Kloos' tires were found to be ILLEGAL!!!!

Comprehension is the key here, and if you don't want to comprehend what I say then that's the definition of ignorance. The lab is deeming tires "does not meet specs", they are extremely vague on why and how, then it's up to the sanctioning body to determine if they want to deem that tire legal or illegal. A true lab would make that decision based on the results they see. Now we have a situation were the sanctioning bodies can and have picked and chosen which tire they like and which ones they don't, some of which were never altered but still being deemed illegal. I can't make it anymore clear than that.

sounds to me like the big guys didn't like a local guy winning and pocketing the big money. this happens in all types of businesses. i wondering if billy moyer, jr had won the race if they would have looked the other way no matter what. not good for the old boys club to have an outsider win. of course i have an axe to grind as i'm a kloos fan.

If they checked everyone they would all be cheaters they just want to pick on a young kid with talent
So explain Earl Pearson, Bloomquist, and Chris wall all caught with illegal tires this year alone? Picking on someone, no. Seems to me they are exposing cheaters no matter how big your ego and funds are.

I am confused....how is it "picking" on him when it turns out he was illegal. Pretty sure Davenport, Bloomquist, Bart Hartman.......etc. are not just young kids with talent that got busted either. I think its b/s people want to say oh poor (insert driver) he's a good guy, fact is he got caught and inside you cant believe "your "driver the one you bought a shirt, hat, diecast, whatever it is; was the one that disgraced your sport.

I know for a fact that not everybody would be illegal!!! and say Ryan Unzicker or Billy Moyer J.R. was to win they would have checked there tires to!!

I can tell you that no matter what you have read, or heard on this subject. You only know a fraction of the REAL story. There is a whole other side to what everyone is reading. When the Gerstners tell their side of the story (after the apeal process) you might have a totally different opinion about this, and thats all I'm going to say.

Seems like a simple process to me. Have a new Hoosier LM tire as a baseline. If the suspect tire does not come back the same as the baseline then it has been altered. What is so hard to comprehend about that?? Oh that's right.. he must have drove on the track with somebody else's contaminated dirt.LOL

I hope its true......like to hear their side as well.

Racin90 I hope you are not disappointed when its all said and done. 6K team needs to quit trying to lay blame somewhere else and own up to the fact they cheated! Maybe alot of drivers cheat, but in doing so they take the chance of getting caught and need to pay the piper. (Just saying)......

LOTS of Summernational drivers ARE NOT cheating with chemicals on their tires.
Tires have been punched for years and checked at the track -- it doesn't matter who you are.

Send samples to Quantico,VA. If the FBI Lab can't detect it, then I'll believe what B-B says. I'm just saying........;)

yes because having you believe it is really what he is after? I really dont think bleedblue really cares what you, I or anyone else really thinks, and honestly he shouldnt. Im just saying........ :) This thread is about Kloos cheating and you people are waving your pitchforks and torches at bleedblue,

While i dont understand the exact science/method of testing..... I can see how said tire may get contaminated. Oil, fuel, brake fluid, rearend lube, WD-40, any of these could be spilled, oversprayed, or otherwise make it onto a tire and hence, change its DNA. Not to mention when a tire hits the track... It is then exposed to every spot an engine has laid oil down, during the last few weeks or months. Not to mention, cross contamination from treated tires that have run on that track...Even if these horror stories of crooked labs arent true....... You still have the elements to deal with.

You would have to test way more than one tire to baseline any test results. That may indeed be the problem with the testing in the first place. You would have to test several to try to quantify the consistency of Hoosier's manufacturing process. And from my past experiences working on race cars (albeit mostly with McCreary/American Racer tires) this isn't always that consistent. They varied based on year made sometimes time of year made. We had some McCreary 82-8 softs that lasted for years in heat races and then newer ones that would wear out in a single tacky heat race.

Im sure the baseline would come straight from Hoosier, they know better then anyone what is in the compound.

this just makes you wonder how many other local guys are doing this.specially for the smaller to mid range shows where ump might not be so quick to test since it does cost money.case in point a few weeks ago i did see a driver wont mention any names...almost lap an entire race field of some of the bigger names in the sport of which the track is almost their home track and they always run good there.just seems kinda odd glad they caught kloos though.but it dont take away all the other purses hes won at the track already this year.

first of all why is bleed blue catching grief for this. It's not his tires and evev if it was, he is just a business guy making money. If kloos was caught with illegal fuel or an illegal head for instance would you guys blame the person who made that product....NO....no one made kloos buy these tires....he is a grown man who made his own decision. And as far as the lab test...all it is is a comparitive test. If ANYTHING got on the tires it could be deemed illegal. If he rolled through gas, oil, wd40 ....ANYTHING he could be deemed illegal. There are way to many people that aren't real sure what they are talking about. Also you people who say "lets go back to the old days"....get real...cheatting has been around since racing started and will never go away. Racing is about pushing the limits and finding the gray areas

Dirtfan if you are referring to the night at Pevely when bshepp lapped up to like 4th place... I cannot say whether the tires were legal or not because I don't have a clue, But I do know he and one other driver were on soft tires that night. The other car Ryan Unzicker who started at the back and ran in the top 3. Majority of the field was on hard tires that night. So to assume the win came with the help of cheating is jumping the gun. If that is the race in which you were referring to
