Who is building and/or racing a "B" Mod at Fredrock?

Well guys and girls its a new year and with everything out with the old and in with the new. I'd been getting pretty down and disgusted with the way my racing program was going and didnt really know if I wanted to race or sell or whatever. I got out this weekend and hung out with some of my old racing buddies in their shops. I had a lot of laughs remembering old times and got my batteries charged back up again for more of those good times. Long story short the car is not for sale. My new years resolution is to be there opening night! And I will race as many nights as the good Lord will allow. Cant wait to see you all at the track. Happy New Year! Danny

if ya'll know of anyone else wanting to build a b mod, I have a 97 impressive bare chassis and some odds and ends parts that go with it. It's a 3 bar car. I had thought about building one, but have decided to spend in a different direction. car is in my way. would take $350 for it and parts (fuel cell, uppers and lowers, mid plate, spindles, seat, ..... anything i can find to go with it) I need it out of my garage. if interested, call mike at 573-915-8580 located in park hills, mo good luck to all in the 07 season. we're gonna bring our mini stock down and check out the new Rock this year:D

Danny, I'll be there a time or two depending on Malden's schedule.

Paul it will be great having you with us. I can't wait to get the track finished so we can go racing. I worked on a couple of promotions for the track today. The start of the season is really looking to be a lot of fun so get those cars ready early.

kinda thought the same myself, maybe should have made it more, lol. people r probably thinking there is something wrong with it.

I would love to have your car Jim, as a matter of fact, I have one of your old cars in my garage now. Just the bare frame and some odds and ends. Thought I would put it together but I don't have the money or any idea where to start. I've been wanting a mod for YEARS and all I could afford is a ministock. If I had the money, Your boat would be in your garage, and the car would be in mine. I guess I kinda screwed up by buying a bare frame to begin with, but then I got my money's worth in the other parts. I should've bought a roller to begin with. anyway I guess ill have a ministock for awhile longer.

Folks, do the math. How much would it cost to build a car just to get to a roller? Jim has layed one hell of a deal on the table. This is an excellent setup for someone wanting to get in to mods. You will not build one for that price. Think about it. Motor, tranny, ??? you could have a compeditive b-mod for about $5000 - TOTAL (not sure exactly what fredrocks motor rules are)
Thats d@mn cheeeeeeeppp.

Well add one more B mod to the list!!! I should have this mod in my garage Saturday minus motor unless something crazy happens between now and then. Now I just got to sell my ministock to get that motor!!! It may be sold...may know something tonight but not sure..

Congratulations Bill.... I'm sure you guys will enjoy the class. There is not a day that goes by where somebody does not contact me with questions about the "B" mods. I've got a feeling that class will just not have a good first year, it will flurish and grow like crazy. I know Jason and I have been working hard to get our car ready because we don't want to miss out.

are you saying it won't have a good year or it not only will have a good year but will fluish and grow?

Once I sell the truck i'll be alot more ready!

This first year is going to be great. Plus I'm really going to do a lot of PR on the class to help build it up. I bet it catches on big time in this area and spreads to other tracks. Plus the good thing about the "B" mods is you can still run them with any of the IMCA mod races. It's a great way to learn and get into the modified class without breaking the bank...

Hummmmm????

And just think, the first time that Jason and I brought up the idea of this set of rules "THE POWERS FROM ABOVE" said there was no way that Fredericktown could build its own class of B-mods and make it work. Hopefully, all of the interest that has been shown on here and with all of the phone calls, shows up at the track.
This class was setup to give the guy on a budget a better chance of being competitive. The guy with the most money to spend is almost always going to have the advantage, but maybe with some good tech work :D we can keep it fair and FUN!!!

So if the rules are the same as Malden's, why is everyone calling it "B" mod? From what I've seen the "B" mods up north have very open rules, where as the "E" mods from Malden and farther south have "E-conomy" rules. I do hope Fredericktown has a better car count than Malden did their 1st go around with the emods. They had 5-6 show up on a weekly basis the 1st season, but it's grown to 15-20. I've heard from several more that "plan" on having one ready for this season. Good luck, and Maybe I'll see you there a time or 2 depending on Malden and now, Benton.

well i got me a mod now! If you know of anyone looking for a ministock....
tilley i see you run malden...if you know of any guys down there looking for a good ministock send them my way!

Bill
