Tri-City, Belle-Clair & I-55 cancel this weekend due to unfavorable weather conditions

Don't quite understand this yes 31 degrees on Saturday morning but the low over night Saturday into Sunday is 40 so during race time it will be about 44 degrees this doesn't make any sense at all

Guess i didn't lose last week when everyone stayed home

I think its a great decision. The winds are going to be 20mph. I only know a few fans that will sit through that. I know as a racer I don't like abusing my engine in cold temps like this. Alcohol engines don't like sub 50 temps.

Smart think on the promoters part. Don't need them to be losing money without good crowds in the stands. At least this gives everyone a chance to make other plans.

Farmer City did pretty well this past weekend but that was for a big $ show. I went Saturday night but wouldn't sit through those same cold conditions for a regular show night.

Good call. I sat through both Friday night at Belleville and Saturday night at Highland. It was very cold and uncomfortable! I kept thinking about my dog all alone in my warm house. The stands weren't too bad at Belleville but almost empty at Highland. I know they don't make any money when no one comes to the tracks. We can't have too many losing nights when the promoter can't make any profit over expenses. Tracks go out of business that way. They have to make their overhead expenses. Most people don't want to go out when they know they will be miserable sitting in the cold for hours. It's different when you're the racer and you want to race. But racing is still a business deal whether the racer wants to admit it or not.

It will be nicer at highland this week than it was last week. IDK if it is a good decision to race or not, but their car count will probably be up with everyone else taking off. The wind isn't as much of a factor at highland as it is elsewhere. I personally hope they race, but understand either way. If they do race maybe they will get the car count will be high enough for faustfan to find something else to b!tch about.

I got news for you....they sit at the races and play with their phones. Don't know why they pay to get in to play with their phones all night.
