08-09 Blues thread

The Ducks are doing pretty good this year. It will be a hard game for the Blues but I hope they can win! Good luck Blues!

Looks like the Blues spent too much on Mason, he looked like crap again last night. Kariya went out in the second period with a wrist injury. The good news is that Legace could be back Saturday. The Blues take on a tough Sharks team tonight in San Jose. Game time 9:30 on FSN. If Bishop is feeling better, I'd start him in goal tonight. Mason can't stop a beach ball.

Now I see why Nashville let him go. He runs hot and cold..always has. I would like to see Bishop get the start as well. It's a little disappointing to see them struggle like this after the good start we had. I have to lay a lot of the blame on Murray, I don't dislike him totally but he is a mediocre coach at best. There is enough talent on this team to win even with Mason in goal. Not playing a full 60 minutes or even being prepared to play is the coaches fault.

I only saw 3 goals against before I went to bed. The 1 they stuffed in on the post was pretty sad. He did make some good save's but he wasn't consistent. The 2nd 1 that went over his shoulder and in the corner would have been tough for anyone. At the rate the injuries are getting us we won't have anyone left at the end of November. Not looking real good right now, don't think you could have forseen all these injuries

I agree King, I didn't like it when they announced Murray as the coach in the first place, his record with the King's proved he couldn't get the job done. I keep giving him 2nd,3rd ,4th chances but evidently he's not a very good motivator. I say if they're not at least 10 games over 500 at midseason he has to go.

Im not sure if Mason is cut out to be a backup he seems like he needs regular work to be effective which isnt going to happen with Manny around.I hope they get something rolling this road trip cause they starting to lose that early season excitement they created.

I say if the Blues fall three games under .500, they're in big trouble. Not getting off to a good start at home can doom this team before Thanksgiving. I hope I'm wrong. I'm kind of so-so with Murrays coaching. Seem's to me he could chew a little more on the veteran guys asz's to get them going.

Good news for tonight............kind of. Bishop is suppose to get the start in goal. At least we have a chance now. Bad news.........Kariya might have a fractured ankle. And the injuries keep piling up.

The referees $ucked. They called nothing for 48 minutes and tried to make up for it in the last 12. That was an acceptable effort against one of the better teams.

I wanna see that effort against LA on Sat there is no reason to not win that game.We seen this effort buy the Blues in certain games only to come out the next game and play poorly.GO BLUES!!!!!

Didn't see the game last night...but judging from the box scores I would think they gave another poor effort in the first and second.

Time to send Murray packing?????? I think so.

Good news though regarding Kariya. Should be back Wed. according to nhl.com

This team seems pretty uninspired. The only thing that seems to get them going is when they start getting embarrassed by the score. At this rate this team will be irrelevant by the end of November.I think we are starting to see the real Andy Murray coached team show up.He was good at organizing this team when they were in complete disarray but now that JD and company have brought some stability to the organization he seems to have lost his touch.

yeah I did just getting soft I'd really like toseethe bues get farther in the playoff really I do maybe this year they will

aah! That was very sweet of you Hound! Even though I am a big Stars fan I do cheer on the Blues when they don't play the Stars and I would like to see the Blues make the play-offs also!:)

The Kings goalie was unbelievable in the first 2 periods. We had some chances that I couldn't believe didn't go in. In the 3rd once we scored he kinda started crumbling, we needed one of those in the first 2 periods. The officiating didn't help our cause either, some of the calls that led to goals against were really questionable, especially the 1 on Brewer.

Five loses in a row and things are looking bleak. I don't know if firing Murray would be the answer but something needs to happen soon if they really want to make the playoffs. Seems like when Oshie went down, things fell apart.
