Well that is what Doe Run is trying to do. Keep them as stock as possible. That way someone can put a little bit of money in one and be competitive. But some want to put an outrageous amount of money in their car and drive the price of being competitive sky high.

well I still didnt get my answer i wanted ford casting # on head? No what I think he ought to do is put a claimer rule on the motor.

I put a diferrent motor in mine this week its about 60 - 70 pounds heavier i must have put the wrong one in oh well i think it might be the one with the steel crank that aint knifed to death or it might have a few more cylinders.

OK here we go...
To the best of my recollection the words "let them win" were not said at all. The words "they're racing for points, give them some room" were said. It was the last points night for ALL our classes and some of the races were tight. I didn't want anything to happen between the drivers that hadn't raced there all year and the ones who had supported us all year. THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON.
As I have said before many many MANY times, ANYONE IS WELCOME TO RACE AT OUR FACILITY PROVIDED THEY MEET OUR RULES. If anyone suspects that your car/truck/airplane or whatever doesn't meet our rules and has the money to protest; put your money down on the table and protest the car/truck/airplane or whatever. We'll be more than happy to either confirm or disprove your suspicions.
Teardowns will be conducted according to our written rules and no other way.
If anyone has any questions at all, you know how to reach us.
Hope to see you all Friday, the weather's looking great!
P.S. Phil...time's running out, do you have your outfit ready????

hey if ol wolf had a stroker then why couldn't he get around me in the heat race at fredericktown (I spun a bearing pushing it so hard) and that motor had 180000 miles on it 2 years ago!!! now wolf even our rules say you get protested you get torn down that night so you and jr be ready to wrench also smile and show them the money after you take it thank them and tell em you put it to good use next year to go faster as far as bellews collecting a bounty on you If I was Bobby I would get to the bottom of that rumor! I was consider trying DRR out once... but if only certian "rock" drivers will be allowed to race and the others marked to be taken out... then my car will sit from here on out until spring....and what was said to wolf in the pitts about "that will teach you to keep your car at fredericktown" ........
as far as fredericktown cars being faster all I can say is do your home work and study about your cars like we have .....
when you DRR guy came to the rock I passed everyone of you with a BONE STOCK motor until plug wire fell off and bustted oil line... so some of it aint motor it the handleing of the car and the lose nut behind the wheel
guys before you tear into dave car better know what your looking for.... we had somebody going to tear him down earlier this year but chinckened out (man I wanted to tear into wolf's car!! )

I know without a doubt you would have had nothing to do with it and neither would Kenny, but there apparently is strong evidence that a "bounty" was set up to take Wolf out. With several other RAMS mini stocks still possibly interested in making the trip out there I'm sure this is a concern for all. Are you going to investigate it and let us know something? A "bounty" put up to beat someone is one thing, but one to take somebody "out" is unforgiveable and I'm sure you don't want that kind of information floating around if it is not true.

Millsey, you know that this "bounty" issue can NEVER be proven to be fact or fiction. What STRONG EVIDENCE do you have? The hearsay from other people? That would never hold up in the court of law .You know as well as I do that this kind of crap floats around every year. I can think of many drivers who would love to take another guy out...they are called hot-headed race car drivers!!!!!! In fact, I know drivers that would say that took someone out on purpose (even if it was an accident) because they know that's what others want to hear. Nothing against Wolf, but we all know he has his share of enemies...the guy that wins is NEVER liked...and I'm sure there are MANY who would say they took him out on purpose (whether they did or not). If they aren't talking about ya, then you aren't doing enough to get any recognition...plain & simple, good or bad.
BUT, how do you honestly think Bobby is going to get to the bottom of this. RUMORS, RUMORS, RUMORS...EVERY track has rumors floating around about it. Bobby and DRR are NO different!!!!! How many rumors floated around about The Rock this year, Jeff, and you didn't get on here and defend EVERY single issue. That's part of racing. As far as Fredericktown Mini Stock drivers being scared to race at DRR because they think they might be marked.......THAT'S NOT AN ISSUE!!!!!!! ALL of them should feel free to race at Doe Run. i'd watch out in the ministock class,,last race i seen it was a damn demolition derby. i think some 01 took out this beat up 00 truck or something and the 00 still got the feature win when the 01 finished in front of him so therfore the 01 should've been granted the win. i guess maybe it was a lil favoritism?? or maybe it was the right call...i was just thinking about that. want to keep your ministock from being torn up don't go to doe run. but other than the ministocks the racing was great. my personal favorite was the mini modifieds. very cool

I don't think you would have to worry about repairing the flaming 75 car after racing at Doe Run. If you would rather park a perfectly good race car for the rest of the year instead of racing it, that's your choice. However, MOST drivers prefer to race as much as possible before the season is up...don't forget that WINTER will be here in NO TIME and then you CAN'T race!!!! A race car can be tore up at any track on any given night...trust me, I know...that's just a chance you take when you get out on the track. Several drivers have had to put new bodies on their cars this year. Some instances just can't be prevented.
