06/05/09: Buechting Racing claims 3 of the top 5 Pro-4 finishers at I-55

Keeping Fred-Rubble out of post

I guess if she wants you not to bring Fred-rubble raceway into this post, then we can move down to Fredrock forum and post how the Beastings paid $100 so their kids could bash up another driver's car, spin him out and then get their spot back in the feature. Sounds like a well spent $100 on their part. So if she doesn't want Fred-Rubble brought into the Beasting's thread I guess we could talk about this on Fredrock forum. Then maybe that will make her happy. Yabba Dabba Do!!!

bring the fullblown miny stock to malden

hey little 302 i know you are friends with my car owner but i have to say if you want to see what pro 4 vs mini stock does come to malden you will see their full on mini stocks against a second rate pro 4 and possabily against one of the cars in question. but the best carb is never as tuned as computer controled fuel injection. and for a cheap shot at pevely but i have seen some mini stocks in the field or at least camed out mustangs cough cough jake.

NO!!! Thats not poor sportsmanship!!! Its proper subjection to RULES!!! The rules are plain, if they we'rent I would be running a fullblown mini in that class... BUT.... The rules state...stock motor...If it doesnt state factory wiring harness and computer it should... Cause one that has been reworked by Fastchips isnt.....I am only on the first page reading this post, and have already seen severe stupidity, like" thats poor sportsmanship", do you race? If so It cant have been for long. Because you would know that RULES, (theres that word again) are in place for a reason... If someone is in violation they are punished, or they sit out a few nights. The CLAIM RULE: is there to keep people honest, and from putting a ton of money into supposedly "stock cars", Im going to pick on Mark Todd here because I can..and I dont think he will mind.. You have a man who has won championships in higher classes, running a stock class, and doing well.. As he should.. Mark does not own his car, but probably knows every part in it.. It out pulls every other stock Cavalier out there thats not driver skill, thats pure power.. His owner stated. HONESTLY I might add, that certain things have been "modified. Not his exact words... Back to Mark..hes smooth in the corners, knows his way around a track, and can make a car drift. All points to being fast. But stock??? And some of you may be uneducated as to the rules..... thats understandable... They are available on the website... READ THEM.... And ask your self...1.) Did these 4 people not let their cars be claimed because they were in fact NOT legal???? Or did they refuse because, 2.) Was it all the hard work and too many $$$$ they put in their cars, KNOWING IT COULD BE CLAIMED at any time? YOU SEE.. that is a rule... CAUTION... This could happen to you!!! Whether your name is Todd, Fischer, Buechting, or Billy Joe Jim Bob...If you dont like it... be legal, abide by the rules, or move up, and quit ur cryin!!! Jason Brewington, Fredericktown Mo.. P.S. Keep in mind... These comments are not directed at ANYONE except the people whining like 5 year olds, an d they probably arent even the 3 racers themselves, but mere armchair bandits!!

Finally somebody else gets it!!!!!!!

Obviously you haven't read this entire post or been following. The CLAIM rule is available in the modifieds, but they DON'T USE IT! So, you're saying the guys who were claimed for sure just aren't legal. You have NO IDEA! Why would they take that little of money when they have more into it? Would you take a financial loss? Not if you were smart. Not only that, then you have to start all over again, and for TRUE racers, they don't want to miss a night of racing. They're going to head to another race track to continue what they love to do. So, say they are legal, they do abide by the rules, etc....the Beestings just wanted to move them out of their way? Now what? I think you should quit whinging like a 3 year old! By the way, I have raced for over 10 years. The rules are there, but use them for their intention. Claim 1 car if you feel strongly, but 3? You need to get a clue, there's more going on here.

Call me crazy but didnt one of the claimed cars admit to making a computer alteration to his car in his post.

Rule #1 says car must be totally stock unless stated below. Im pretty sure that making that change is not listed below so they are cheaters. Along with probably the other claimed cars and the people who claimed them.

I will never like this class because it is a lie. I dont blame yall for cheating though everybody else does right. I feel bad for all the people who do show up legal and never have a chance. I guess it is just all driving skill huh?

WHat those people are doing is not proper though buying your way into the points race is crap. So round up some money and do the same to them. This is a terrible rule find another way take the money and pay someone to tech the car and give the rest to charity or the points purse or the fastest legal car on the track.

I've already stated that I'm not a fan of claiming cars, so I don't support this act, although I'm sort of friends with all involved. I've heard lots of people say that simply because these cars run up front and win races they are automatically cheaters. The one thing I haven't heard is although some of these cars ARE faster that their competitors, They were also faster cars from the factory. Go build a YUGO to race and see where you finish. My car (Shadow) has 109 HP from the factory, a Cavalier is around 130 HP from the factory, a NEON has close to 150 HP from the factory!!! FYI, a 1988 Porsche 924S has 198 HP from the the factory and is a SOHC 4cyl., and it is totally stock and legal to build as a race car (someone should build one, you can buy a good running car for about $1000). Why hasn't anyone mentioned that maybe these cars are simply a better choice of race cars to start with. Add to that excellent driving skills and knowledge on the track and you have a winning combination. JMO......."FREE. THE FISH"

You make some very good points... But you better check your hp ratings because many sites say you are incorrect. Also note that a SOHC Neon has 16 valves which is the same as a DOHC car.

Racinfri has a point. Maybe the Buechtings are only trying to keep the class honest. And I don't see them running off with the races. In fact, there's at least one other car that didn't get claimed that seems to be beating them. My point earlier about Chris swapping was only to prove that if Chris can drive and all cars are suppose to be equal...take all pro 4 drivers and put them all in different cars. Then we'll see who is the good drivers and what cars are beefed up.
If the buechtins were trying to *keep it honest* then why buy track champ cars ? WTF are you stooooopid! F***EM

buying champ cars

Maybe they have come to realize that the champ cars that they are buying are not in the same condition ( setups, etc.) as they were with the previous owner. I can't say for sure, just speculating. I know if I were going to race in the same class with a new car, I sure wouldn't leave my secrets and setups on the car that I will be competing with. I'm sure that the previous owners won't admit that but It would be kinda silly, whether your secrets are legal or not. Something to think about, ( Griffaw can drive, Griffaw can set up a car, Griffaw didnt win that night. One of the best in the business.) Who's cheating and who isn't?

They knew what was in the car and Chris didn't take anything off, he was moving up to a modified. It's not like anything used on that car would work in the mod. Oh and add to the list another fast car they bought up. Looks like Potato Head was in the 93 car that was sold this week that is 5th in points at I-55.

hey crash9 if you have a problem on what i do grow a set of nuts and talk to me face to face before you bash me on here another person who likes to stir up s**t before they get the hole story so run your mouth some more so pm me for the phone number so we can get this out of the way now billy lapaglia

the rules say "Any car or truck with a single cam 4 cylinder engine may be run. Must be completely stock as manufactured, engine, drive train, suspension and fuel system, except as noted below. No Turbos. No Rear or Mid Engine Vehicles" ok tell me how a flashed computer is altered still the same board, wires and housing is it not. that is how it was made looks the same too me.
here is another rule in the book that is broken by some cars hell if we kick cars off the track with a stock computer reprogramed then any one with a removable steering wheel has to be banned as well " All glass, mirrors, body molding and trim must be removed. All insulation and any other combustible material must be removed. Steering and pedals must remain stock. Dash may be modified for roll cage clearance."
or any one that has cut a round out of any of their springs has to be banned as well due to rule one.

i don't see how allied can enforce their claim rules and not the rest of the rule book. how do they have a leg to stand on when enforcing the suspension on the 3 when they don't even look at the cars to make sure any of them are running their rules??? selective enforcement i guess.

I do not want to get in the middle of this. Billy and I met at Pevely this year and got along good, we both had the same year and make of car. I put my car up for sale on this site and I called him and told him I was going to get out of the pro-4 class to move up to a street stock, so he told me he would buy my car. He was the first one with the money.

Also I respect him a lot because he really did not want me to sell it he wanted me to stay there and finish the year out. He told me if I ever wanted the car back to just let him know and he would sell it back to me for the same price, and I appreciate that very much. Good luck Billy

Hey man, if someone wants to buy a car that is for sale, that is their right. It's called capitalism my friend.

The debate is about trying to buy cars that aren't for sale, not ones that are for sale. Let's try to stay on point here.

Just pointing something out. I was not attacking anyone especially you Brian. You was just selling and they had the money. I would have too. I have no comment for potato head, but thats two people he wants to meet and knock their face in. He sounds like an awesome internet fighter though.

BTW, Potato Head bought the car outright. Not the Buechtings.

I'm not at all on the Buechting's side, but in order to have a fair and productive debate we must have accurate facts.
