So, for argument's sake, if I build a motor for my nephew to run in his modified that makes a huge amount of torque and horsepower comparable to a high end Mullins or Toyota, is that bad because I'm not a commercial engine builder and won't do it for everybody?

I think its funny when people start coming up with excuses why their favorites don't win. Start thinking happy thoughts, it might help to make for a happier existence. :D

IF you really want to see how good Billy can drive somebody put up $1500 cash ,so he can go to any big show you want , my gess he will WIN ... PS if you all want to know he has won from 2000 (34) A mains with out the new motor , you do the math ......... Havent seen Billy drive but once are twice this year you can bet all be their SATURDAY cant wait .. Good luck to all drivers in all classes remeber GO fast tell you see GOD then break . This is funny! It went from UMP to I hate Billy! Then I love Billy he is the man, no he is cheater,No he is the best....lol Billy has won alot over the years but he works hard for it. No wait! What im I saying. He gets everything gave to him and thats not right! No..no I love him he is the smoothest driver ever..no he cheats I think he soaks his tires dont tell anyone..ssshhh......lol. No I love Billy he is my HERO!! Well not realy Brent is he is the track Champion!!!!:p:D
 
I thought the rules said that the engines used in the Amod class had to be able to be put in a production passanger car with no modifications. How does the Toyota comply to this rule. I'm not bashing Billy by no means I love watching him race. Just curious thats all.
 
jfrob is correct. IMCA cannot approve the Toyota motor unless they change that rule. Billy was winning without the Toyota,but should not be allowed to run it. The track should enforce the rules not make excuses like the owner did saturday night. The rules should be for everyone, not just for those whom they choose. Whether it be about safety or fair play. We are basically being told to like it or leave. Bet if someone showed up with an all aluminum 410 to R&D, that it would not be allowed to run.JMO

Build all the engines you want, makes no difference to me but be realistic and explain how the Toyota engine is good for local racing?
 
at least sfcr got put in the map for the first dirt win for toyota that was local there leting a local racer do the work for it

It's a motor in a car, it's that simple. You explain to me how it's bad, it was your argument first. Whether the Toyota is locally available or not is no different than a guy having the resources to build and machine his own motor. The whole thing is just coming from people looking for something to cry about. If not the Toyota it would be something else, some people just have nothing better to do.

And as far as all of the IMCA talk, it's been pick and choose about those rules from the start. You go by IMCA rules and you just eliminated 99% of your a mods thanks to the aluminum heads and aluminum roofs alone. SFCR is not an IMCA sanctioned track just loosely basing their rules on them. You guys are pretty entertaining though, I'll give ya that.
 
Pwracing....SFCR is not IMCA sanctioned. If they were then everyone would be illegal bc all the A mods have a quick change rear end in them. Amongst a few other things farmington allows for them.
 
Wingsrock and Blocker419, you miss my point! The loosely based on IMCA thing is the problem. Dont put a set of rules out there if you are not going to enforce said rule! That allows the track to pick and choose who is illegal and who isn't!!! Get it now or do I need to repeat that? That is and has been the problem all along. Plus what happened that night, by a certain team, would have got just about anyone else thrown out of the race. More rules that are not enforced!!! Therefore the situation gets worse at which time you have to ask yourself if you want to put up with this year after year!!! Am I being to vague for you guys and everybody else. THEY DONT ENFORCE THE RULES EQUALLY!!! And to the idiots that vandalized my car that night, you can tell your hero thats why it became personal. I personally don't care what the rules are. Just put some put there and enforce them and enforce them equally. That is to include conduct and safety as well.
