I agree Fryefan - coming on a public website and slandering people BY NAME without the hard facts to back it up is just wrong. My guess is that Schrader and Wallace bring ten times their entrant fee and more to a race track, along with their entrant fee for themselves and their teams.
 
in his first late model race lil gator used my left front for traction,,so i think i should get in free when i race..jmo
 
It's called "the draw" promoters let well known drivers in for free to attract fans, just like "cheep food in a casino" Top name drivers will be PAID to show up for big races, to include travel money and free pit passes for crew members. There are sill a lot of people who like to see Schrader, Wallace and other NASCAR drivers come to a local dirt track to race. These are the people who spend a lot of money on hotdogs and beer, they are the people who keep dirt tracks open. If you have a better idea on how to get butts in the seats, I'm sure your local promoter would be glad to hear them.
 
Don't hear you complaining about the corporate sponsors that get in for free in the suites for "so and so night". It's a way to show appreciation for their investment in our tracks. Be it corporate sponsorship, or part ownership, they contribute to the racing scene bigtime.

Interesting how you call Schrader a Nascar wanna be racer. He's raced in Nascar for over 20 years ...several years for the premier car owner in all of Nascar Rick Hendrick. Schrader is one of the most respected racers in motor sports. He's part owner in three racetracks and owns teams of his own helping many young drivers get their start in racing. These are just a few of his credentials.

How about taking a few minutes out of your time Dirtboy and list a few of your success's below...?
 
The problem with schrader and wallace is they have become too visible in dirt racing. You cant go a month hardly without seeing one or both around here. Dont get me wrong i like they still come home. But the attraction of the names just isnt there anymore.

I could care less that they get in free. My question is what happens to the money they win? Personally i dont think they need it with sponsors like federated unoh and toyota. Maybe split it up evenly thru the field

Someone posted on another thread that they were right in back of Wallace signing in at Highland and Wallace did not get in free. He paid for himself and his crew with cash.
 
I heard not long ago Kenny gave someone his winnings for the night. It was a modified driver who crashed and didnt make the end of the feature.
 
Just want to say to the supporters of these men and their commitment to racing of all kinds, thank you. Shame on you who speak nothing but slander on uneducated assumptions about them and their character. I feel sorry for your friends whom I'm sure get the shaft of running your mouth behind their back as well.
 
Speaking for someone who wishes they had a job that let's them watch local racing more frequently(me), c'mon Friday! Let's Go Racing!!!

you obviously need to put some reading glasses on and reread what you think you saw! That is not what was posted. They said they was behind him and he did not pay a penny for him and his crew to get in. Reread and know facts before posting!

There were two different posts on this. One definately said Wallace paid with cash for himself and his crew.

well your going to have to tell me what post it was in because i just got done searching all the post about it i believe and i couldnt find one that said that! I did find the one started by what a joke on 3-31-2013 about this and hes the one who said he was behind him and not one of them got a checkbook out or money out and paid! So you need to tell me what post its in. Sorry but i just cant find it

Good post! Dont matter tho, still cant fix stupid and this sight is full of un-informed, unintelligent, unnapreciative stupidity. Buncha know-it-all whistledicks that would rather sit on their *** and complain than ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING TO HELP THE SPORT.

I click on the forum section at the top and then went to Stl racing discussion. The thread i believe was "Highland What A Joke" started by what a joke. Heres my thing if two people was standing right behind him in line waiting to pay and one says he did and one says he didnt that must mean they was together and neither one can get a story straight. My thing is if all the locals have to pay so should they. Like somebody else stated earlier these two that we are talking about in this area has played out the fan base, as much as they run in this area i just dont see them bringing that many fans into the seats anymore. 5/10 years ago yes but not anymore......so as for the letting them in free for the benefit of putting butts in the seats i dont see it. If you remeber correctly this very subject was brought i believe last year about these two. If its true they dont pay then then why should they take the check at the end of the night should the win?? Not fair to the guys who bust their tails week in and week out just to get by and race on what little they got. Theres a couple guys in this area that i believe should go on a touring series because they have way to much money invested i these cars to be running local shows.let the normal guy do his thing with what little hes got instead of them coming in here and taking it all away because they have way more money and they want to be the hero. Jmo

Idiot Boy, Just for your info. Kenny Wallace was seen first hand paying for himself and the 5 guys with him Friday night, and it was cash. You need to stick with what you know best (drinking beer).
