Dude, money spends anywhere. If I wanted a Super Latemodel Engine I would have it by Friday morning. There is no shame in not being able to fund a high dollar venture like running a SLM. Unless you have tons of sponsor money rolling in it is tough. No need to try to give excuses.

No, Dixon has funding issues. There are plenty of engines to be bought if you have funds to buy them. No shame though, times are tough for sure.

Tires...Our version of the steroid era.

Open tire rules is the only fix to all of this unfortunately. Not that I agree with it at all. The biggest problem is the chemicals being used is unknown to most of the people using it. What adverse effects does it have on the people around its usage?? The tire companies are licking their chops...

    Tony Stewart... Wow

If it has wheels and is able to race chances are Smoke can run it pretty good. He is the modern day A.J. Foyt.

    Kentucky lake motorspeedway

Facility is awesome. The track configuration and the resulting racing stunk. Whoever buys it needs to dig all that dirt out and replace it with dirt from Haubstadt IN. Then either narrow down the track or flatten it out. As far as the crowds go, as long as they don't serve booze the stands will...

What year did the track open in Pevely?

The drag strip was there well before the oval was built. I used to go the drags every Sunday with the guy that owned a grocery store that my Mom worked at in south St.Louis. When they started doing excavating for the oval we all thought that it was the dumbest move we ever heard of. The last...

The only way I could see that happening is if the guy in front of you had tires dripping wet and you drove in his tracks. Most of the treatments I have seen evaporate pretty quick. When was the last time anyone ever had a tire finish a race with rubber build up on it?? Not likely.

Kloos' tires were found to be ILLEGAL!!!!

next year for a woolms show, track was extremely heavy and was 1 groove as all heck. i was kinda disappointed....but it was the fastest dang track i'd ever seen though, but racing stank....so beware what ya wish for on them heavy tracks...some are good and some are not so good...but tri state is...

Kloos' tires were found to be ILLEGAL!!!!

That guy should give classes on how to prepare a racing surface on dirt. I have never seen a show there that had a dried up slick top to bottom track. Considering the temps and amount of cars and they still had a racy track. Take note track promoters!!

What does that have to do with latemodel tires? I know the thread was originally started over a Wissota tire. But I believe LM tires can be grooved and siped only. That is how it was anyway.

Dean, This bonehead does not have any ethics toward the sport. All he sees is dollar signs. Blow smoke up somebody elses ***** bleedblue. You are promoting cheating under the guise of trying to save them money. Bleed blue you are an unscrupulous unethical operator. You are a drug dealer to the...

But it is still "CHEATING". Why can't you people understand that?? We are not talking about Kart racing. Dirt tires will feather over and you will lose the biting edges. If they ran slicks on a DLM yeah that would work I guess. It is obvious who is invloved with the people running this crap.

There is a ton of money being spent by people that think they are not up to snuff competition wise because of this crap in a bottle. Now how is it saving racers money?? If I feel that I am not winning and I want to stay within the rules, I am going to try to find something that will help me go...

Kloos' tires were found to be ILLEGAL!!!!

Seems like a simple process to me. Have a new Hoosier LM tire as a baseline. If the suspect tire does not come back the same as the baseline then it has been altered. What is so hard to comprehend about that?? Oh that's right.. he must have drove on the track with somebody else's contaminated...

    Michael, Michael, Michael Why!

This is all hilarious. A tire prep seller is defending a now known cheater. The cheater will be left out to dry from the person that told him that it was "undetectable". Deny, Deny, Deny. This guy should run for public office. Now everyone that runs at that track are cheating. LOL Priceless.

    Dennis Erb

There were big names running them until they got left behind. There was a time not too long ago at Eldora that you almost had to be in a Rayburn to be in contention. Those days are gone. Erb was decent in a Rayburn for a long time but he felt it was better to move on to something more up to...

    Dennis Erb

When was the last time a Rayburn won a major race??? Yet alone with any consistency. Rayburns are dinosaurs in the DLM world. If it is not a heavy hooked down cushioned track they are junk. CJ had his day in the sun and now it is somebody else's days to shine. As a driver you need to start...

What ever happened as to why the WoO Sprint cars dont come to Tri-City Speedway anymore?

You may get the big names IF you have a race that does not conflict with their normal schedule. I haven't really payed that much attention to the WoO since late the 90's so I don't really know what dates are open for such big money races. What exactly constitutes a Big Money show to the sprint...

What ever happened as to why the WoO Sprint cars dont come to Tri-City Speedway anymore?

Not if they are commited to a series. Thet only races I have seen that are the exception are the big sprint car races such as Knoxville and Eldora.
