what heck was that about 445am

You beat me too it.....Just sitting here on the computer and the moniter started rattling and i could feel it for about a minute. Nothing like this morning though. This stuff is too freaky....

Just felt another one

Live in Perryville area and just had another big round here. I was reading everyone elses post from the one earlier and everything started shaking.
It started off with just feeling the vibration for about 30 seconds and then it hit really hard with everything trying to fall off shelves in the house. Everything on my desk started to walk around that lasted for over a minute. Sure hope this isn't a start to something worse. This felt even worse to me than the one that woke me up this morning and that one was no fun.
 
yeah we just felt the one just now too.. and i thought i felt one at about 8 oclock this morning to but i guess not.. it only last bout 2 seconds

I live in the same trailer park as Kent and we had a trailer explode. I don't think it was a meth house.

I did not feel the quake this morning, slept right through it, but did feel and after shock around 10:20 am.
 
I woke to my bed rattleing, thought it was th kids climbing in bed, they usualy do about that time every morning. So i stood up to help them but the werent there. the the floor started shaking. Then I knew what it was. I haven't been back to sleep yet, and just felt an aftershock about 30 inutes ago. My kid slept through it all. Not a good way to start off the weekend.:(
 
Just went down stairs to listen to the breaking news report. They say this one was only 4.5 and the one this morning was 5.2. I guess this one felt worse because I was in the upstairs of the house on the computer.
And this morning I was on the ground floor of the house.
 
Can you imagine a major earthquake. It is possible for my wife and I,that both work in Missouri to get isolated from our kids for a considerable amount of time, if all the local bridges had structure damage... 2 years this July a storm comes through and knocks out power for 8 days at my place. Trust me. We are on our own out here....I got some bottled water, a plastic tarp and some duct tape. Everything is going to be o.k. LOL

I felt the aftershock at 10:15am. To me, it felt more like a side-to-side shaking, as everything in my cubicle here at work was going that ways. The one at 4:37am was just a general up and down type bouncing, like a train going by.

It's definately got me perky now, every vibration feels like an earthquake.
 
I woke up to my bed shaking & thought I was in a scene from the Exorcist!
I also felt the one in downtown St. Louis this morning. I'm on the 5th floor of a 15 story building. The whole building was shaking. I'm on the disaster recovery team so I have my kit packed & ready to go! FREAKY STUFF!!

We felt both of them in Jacksonville, IL this morning. Closet doors making lots of noise, floor & bed shaking - pretty wierd.

I'm old enough to remember the one in 1968 too :)

sorry folks don't be alarmed. i rolled over and fell out of bed again. when i hit the floor i went black for a moment. i couldn't warn u it was just me.
 
Cracked both of my sidewalks. 1 is now broke in the middle and arched upwards. The other cracked and is twisted. Maybe i can get an aftershock to go backwards??? Ok..sorry. No more aftershocks. Glad noone was hurt and the damage is minimal.
 
Woke the wife up but I slept right through it, even a meth house blowing up wouldn't wake me up LOL We did have one blow up down the road aways on Tues morn, hope it eradicated all of them LOL

The last big one around here was in 68 on a Sat morn. The old man had his car up on a jack but didn't get hurt. I was on the throne so I know where TTG is coming from LOL

Funniest thing I heard about this one was the idiots that said they ran to the basement LMAO

Jennifer, You would know it if a meth house blew up just ask pops. A few years ago at the top of the hill one went up in flames. It kinda sounded like when Bigeavil1 fell out of bed. (So He says) I did not hear the boom but I did feel the house rock. Don't do that again Bigevil1 you got my dogs all wound up this morning.:D

That wasn't an Earth Quake, that was the Oil Companies trying to shake more money out of your pockets!
