Re-read the post...If you read correctly, it said it is JUST AS MUCH the tracks fault as it is the person re-using the armband. Change up the colors every week and there would be no room for anyone to do these things. That is all that it said, there was nothing said about it being okay to "steal". Your analogy was not very good . Car vs. pit pass...nothing close to being the same!

It has nothing to do with the track being at fault. If people were honest then it wouldnt happen. If this was reversed and you left your keys in your car and i took it, is it your fault because i took it.By the way, i dont know you and i wouldnt steal your car, or anyones, but just making a point.

As I read the various threads on this site I see that folks think that the scores at MCS are blind, that there are favorites at Highland, that TCS officials make bad calls, etc. Be honest, no matter what the call is, someone won't like it. Consistency works if you like the call, it doesn't if you don't.

What concerns me though is not who's right or wrong about the call, but the affect the comments made here has on Belle Clair Speedway. It's unfortunate because they tend to overshadow some of the best racing at Belle Clair in years.

We've lost several tracks this year and I sure don't want to see us lose anymore.

TTG/MM

P.S. - Maybe we needed a rainout or two.

I believe the only comments made on this thread that will affect Belle-Clair Speedway, are the ones that the official made. Those are by far the rudest & most bogus replies on here. Allied is only hurting theirselves making remarks like those.

Belleville could help itself, by placing spoters on the roof of the grandstand and giving them the authority to make the judgement calls.

Allied does a good job of running the race program they just can't seperate personal feeling from their professional duties.

7H that is a major problem. It has been posted before though that it is difficult to get officials period. Anyone can apply to be an official, no one does. TriCity had problems getting officials to work.

The people that do become officials are usually race fans first. Many fans are attached to one driver or another. Finding unattached officials may require the facility to go outside the racing community for officials. When they do hire these people not many would stay long. Watch how most officials are treated if a call is made.

Then, how do you train these people to be an official. Baseball has UMP school, Football officials are trained and most hockey refs get training:D . As far as I know there is no training program for officials.

Everyone wants to bash "this" official and "that" official but none step up try to do the job! It is not a volunteer job, they are paid.

I would love the job at Tri City... have experience and references, where do i apply? PM me if you know.

armygirl = would give a woodpecker a headache... shut your yapper already sheesh.

I have no comment on Allied, Belleville, anything to do with what is being discussed on this thread, because I really have no idea what happened, didn't happen, who said what to whom or when. My comments are just about what I see in general.

There was a time when websites didn't exist, and people may have talked among themselves during the week and maybe even called each other up and had a heated conversation or two, cleared the air, and moved on. Or made sure they talked to a particular person the next time they were at the track to get things sorted out.

Maybe it's time that any thread that brings up any controversy, starts an argument, makes an accusation, criticizes anything be deleted immediately. Just have a blanket rule, if any hint of argument starts, any bashing, any negative comment toward any individual, sanction, track, etc., the thread is deleted.

One rule for everyone; no criticism of anything, no arguments, no settling of scores on stlracing. You got a problem? Don't use this place to make it a public issue; deal with it yourself, with the people you have a problem with, instead of broadcasting it all over this site for the whole world to read.

Personally, I would delete this thread just based on the title. "Another Allied "Golden Shower." The title itself is offensive and crude. I don't think anyone over the age of 15 doesn't get the inference there. Yet this has been allowed to populate the front page of the discussion forums for how many days?

Nothing good has come from this thread. Not a single thing. If anything, it has stirred people up even more, and created more ill will and bad feelings between racers, crew, officials, and fans. It has solved nothing, contributed nothing. Nothing on it has even been amusing; nothing has been even remotely informative or beneficial to the racing community. All it has been is one big hate filled read, and honestly, I haven't read all of it, just a good sampling before posting this.

If the people involved can't stop themselves from hurling abuse at one another on this site, making personal attacks, dragging each other through the mud, bringing up past events to damage each other, then maybe somebody else needs to do it for them.

Wouldn't that be in the best interests of us all?

Lighten up Francis

Which perfect world do you live in? The nature of racing is always competitive and occasionally that breeds controversy. Yes there are certain people on here that are annoying, but those people are easily recognized for what they are. What you are proposing is to go back to the 70's or earlier which is probably not going to happen any time soon.

I do agree that vulgarity is not needed simply because there are other words that can be substituted while still addressing any issue. I have been guilty of this (which is not a good thing), but I am trying to clean my act up. I do not agree with a broad brushed censorship of anything controversial... if you dont like it, dont read it. Atleast that's what I do. If it has to do with racing, it belongs here... whether it's good, bad, or ugly.

I learn alot from this site about places that I do not attend very often, but I do not pass judgement until I experience it for myself. In that sense I believe I am in the majority.

Rambling once again... I know lol.

Have fun at the races this weekend, not many more enjoyable weekends before the end of the season.

Oh yeah and t.nie, I do respect the fact that you are entitled to your opinion... I just don't agree with it totally. Don't take my statement as anything too personal, it wasn't meant that way.

You know TNIE, youre right, lets go back to the days when racing disputes were solved after the races were over with sledge hammers and guns. Now we're talkin. Lets stop trying to solve problems through 'physically harmless' internet discussions and go back to the days when sledge hammers were going through car doors and guns in the pits were used to 'sort' problems out.

If you don't like the way Jimmy runs this website, start your own & have your 'blanket rule.' (HA) If anything, this thread is not hurting this website any, it is helping it. Look how many times this thing has been viewed. I actually get on here to read this, it's pretty interesting & hilarious at times.

OK, I'm going to finally close this thread primarily because it has gotten a little too out of hand. But I will say, I agree with the original content of this post in that in all of my years of going to racing, that was one of the worst non-calls I've seen at a track. Especially since in the heat race right before that one, they put the car to the back for spinning another one.
