Browntowns, IL Crate LMs

Your confused, try being a racer figuring out your rules and requirements and all that stuff for your series. Like your 51%, what membership fee you want to pay(i.e. weekly track, touring series, or both), where this championship race is going to be held, whether to run goodyear's or hoosier's, where your race track's are even at ( I have'nt seen a schedule yet), and so on. And your CONFUSED try being us. Maybe you can release a press release to announce some upcoming information to be disclosed later.

Its not that confusing really.

1. You only pay where you want to be scored for points. You are welcome to race with Fastrak and not even be a member.

2. The 51% is so you can go and race other places as well. All you have to run is 51% of the races at a weekly sanctioned track to be qualified for the Nationals.

3. We did design it so the guy that can't afford to run 3 or 4 nights a week is not at a disadvantage. He can run one one track and take the same amont of points to the Nationals as the guy that can travel all over the place. Points do not accumulate.

4. Nationals will not be disclosed until Sept 1st. Done that way so someone can't be there every weekend practicing therefore having an unfair advantage when it comes time to have the Nationals. It will be in TN or KY. THats about all I can say about it and not end up disclosing the location.

5. Track will be different all three nights of the Nationals. Night one= Smooth and heavy, Night two=Rough and bumpy, Night three= dry slick and packed hard.

Hope that helps.

Well now that you are on the subject.
So on #4, from the way it is worded you don't have a track to hold this at YET. Also, I am guessing this track won't run Crate Cars there all year long except for your show because that would mean the locals would have in your words a "unfair advantage".

#5, You might want to think about your ablity to predict track conditions on night #2, I dont know of too many teams that would appreciate you creating a rough and bumpy race track on purpose to race on unless you are planning on having Crate Baja races.

And one point you forgot to address is your SCHEDULE AND RACETRACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for you trying to help me understand your series, I am trying to help you understand what the racers are wanting to know.

HOPE THIS HELPS

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Nothing like advertising that you're actually trying to have a crappy surface.

I am trying to figure #4 out Stan. If you are tying to help the weekly racer then how is waiting till September first helping. Some people need more time than that to put in for vacation, Some people that dont have loads of cash laying around need to know how far they are going so they can plan a budget, some people have kids to make arrangements for, So here is my opinion: Let the people practice practice cause if they run crates at this secret place then there are some people going to have a advantage. If they dont run crates then how many people are going to run their crate late models with street stocks just to practice, I wouldnt because I think more of my car than that. And also most tracks wouldnt allow it..... Further more I would rather race and have a good time instead of sitting at home wondering were i am going to race at in the first place..... Just to let everyone know that this is just my opinion and I am not siding with no one on nothing at this time. Thanks very much for everyones time!!!!!!!

Schedule: schedule will be posted on the new web site. It should be up by the end of the week. With more than 70 events across the country its a little more than my ability to cut and paste.

National track has been a done deal for a while now. Sorry but I even turned down a sponsor because I wouldn't tell them where it was either. I will keep this as fair as possbile to everyone.

Rough to me is probably pretty normal to lots of people. Remember in the South most of the tracks are hard packed red clay and smooth. So rough compared to that. Not a mine field. LOL!!

The dates for the Nationals are the same as they have been from day one. Points stop across the nation on Sept 30th. Nationals are two weeks later. Open practice weds, feature 1 Thursday, feature 2 Friday and Feature 3 Sat with Sunday in case of rain. Announcing it 45 days before hand hopefully will be enough for everyone.

See you this weekend!!!!!
