Where else can (could) you see the area's best Late models AND the Area's best Sprints in the same show every Sunday night. It was awesome: Taylor, Long, Weaver, Pierce, Leka in their prime and many others and Shirley, Milton, Tony Wyent, Jim Moughan, Sr., the Standridge boys in the sprints. Good memories except for the flying chunks of mud hitting me in the head.

St. Charles was the THE place to be on a Sunday nite. Where else could you go to watch the be the best and only dirt track racing on a Sunday nite and Bring your own beer for the grandstands. They always packed the house and had a good car count.Obviously Gundaker remembered the days and look...tri-city...packed house and high car counts.

I enjoyed many sunday nights out at St. Charles....great racing...some people didnt like the track but you get that...I dont care for highland to much but it has some good races...but all in all I wish St Charles was still a sunday night dust thrower...I remember some of the racers racing on the go cart track next door to
