06/05/09: Buechting Racing claims 3 of the top 5 Pro-4 finishers at I-55

I have raced against Fish and Buechting and they both have helped me out, i myself made a claim in 06 and felt like a real turd. And as far as being stock 4 cylinders when did they come out with a pozzy ? Since everyone changed their name, so did i.

If thats true Einstein why didn't he just do it last year? His boy was 2nd last year all he would have had to do was claim the #10 car. Would have been a lot cheaper, and there's no gaurantee the #16 is going to win the championship this year. He's not doing as well as last year.

This class is policed by the drivers themselves. I heard the techman say that himself earlier this season. I applaud the Buectings for having the nerve to try and keep the class on a level playing field. They didn't do anything illegal.

Like was mentioned earlier about UMP mods. Their engine cost are out of control due to nobody using the claim for what its purpose is. Did you know that they also have a $50 shock claim that nobody uses, because that would be just ignorant in most opinions. But then again, thats why you have mods running around with $1000 worth of shocks on the car and another $1000 or 2 in their trailer.

I am in no way related to or affliated with the Buecting family. But, they are being bashed for doing what all you others don't have the balls to do!!!!!
 
Balls is not the issue. I think if you are getting beat, step up your program. If you are still getting beat after that, it just wasnt ment to be.
 
Man it used to be one happy family along the row of pro 4. I met some awsome people and now this **** happens, who can you trust ?

I'm generally fiends with pretty much everyone at the track including the "B" Team and all the claimed drivers, I just don't believe in claiming your competors. I don't think it takes "BALLS" to make a claim. I don't think RACERS make claims. I'd love to claim the #16 car, but in my opinion, that's dirty pool. I will tell you this though, I believe in an eye for an eye. If I got claimed, I'd claim em right back. The right way to race in any class is to beat em on the track and maybe ask them for some advice, most of us like the stiff competition. Including the claimed drivers!!! JMO...."FREE THE FISH"

I believe darren's claim on legality

i was talking to justin tonight about some of the rules at malden which is were he is thiking about racing friday due to his suspention. They have told each and everyone how to beat them now it is just up to yall to go and do it. If i raced at pevely with you all i know now that i would take their advise.
 
Let me say that we (the Fisher family) in no way, shape or form endorse rough driving especially as a form of retaliation. That’s what gets people hurt and possibly killed. Cheap shots are just that……cheap shots. And trust me we have all seen a few of those on the track through the years and some pretty recently in this class. When I read Blake Jost’s father’s post I totally clicked with the “unspoken fear” he had for his own son should things get “rough” and he were to get caught up in it (post #93). I know that Chris has more skill and integrity than to stoop that low as do most of these drivers he races against each and every week.

Is Chris down? Yes, for now. Is he out? Absolutely not! We’ll visit a few UMP sanctioned Friday night tracks over the next few weeks to keep the UMP points coming in and then return to Pevely on 7/11. As Gary Range stated in another thread Chris was not vying for Pevely points. He was getting ready to drop down to the bottom of the list in a couple of weeks anyway. He set a goal for himself at the beginning of the year to finish high in the UMP National points and has been working toward that goal alone.

He has chosen not to reply to this thread to avoid getting in to a mud slinging contest (no pun intended there). Me, his mom, on the other hand wasn’t as smart – see post #87 of this thread. Mothers tend to get pretty defensive when they feel their child has been insulted, hurt or threatened. Am I sorry I posted those remarks? No. Should I have thought them through a little better before submitting my reply? Yes. I also felt the Pro-4 drivers in general, including the Buechtings, had been wronged by being called a stupid little class.

As I have said in many other posts, Chris works hard – very, very hard at racing as most of you do. He has loved this sport his entire life and is living out his dream the best way that he can. All you have to do is watch him wheel that car around the track and you know that he and that car are one for a short while (those of you that have that same passion you know what I’m talking about – right JC?). I send a heartfelt “thank you” to those of you who have been there with him and for him through the years and especially now. We’ll see you all Saturday night!


By the way, "Free the Fish!" has become a household slogan around our place :D

Man has this class changed since i raced in it! Setups?? Hell my setup was making sure i had gas, checking toe and going over bolts! i had less than 300 in the car, including getting the car, putting a cage in it and lettering. It seems its just gotten completely out of hand these days!

I care about them. I consider them to be just as competitive class as the sportsman and modifieds. Those guys (and girls) are out there racing to win, at times 4 and 5 wide. They provide good entertainment, for me, at least. I don't go to the bathroom or get food during their races.

Depending on how things turn out moneywise, maybe I'll be in one next year!! ;)

I wonder....is a Mazda RX-7 legal (rear drive, less than 4 cylinders.....kinda :p)?

I seem to remember everyone crying when the #21 Heinrick was kicking their butt a few years ago. Then when Conrad was kicking butt, everyone was crying about his car. A couple cars out there this year would run circles around the #21 & Conrad. The claim was put in there to make it self policing, don't blame anyone for excercising the rule. As for buying a championship, look at the point standings Jake could win the next 4 nites and still would not be leading.


Simple solution if you don't want to be claimed, set a pace where your not blowing past the entire field in 4 laps.
 
Tell that to Kyle Busch He is not cheating and has not been caught just a better driver now as far as fish he stepped up he drove the modifieds and thats what made hime a better driver his cars not beating you it his driving skills that are beating you...I don't watch pro 4s or even know any of the drivers I have never talked to fisher but I watched him in the modified and the boy can just drive If you all get in a pissing match their won't be pro4s at pevely though I can tell you that much so you all should think about the severity of the games you are playing jmo...
 
I'm by no means a Pevely regular, but I had to see what all this fuss was about...and I feel like I lost brain cells equivelant to those lost in a week-long alcohol bender.

you all know the rules(at least should) before you build one of these cars...so why are you so shocked when this happens when you know going in that it very well could?


I'll never enjoy this class until they're torn down completely. and I think it should be done to every car before they're allowed to race for the season, and then done randomly all year. you all talk about how drivers in every class eventually figure out little things to do to win...that wasn't the point with this class. until they can be completely torn down with computers and everything, I'll still hold my doubts about the top racers in this class.
