A few words from Nick Lyons

As to the statements that are put on here they are here say, they are NOT affidavits. Just like me typing this right now is there anyway to verify without a doubt that I'm not using someone else's computer set to automatically log in?

If that is the case that someone has logged on as someone else and, unknowing to the user, is putting these accusations up to try to harm that person or others, wouldn't a simple explanation to jdearing, by the user, get those posts deleted if he/she finds them, did not write them and it's causing this much turmoil, especially when the court system is involved? You can't tell me that the drivers or anyone involved in this series don't read the threads almost daily. I was just pointing out that these posts could easily be brought up in court. As far as proving them, that would be up to the lawyers.

Not to mention the neat little "edit/delete" button in the bottom right corner of your posts.

I just hate to see something this serious on the threads. Racing is supposed to be fun and of course there will be little wars because when things happen so fast, it's hard to see or know what really happened. I know I jump to conclusions at times and I've been wrong. I just hate to see any of the innocent parties, whoever that may be, hurt in this because people run their mouths.

I'm sorry if you thought my post was directed at you it was general statement. I was just trying to make the point that anything posted should not always be attributed to the any perticular person even if they put there name on the post. It's just to easy too make up a new screen. Like you said it's for the lawyers to sort out but, it would be useless to bring in something from a website unless you have someway to verify it.

Any time you post on this site, you are publishing. Now, the chances of any of this ever being used is probably pretty slim, but when people come on here and start saying stuff about other people, ie making accusations that they are not being truthful etc about where money from raffles went, etc, or even insinuating such things, well. Wouldn't want to be them when their words come home to roost. Especially when the responses they are getting from the people they accuse amount to "the finances we can account for are an open book for anyone with an interest to come and inspect for themselves."

My 2 Cents.

I just got back from the garage, and there was a big stapled packet of papers that were printed from this forum, so I decided to take a look. Nick's post was absolutely great. It was exactly what everyone needed to hear, and I now have more respect for him than ever. My view on this (because that IS what forums are for), has totally changed since the beginning of the racing season in 2007. The first race I seen Nick race was against my dad at Mount Vernon, I believe in 2006 (not 100% sure) We always did pretty good at this track, and seeing a new driver, I was a little curious as to of how the night would go. I don't exactly remember how he did that night, but I do remember he got a top 3, and I thought he was pretty dang good. Then from the start of the 07 racing season, he would always finish good, and I WAS exceptionally jealous, so I used the excuse to myself that he was cheating, without me knowing absolutely anything behind it except that he was really friggin' good, and I was very jealous that he beat us. Then the more and more you watch him race, there is no cheating about it in my OPINION. I will never forget the night my dad beat him for the win at Tri-City. I knew then that he couldn't of been cheating. He is an extremely nice guy, he even came over, congratulated us and simply stated it was a hard race, and he just couldn't get around us. He obviously 99% of the time has the car hooked. Him and the 2x crew got their heads on straight at the whole set-up deal, and that I seen from week to week. The man flat friggin' drives the "pants" off the car. He puts that thing in the corners harder than most I have seen, and he is pretty dang good at it. He has been proven legal a NUMBER of times, and one would think your mind would swing a little like mine did. It's only common sense. The 10 grand? No one knows where it went until the truth FINALLY comes out (hopefully after the suit). Personally, I believe Nick, as well as all the other drivers who supported the series, has all the right in the world to get what they drove their butts off for. The 2x crew worked their tails off in the pits every weekend to do the best they could, as well as everyone else. Nick does have a valid point, he has been outran, just as much as he outran us all. How come others don't get pinned a blame of cheating, etc. when they win consecutively. Shannon Babb won 13 Summernational wins in 06, 15 in 05, and proven legal, so what is wrong with Nick having more wins under his belt this year than quite a few of us? How does that make him illegal? This post was absolutely NOT pinning anything on anyone. Nor was it stereotypical, rude, or finger-pointing, I was clearly just putting my 2 cents in as well as many of other folks. Nick is an awesome guy to be around in the pits, and I'm sure many others think so, too.

Your championship was well deserved, and I can not wait to see you on the track (if we ever get everything ready lol) this year.
The best of luck to you, duck, and every crate driver that is going to compete this year in 2008.
See you all at the track,
Kelcie.

Hey Crate Pilot

Hey Crate Pilot ,
Its now time for you to get on here and post your real name now that your identity is known........which one bit doesnt surprise us of who you really are.
Hmmmmm......I would call this harrassment, wouldnt you not? But then again that is your style.
I would think you ought to be somewhat embarrassed. It just goes to show one what type of person you really are and I dont think I need to explain that.
Terri Lyons
