Kloos' tires were found to be ILLEGAL!!!!

you complain that you haven't heard a peep from the "guilty party," referring to Kloos/Gerstner. I simply stated that we also haven't heard a peep from UMP. don't know what "my own medicine" is referring to.

I'm not complaining. I could care less what they have to say. The point I was making is: "If I were falsely accused, convicted and sentenced, I would be raising 7 kinds of hell long before now."

As for the "your own medicine" statement. You asked us "how it looks that UMP hasn't issued a statement" and obviously want us to villify and jump to conclusions about UMP. All the while telling us we shouldn't do the same with Kloos? Your living by a double standard there bud.

So your saying UMP should post on here what happen and what the findings are or am I misunderstanding your point of view here racingfan03? Because actually if I understand this to be true and correct neither one of the parties involved has to put a damn thing on the internet for us to feed off of. Did they cheat? Who knows? Who cares? Thats why it is between both of them and I can bet you a new crisp dollar Bill that neither one of them is going to get on here and post every comment they have about this issue and I do not blame them one bit. Hell no one has said anything about my traction control device hahahahahahahahahahah JUST KIDDING EVERYONE I DO NOT HAVE ONE. I loaned it to Kingeddy. :)

Most of the time.........its kept between the 2 parties and no major announcement is made. Now if it was a scott bloomquist.....well maybe a different deal. But usually if something happens to you at a racetrack...........no announcement is made. You either get a phone call......letter in the mail......or they pay you a lil visit and tell you person to person. Really........thats the way things should be handled.

He got to race at TCS.I'm still a "Tornado" fan.....This whole tire deal is very confusing, too much gray area concerning the Lab testing and/or the infamous sniffer!!!!!!

Lucas Oil Series sanctioned this weekends events it was not UMP. Nothing to be confused about. There either are or are not substances on your tires that are not supposed to be there. How the sanctioning body determines that is up to them and the methods they choose to use should not be debatable.

If your confused about when they use the sniffer and when they lab test; Its been spotty and random, but the M.O. has pretty much been to use the sniffer at the track to check the entire field and to pull samples (for lab testing) upon any suspicious readings. They have also been collectings samples (for lab testing) ranging anywhere from the winner thru the top 5.

This is just what I have seen being done, anyone who has more accurate info on the process, feel free to correct me.

Its actually a pretty simple process. The sniffer does the detecting and the lab breaks down each chemical and how much of the chemical is in the sample.

King Eddy you are correct.

The key to helping crack down on this tire soaking stuff is having the promoters step up and take samples and send them in for testing. UMP cannot be at every track every night, therefore the promoters should conduct taking their own samples at times. It would definately help.

I am glad to hear Mr. Kloos was suspended, however I do not think 2 months will be enought to detour other drivers from participating in the ring of illegal tire usage.

At this point, Mr Kloos should apologize to his fan that PAY to see him race.

The sniffer can only pick up on parts per million VOC content. If the prep doesn't put out VOC, then it will not be picked up by a sniffer. Usually those same products that don't put out VOC are the same ones that don't drop durometer, so that also rules out durometer. The products getting picked up by any type of trackside testing are heavy solvent based preps and sometimes can be dangerous.

I would elaborate more into the lab testing but I'm not allowed to anymore. I will say that there is a prep being tested as we speak and it's 75% water, that speaks to how good we are getting at what we do.

But its still against the rules. That wont be changed.......so why dont you quit doing it...stick to siping and helping out that way? We dont get it.

All these race teams getting up on their high horses who have previously been fined/suspended/caught cheating/are cheating/etc etc. What goes around, comes around.

The only teams I have seen mentioned and/or posting on this thread who have ever been fined, suspended, or caught cheating is Kloos.

This is a road we should NOT go down, heck if you allow this you might as well let in TC and maybe onboard computers and driver adjustable suspension. If you think DLM's are struggling now, this would absolutely kill it as well as getting unwanted attention from the EPA, The Government and the "Green Freaks". Your kidding yourselves if you think this will provide better racing by providing more grip, because if everybody does it then they'll all be the same speed. They have too much grip as it is now. No thanks.

Your on that forum as well. Seems there are people there that TOTALLY get why the rule is there............its not about running you out of business or making drivers buy more tires. I still think an all A rule would be great.
