I think Scott Weber will do a great job in a late model. He is one of the premiere modified drivers in the area, why would'nt you want him in a modified. I personally am surprised this did'nt happen sooner. If Randy is handing the wheel over to rookie with no Late model experience, that shows everyone that Randy has a lot of faith in him, and so should we. I also think it is very responsible on Scott's part to say that if he is not comfortable after hot laps he will not continue. Good Luck scott I'm sure you will do a great job.
I heard and correct me if I am wrong Tina but I heard Scott told Randy that if he did not feel comftable in hotlaps he would not run the heats and ect. And Randy said something like If I bring the car you are gonna race it. That says a whole lot of what Randy has in confidence of Scott.. I believe Scott can do a NICE JOB!!!! But be for real and don't set expectaions that are hard to achieve....
Especially 1st time in one to race.... I say GO SCOTTY and have a BLAST Saturday night..... And Good Luck in the modified also.....

Who said anything about expectations? The only thing we hoped for; NOT expected was to have the opportunity to drive a late model, and the opportunity is on Saturday, that is just the way it worked out. He'll hotlap, qualify, and we will see from there.

I feel I must apologize to the Weber's and Korte Racing for all the discussion about this topic. I posted this on Saturday afternoon fully intending that the race would be over before there was time for much discussion. After the rains came and I-55 was called off I realized that I should have waited!
I did not intend for this to become a big debate about anyones ability nor did I want to put any extra "pressure" on the parties involved.
That said I have confidence that with amount of experience and talent Scott Weber has as well as the years of racing knowledge that both Randy and Scott have, they will make the right decisions at the track.
I hope that the racing community can just sit back and watch what happens instead of asking a bunch of hypothetical questions about what "might" happen.
Again I am sorry for my bad timing and I will try to use better judgment next time.

Re- Group.. I was implying that Randy has alot of confidence in Scott.. And he (RANDY) was basically implying who cares if it's Nationals you hotlap it, you drive it, and have fun with it... That was the information I wanted you to clarify for me... I indicated that Scott can do a nice Job, no doubts or slamming here.. But I see where the response would come after seeing COLES anal response's and all... Scott SCARED ROLMAO!!!!! I think Korte's car is perfect for SCOTT.. My comment was not meant to be mean or say the Scott should
not drive the car. There was not meant to be claws out for anything that I said. As I said in my comment not to take it the wrong way but all of you people did...... I will say it again I think Scott is a good driver.........Hope you have a good night Scott.

I have to agree with you about the top mod in Missouri and Illinois. Would be top in the nation if he was running for points.... But glad to see him racing for fun.. That points chase can be crazy sometimes.... Now here's a senario.....

I know for a fact that kid thinks you're the Bomb!!!!! What you did was way above and beyond.... Remember what goes around comes around. Even though Weber didn't make the feature lastnight he still looked pretty good. I don't think it would take him very long to be real good in a latemodel. Good job Scott!!!!!!!
