I don't remember when they were going to have the meeting for the Doe Run mini stocks, but if they've already had the meeting are there any rule changes for 2007?

Thanks....

No Compression rule...and tire hardness changed to 45....everything else remains the same.

O and a 1/2" hole on side of oil pan.

Think that's it...

Crap other hole that’s going to set Bob back months.
And Jeff get a life and try something different, hey maybe women are worth a shot try it once.

you mean like we use to have in the rams ? the notoruis 55 gallon drum thing .... did everybodys leak ? I remember a few that leaked

Mine leaked bad and it still does. I had to use that pan again late this year, I hate that thing. That was a 2" hole though, a 1/2" is more reasonable.

O and 1 more thing.

You can run wieght jacks on all 4 corners..BOB!! so get that thing down here next year!

What size hole do we have for the drain plug? I am wondering how to put another hole in the pan without taking it off the motor. If I would leave it on the motor what happens to the metal chips? My motor is pretty fresh and I wasnt going to pull it this winter. If I am not mistaken, you have to pull the motor to drop the pan on an S-10, is this correct?

I wasn't going to pull mine either but know i'll have to pull it to put the plug on. I wouldn't do it on the motor! they said they needed a 1/2 hole on the side on the pan. They will tell us where at a later date. I was just going to drill a 1/2 hole and then weld a nut to the inside of the pan and put a bolt in it.

Yes you can run 13" tires but have to have a tire hardness of 45 which is basically any tire but a sprint car front tire.

And Duck as far as pulling the pan with the motor in....that's a pain in the butt. I can have the motor out, put the plug in and put it back in faster with no leaks faster than doing it with the motor in the truck...believe me I've tried it the other way and it STINKS...I learned real quick back in 2002. You can do it with the motor in. Pull the mount bolts and hoist it up til it hits the floor pan but it still is super tight.

im my vw transmission cases i drill a hole in them 2 be able to adjust the shifting fork and i plug the hole with, well im not really sure what they are they sell them at auto zone, thier made of brass and have a rubber boot on them that when u tighten the bolt it expandes the boot outward im sure u guys know what im talking about, u might try them ive used one for the last 3 years and never had one leak. But then again if u have to pull the pan it might be easier to go with Bills idea. Have u thought about putting a bunch of grease on the end of your drill bit to catch the shavings? We have had to do this before but normally just when we didnt have time to pull motors. But so far so good, we have done it to about 4 or 5 different motors and so far no shavings.

If its a half inch hole, use a 1/2 wood spade bit. It will be good for only one use, but it will not put near the shavings in the pan. Probably none cause it just cuts the outside edge, and the center. And if you clean the pan before hand, (paint and all) in that area, you can just put the plug in the nut and weld it to the outside of the pan. Using this method, you can also put a good magnet next to the area you are drilling, and the cuttings will be attracted to it.

Don't forget to drain most of the oil. I would say leave a quart to push the shavings back out just a thought if you leave it on your motor BObby
