why are pevely pro 4 drivers running with the rams at mcs

just thought i would get everbody worked up a little bit.fun while it lasted

Ok, all he!! will break loose now. First of i am a ALLIED member, i raced at I-55 last year and the start of this year. I enjoyed the hell out of it and made some very good friends. I know that i banged doors with some drivers but i believe i have a reputation of being a laid back driver and a CLEAN driver. The officials have even said that they wanted guys to move up after a couple of years to a different class becouse the Pro Fours were a beginner class. I built a Pinto so that i could be more competitive with the mustangs and some of the front wheel drive cars. The S-10's are quick but not front runners every week. After i spent the time and money to build my Pinto and was told I wasn't allowed to run certain parts that were being used the year before, i decided to leave them on the car. Why spend money on parts and then take them off and let them go to waste. So I did the next logical thing, I MOVED up a class. I haven't finished very high becouse I am still workin on the car gettin the bugs worked out. I am now a RAMS member and an ALLIED member. Nobody pushed me out or made me leave I-55. I still have my S-10 that I will race on occasion at I-55. But, ask yourself this, if any driver has a chance to get at least $25 back for starting the feature, that is the next week ends entry fee. So what is wrong with expanding ones racing horizon. More tracks, more competitors, more seat time, I believe that makes a better driver. Also, Ed Dixon was at MCS Saturday night becouse I-55 was RAINED OUT. So who cares if the Pevely guys came and raced at MCS. They put on a show and made it worth while for the fans. I said my peace and will probably get an earful, what this forum is for right? But everyone be safe and have FUN, what its about.

If Allied Pro 4's Can Go And Beat The Rams, Whats That Sayin'?????

Are The Rams Not Allowed To Hop The Motors Very Much??? Or Are These Pro 4's Bending The Rules At I55???

He!l I Might Claim That 8 car.;)

Hello this is the #01 Rob Denny. I have been racing with the (RAMS) or mini stocks for 2 years. With the #01 s10 won 1 feature at Doe Run. Has something changed? So now i have to ask WHO is racing at (TCS) HMMM? $50 for 1st So on. I think that is the Price brothers Who has MADE THIS POST. End of story I am not locked in to (ALLIED) So i can go to other tracks. No sportsman car for pevely, or purestock Bellville. Thinking Pro Mod for Farmington. PS I was the 1st (LOL wanna bee) These cars and trucks look and run too good TOO BEE WANNA ANYTHING. I havent won a race at Pevely in 2 years. And it was fun.

HEY GUYS!
LISTEN TO ALL OF YOU!
There is so much drama where is the fun!?! You guys are calling people liars and cheaters...YOU SOUNDS LIKE GIRLS!
Im simplying saying from a fan point of view, that some of you are complaing when certain drivers are at pevely, then you complain when they go to a different track! If anything, when they go to a different track it gives you a better chance of winning, thats what you want right??
Just have fun!
Congrats Rob and Pat for 1st and 2nd place at MontCity last week!

no he was driving a FORD:D :D

The only reason certain drivers are complaining about the Pro 4 drivers that have moved to MCS is because they are scared to death that these drivers will come back to Pevely. You couldn't win when these drivers were there and now that they are gone you are trying to make sure that they don't come back. Ask yourself this - with these Pro 4 drivers gone - when you win at Pevely, what is it that you win? Your car isn't the best or it would have won against the drivers that left. You get no money, all you are doing is making money for a race track that gives no respect to the Pro 4 drivers. Oh that's right, you get the $8 trophie that collects dust and everytime you show it off, it will remind you that you couldn't win against the best Pro 4 drivers, you could only win after they left. So, enjoy your wins and quite whinning like a bunch of babies!

Welcome .....

Im not going to get into the argument of some as to why they should or shouldn't be racing with the RAMS at MCS. I would just like to express that we The RAMS are excited about these men racing with us and let them know we welcome any of them that want to race with us. Congrats to Rob Denny on his Feature win last week and we are looking forward to seeing you all at DRR on some Friday nights. Again, Welcome guys !!! LD :)

Wasnt pevely rained out last week anyway? all of you guys are always welcome to come run with us as long as you meet our rules.

I have to get in on this one

Let me start with a way to go for Rob and Pat!!!

And next I'd like to give a big thanks to the Rams guys. You really are a great bunch of guys. The Rams have always welcomed us with open arms and have treated us as equals and enjoy the competition. Thats what makes racing fun!!

Now, on to the why should they be allowed to run with the Rams, Why not? If you can build a car that is legal to run at several tracks then I would think you have every right to run it anywhere you please. In fact I have sold my car to my nephew who incedently took it out saturday and pretty much wasted it on the wall at pevely. I don't know if that car will be back or not but it made me realize I made a mistake in getting rid of it.

With that in mind I intend to build another one, one that will be compatable with any track I choose to run it. I already miss racing very much and I'm looking forward to re-uniting with my friends and meeting people I haven't had the pleasure of racing with. I need to get some information on what is and what is not allowed at different tracks so that I can design my car to make the transition from one track to another in a matter of a few hours work.

That being said, I don't know how long it will take cause this is going to be a from scratch build, but I assure you I'm coming back. Looking forward to that,
In the meantime good luck to all, I'll see ya soon

i agree with trashdog about the tri city, alot of the guys come from different tracks and run thats ok but i know alot of the guys from other tracks are illegal and thats not right to the cars that are legal tech need to step up to the plate. alot of legal guys and gals are getting screwed in factory stocks at tri-city

I built a pro 4 car for I-55 which my son races. It was built for pevelys rules and is as legal as any. When we went over to tri-city to race, we read their rules and made changes where necessary to be legal there. Their tech man (Max K.) was in our pit within 5 minutes of our arrival to check our car out & pointed out several things we didn't know & what had to be done before we could race. We went back this week & he was there to check us out again. Personally I'm more than pleased with the way they are running the class & we'll return any time it's possible for us. If you're in this class & aren't successful, read your rulebook over & over, do ALOT of research on your car type, use your head AND try new ideas, scout your competition AND make friends with them, and drive clean & stop complaining. If you KNOW they're outright cheating to win, tell me HOW & I'll be glad to pass it on to an official myself. If you're just speculating, sorry. By the way, any time we're at tri-city, and are beating your car, and you get the idea we're cheating, feel free to visit & talk awhile, we'll do the same. Just my opinions.
