomery don't deserve to be on the Wall of Fame yet LOL. He is still winning like he has just hit his prime. I hope he quits winning soon and start letting me Jason Keith, Joey Montgomery and Jason Hunt win some. Timmy is probably the most deserving of all the drivers to be on the Wall but he don't need to be on it this year. Let some of the older guys on it first.

i dont really have much 2 back it up but i would have 2 give my vote for "Rockin Ronnie Strandridge, i can rem being a youngster and going 2 watch him and he never let me down, he was a great racer and was an even nicer guy.

I'll Back ya on that one La Donna

There is more to being a good driver than the round and round alot of it has to come from the heart and everyone you talk to Kennys left a mark , a good mark. He goes the extra mile to help others. If were voting on a driver from this era that hasn't retired yet I'd vote for Kenny.

For those of you who don't know, here is the current list of "Wall of Fame" members in the order they were inducted:
Tubby Black
Danny Moser
Ron Thurman
Bob Greif
Bill Greif
Dean Adams Jr.
Bob Thoman
Dean Adams Sr.

Nobody was added last year (despite my constant *****ing to do so), so there might be some people added this year.. If you look at the picture below, you'll see the "Wall of Fame" in the background.

Others.............

Ronnie Sales, Ron Garner, Danny Resinger.......................

Anyone know who won the first sprint car feature held at the race track?

1st sprint race

If i remember from conversations held in the garage over the years i would have to say Dale Resinger

i can't see why any of you are so work up about who's going to be up on the wall of fame the whole dadgum place probably aint going to be there in a few more years anyway there rezoning the area WHY do you think montgomery and minkel sapposeditly sold out HUMMM makes you think don't it

Come One Skoob .......

Let's us have some fun on here. :D I dont know why Larry and Gary sold out, but sounds like you think you know it all ???? Fill us in ? OH and... sign your real name.... Dont be afraid, we are all family :) LeaDonna

How many people do you honestly know that would race the same day that their mothers funeral was on? That one person that would do that has my vote...Kenny "The Hustler" Harris...

Ziegler .....

I was with Kenny through his Mothers funeral and heard them speaking about racing. Kenny's Mother knew he loved the sport and she was proud of him,so he knew that he HAD to be at the track. FOR HER !!!!!! And to be surrounded by his racing family...... Another wonderful reason Kenny is eligible for this honor. LeaDonna

Kenny Harris

I would have to say that Kenny Harris is a very good nominee. He is very loyal to his fans, as stated before, and has had a possitive impact on the raceway.
