This is true. You don't have to support them any more. We have not even had a week of racing with the new arrangements so this is all a little premature. See what the weekend brings before everyone gets all bent out of shape. They did not take the sanctioning away from CCS you must remember Mt. Vernon supported the CARS series to, and if they felt that they were in danger of having to shut down there track. Why should CARS not support them also. There are enough cars to support both tracks lets just see what happens.

P.S. I think this weekend is a special show so give it a couple weeks I believe it will work out for both tracks. CCS should not be scared of a little friendly competition. If they are really worried about losing car count maybe they should step up there game a little and give the racers and fans something to come back for. Again J.M.O
 
If you are so POed at C.A.R.S. Quit whining and dump the class! You all were whining about the car count and how you had to cut the purse because you were losing money any way. All you are doing now is showing how juvenile you are! Look at the facts and it will become clearer. You had less than ten cars at your last two races, there were crate cars that would rather be field fillers at Highland with the SLM than tow to CCS. Mt Vernon is basically the birth place of C.A.R.S they were the first track run the series. If you honestly believed they would not get sanctioned if they moved to Saturday you are a fool! One other thing... there is a section for results/upcoming events it would be nice if tracks would use it for their promotional ads and not clutter up the discussion section... is anyone else annoyed by this?
 
Every one wants to blame the CARS owners and the drivers. That poor poor track owner!!! Read the replies?? Just because CARS and CCS made an agreement DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE TRACK OWNER WILL PUSH THE DRIVERS AROUND >> Layman's terms>> " I am excited !! Bend over or leave my track!!" The drivers have just a tad to say about this. I don't think CCS gave them the money to build their ride?? I would say that the control was OUT OF SEAN'S HANDS!!! Yeah he made the promise BUT the track owner has to work w/ the drivers also. Sean done the best he could. Give him a pat on the back. But, he cannot force the drivers to go where they are not happy. Now that the drivers have a choice. CCS is POed w/ out the drivers a track has no fans.W/ out the track the drivers have no place to race!! Before Mt. Vernon decided to go Sat. CCS thought they had the drivers by the nads. You either kiss our a z z or you will not race this track!! IT GOES BOTH WAYS!!!!!!!!!!! I think a little track competition ( WHILE WORKING TOGETHER ) helps to keep every one honest.

The answer to the question was given and that is it. Both tracks can run.

I would like to know if there is any rules in C.A.R.S.about only so many tracks can run on one night or do the tracks have to be so many miles apart. If not then a track that has the sanction should be able to run when it wants



As long as they go by c.a.r.s rules.
 
just because id like to know..

when ccs switched sat last year, mtv fought and won ump and ccs didnt. but mtv through in the towel and ccs recieved it. ok why is it ok for mtv to have ump on sat nights when we both couldnt last year?? does anyone know why????

who hasnt paid ccs? because ccs has paid. how many race tracks can run crates on a sat.?? does anyone know. and you tell me to leave it alone, how my supposed to know if i dont ask.
 
I have to admit, the two post above by Extreme and Bolo make the most sense out of all the post I have read on this thread. I echo what they are saying...For Gods sake, quit whinning and drop the class, or be happy that you are still sanctioned, STFU and race.... Go with what you got and be happy, there are only about 6 weeks or so left for this season. Look on the bright side, you may only have to pay 6 CARS finishers for the rest of the year instead of 10, you are saving money already!LOL
(And yes I know, so don't nobody give me a lecture on promoter101)

CARS and Fastrack (i know, its a sin to mention both in the same breath) are a promoters dream. LateModel racing for the fans at a discounted payout for the promoter. If you can't make it work then obviously you have other problems, and evidently there were other problems, because I have read the payout had been cut for previous weeks, and the car count was down.

Heres a grand idea, how about this, go out and work a little, be a promoter, get a sponsor for the next 6 weeks, and offer the drivers bigger purses for the rest of the year and give them a reason to come back. You've proved that you can shoot your mouth and call people names.. now can you promote?

This is already looking good for the drivers, bidding wars each weekend.

bolo, if you spent half of the time that you spend stirrring stuff up, actually helping someone you might become respected a little more. when i quit racing i decided to help richard with the track, instead of being like you and others who want to stir things. issues are trying to be addressed. and your wrong about us blaming the drivers, the drivers didnt make this decision. and i havent been to a track yet that dont mess up calls once in awhile. and ccs aint afraid of competition. as far as me and richard our concerned this issue is done. we will let the drivers decide. have a nice day. tim murphy

I gave my opinion in an earlier post as to how I perceive the CARS organization being ran and to let you see what someone that is an outsider looking in would think of the leadership. It would be a fair statement that that others looking at this situation would also form a simular opinion. Being a car owner I would not consider purchasing a crate at this time with the uncertainty you have placed on the CARS tracks.
After my earlier post you stated that Rick was only one vote. Had he not voted it would have been 2-2. Don't know how CARS deals with a tie vote but just knowing that he voted on an issue that involved a track he owns gives an impression of favortism. Also you did not comment about the getting in free when you have a car racing at that track and you are not there working as a CARS offical. You have a car racing in another class, do you also use the get in the gate free pass when you are not doing offical CARS business? Sam with UMP does not own a race car, so when he is at a track, he is always working. The comparison you gave is mute. These issues look like they need reworked to better serve the CARS tracks so everyone of them are comfortable with being a CARS affiliated track. Last year when the "double points" races became an issue, it was dealt with a decision that was a little slow in the making but was the right one to be made.
 
ROJO If your going to personaly attack someone ba a man and sign your post with your real name! If what the three persons that voted to sanction Mt Vernon are as bad as some of you seem to think maybe the other two should resign in protest if they want to maintain their credibility. I doubt it will happen. Why don't they ask Al to resign? I doubt that will happen either. There are two sides to every story and so far you have only heard one.

I can tell you that I have NEVER gotten into a track that runs CARS for free. Not this year not last year.

And yes I would be happy to resign if asked and might anyway. Sorry you dont like my position on this one but I am not the sole decision maker. I have always voted for what I BELIEVED was best for the racer.
There are a good number of racers who will save gas dollars this week. In addition, this week the competition between tracks is helping the racer. Both are offering special deals or more money to the racers.

I think it pretty much a given that track owners and promoters and Racin Associations ( A.A.R.A. just an example ) allow each other to come and go to their tracks with out making them pay.

Are the people complaining C.A.R.S. members? I would think they are the only ones if anyone is going to complain should be the ones to make the comments negative or positive. :rolleyes:
