Bloomquist saluting everyone at KLMS...

The guy is like the Britney Spears of dirt late model racing NOT QUITE HE'S GOT TALENT AND DON'T SHOW HIS WARES

And I do not think people are saying it is okay. They are saying what is the big deal??? We see worse than that on a daily bases.....
What did he get paid to show up? And it was suppose to be a 20,000 dollar show. Bloomer d/n usually show up for 10,000 and appearanced fee. Sometimes not always... :)

10,000 Friday night rain out.
10,000 Saturday Night d/n make the call
And the Appearance fee Jennifer said he gets $?$?$?
So a possiblity of 20,000 to be had. Plus the show up money he supposedly recieved to show up. So it was a 20,000 to win in a two day show.... :)

come on moonflow!!!!!!! there were over 150 cars in the pits that night......what is the track supposed to do, go around baby-sitting each and every driver???
From what I understand, he did exactly the samething at TCS this year..........what's that tell ya about the bum..............

Let's post the facts again, since you didn't read them the first time:

1. The track, at the driver's meeting, acknowledged that the PA system was not working at the back of the pit area.

2. The track knew where Bloomquist and company were pitted...IN THE BACK.

3. The track stated there would be a 15 minute break between features.

4. The track stated there wouldn't be a lap ran after midnight, due to curfew concerns.

5. The track announced over the PA system that they wouldn't have a break between the races, but failed to inform the 4 drivers that were not in range of a working PA system.

6. At least Bloomquist was at the gate to get on the track BEFORE a single lap was run. From my source, who was at the race, he was there during parade laps. The track officials would not let him on the track.

Add it up, and the track officials and management dropped the ball, and screwed not only the drivers, but the fans too, who had potential to see a fantastic show.

Oh, and I was at the Tri-City show when he didn't come out. He didn't come out because the track was too rough, and he didn't want to tear his car up. Dirt hound and I talked next to John Mason's car until about 2am, just down from Bloomer's hauler.

From www.scottbloomquist.net:

To any fans who were disappointed by my reaction, I apologize. I apologize for the many hours that fans drove expecting to see a full field of late model cars compete. With the many race cars in the late model class, the crate class and the modified class, there was limited infield parking. It was announced at the drivers meeting THAT THE SPEAKERS WERE NOT WORKING IN THE BACK ROW OF THE PIT AREA so management knew that there were four drivers who were likely unaware of all PA announcements. It was also stated at the drivers meeting THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE ONE LAP RAN AFTER 12:00 due to a noise ordinance and THAT THERE WOULD BE A 15 MINUTE INTERMISSION BEFORE THE LATE MODEL FEATURE. With the crate feature ending at 12:05, the 12:00 curfew had been broken giving no reason for an uninformed rushed format. I can understand altering the program, but I can not understand not informing those you have acknowledged can not hear announcements. I'm sorry to say due to lack of consideration by track management for drivers and fans concerning all of the above, I and 3 other drivers have agreed not compete at KLMS until it is under new management.
----------------------------------

Now, if it's true that the PA system wasn't working in the back of the pit area, where Bloomquist usually is, doesn't it seem obvious that the track management had an OBLIGATION to get on a 4-wheeler and go down and personally inform those drivers? After all, the track was aware of the PA system problem. While I don't condone the action, I do see the reasoning.

I was not going to respond as to keep piece in my family but I have to say something.....

First, it is the drivers responsibility to know when to be in staging and what order race events are being held. If the speakers did not work where you were parked then you should have checked things out periodically. Remember when he did not make the race at Eldora a few years ago, it was someone else's fault then too! Hmmm history repeating itself.

Second, I lost every ounce of respect I had for Bloomquist as a person. I will never take away the fact the man can drive and build a great race car. But what he did was completely uncalled for. If he had a problem with Sherri then he should have went to her and not displayed his attitude to the fans, who did nothing to him.

Third, the cars parked across from Scott and his group made it to the track in plenty of time, and if even they did not notice the other late models going to the track, they heard the cars when they were doing the "quick laps before the start", they should have headed to the track. England made it just in time to tag the end of the field and then pulled off on his own. They stalled as long as they could.

Finally, if any other drive I liked had done this, including Jeep, I would have lost all my repect for him too! Scott claims he and his cars will not be back at KLMS but if I was Sherri, Scott would be banned for life from KLMS!

Moonflow,

I am sorry to inform you Bloomquist was not in the staging area during the parade laps I was on top of the ASI Racewear trailer and you could clearly see no cars there! But again the cars across from Bloomquist made it to the track and they were out of PA range too!

See this whole thing is the reason I was not going to post. I was there too, I did not hear or see from another source. Bloomquist flipped everyone off from turn four to turn one!

dirt hound only wishes he was half the man that Bloomquist is!!!
AND YOU WISH YOU WERE HAVE THE WOMAN BRITTANY SPEARS IS RE READ MY MOST I said thatbloomer 's got talent brittnay on the other hand what has she done lately besides acting like a fool

Bloomer

Opinions are like A** Holes everyone has one. Of course the haters are going to say he was flipping the fans off.

I was at KY and am a Bloomer Fan. He was not in the parade lap. There was a yellow after a lap or so and then he came out.

My question to everyone on here - whether you were there or not -

"If the picture had not been posted - did anyone on this thread see him flip anyone off?"

Again, many of the people who are posting on here have voiced and shown their displeasure in the same way.

SHE PROBABLY NEVER WILL ADMIT IT. BUT SHERRI I'M SURE IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT BLOOMER AND HIS OTHER CARS NOT PLANNING ON COMING BACK TO KLMS. THIS PLACE IS A SPECIAL SHOW TRACK. BANNING ONE DLM RACINGS 2 BIGGEST STARS IS NOT A VERY SMART BUSINESS MOVE. IF EVERY PROMOTER BANNED RACERS FOR LIFE BECAUSE OF THIS TYPE OF THING, THERE WOULDN'T BE MANY RACERS LEFT AFTER A WHILE. SHERRI NEEDS BLOOMER AND THE RACERS MORE THAN THEY NEED HER. SHE OWNS ONE TRACK. THEY HAVE HUNDREDS TO CHOOSE FROM.

BTW....... YOU CAN'T FIRE SOMEONE WHO HAS ALREADY QUIT!

We would have no racers left to race if they were banned due to the finger flip  Still not sure what the hype is about...

Its seems as though there are two different types of people in which post on stlracing: Ones in which feel it is necessary to always have something to ***** about, facts or not facts, and others who simply take the occurences in life and try to make the best of them. I am not meaning any disrespect I would just like to say that it definitely shows the maturity levels here. Wouldn't you rather spend the time in which you are on here pissed off;reading messages and posting on this forum--"spending time with your kids", sending a congrats to someone, or a compliment, how about a nice friendly letter? Although, maybe I just do not understand you personality or way of thinking?!?!

As a direct statement about the bloomquist situation.... There are twelve year old kids having sex and getting pregnant... The younger kids see worse things on Pixar movies than someone giving the finger? Have you actually sat down and watched them? Its the real world. You can not protect them from it, the best thing to do is explain things along the way and try to lead them into the right direction.

I am not a fan nor do I dislike Bloomquist-I do not even know the man personally. But do not judge someone until you really get to know them. I have learned this in the hardest ways possible. Talk a walk in someone else's shoes. He gave the finger, he was man enough to apologize, lets move on.

Don't you tell your children not to talk bad about people or poke fun at them? Not being a preacher but wouldn't the right thing be to forgive and forget? To those of you whom are a Christian: Doesn't God forgive you daily for all in which you do wrong no matter what?

***Make friends not enemies, Sorry for the lecture, I just couldn't take it anymore***
