I read on MSNBC NEWS that they will implement the 5 second delay after last weekends event with Jr. Nice move.. Day late and a dollar short .... :rolleyes:
 
I hope Jr. wins the championship & when the media sees him in victory lane, it would be hilarious if he said, "I'd like to thank all of my fans & Budweiser & NASCAR can kiss my *ss!" It'll never happen but would give the season a great ending.
 
Yes my post was long..sorriez board. Just this issue is bigger than just the s word. Its a big time problem. Did you know...FCC is now gonna fine all the networks..who televized that interview??? Estimated $150,000 per network..was told on morning news. This problem will get only bigger..to the point..if someone says a cuss word..or something the Bush clan doesnt like...they will go after you too. Dont like Howard Stern Todd?? Lol..im no fan..you had a point too. But..if you read history..he never had 1 problem with the good old FCC till...he criticized Mr Bush on the War efforts. He wanted us to goto war..then..when the facts of no WMD's were present.with the fact that we had no allies(except Britain) on our side...he said some not so nice things bout ole George. And..he was right. Did you also know..the FCC had allocated a large sum of money(some reports said...2million..some said 20 million)..that money was to goto education. Repeat..education. Wanna know where the good ole boys put that money?? Lots of people wanna know..becuase..and this is fact..they did buy..200 computers(out of date 4 yr old computers)..and they are currently in a warehouse..unused. were did the extra money go(how much did they pay for these pieces of shi....oh..ok..i better not)..us taxpayers need to just go get a lawyer..damn god one..and do some investigating..seriosly!! And yes..vote!!!! We need some new faces and different attitudes.

What happens if after the last race the Cup Champion wins by, say, 15 points, gets excited and cusses? Even though the 5 second delay would take it off the air, Nascar would know he said it and so would the viewing audience. Would they fine the Champion then and award the Cup to the runner up? What a bunch of ****!

I totally disagree with them taking points away from him!!!!!!!! He is awesome!! Those points could cost him the cup. I will be very upset if he doesn't win the cup because of those points. Jr ROCKS. Keep up the good work and go win that cup!!!!!!
 
Again, take points away for on-track incidents; fine 'em for off-track incidents; heard the networks are going to use a delay.....end of problem! Now for the next problem - NASCAR is too freakin stupid to fix their problems!
 
Nascar is being pinned to the wall..by the FCC..thats what this stuff is all about. Oh..they wont say that..but thats what is going on. The FCC is also furious..loll..from an interview i heard this morning..hear this out Todd..lol...of the Howard Stern move. Now..get this..since he has gone to satellite radio...guess what ole Michael Powell made a comment about?? Regulating that broadcast too!! Next..HBO..Cable..pay per views...totally out of control. Goto factcheck.com...i beleive thats the site..they got some cool info about ole Goerge and the clan he has.
 
Seems to me that I recall watching a episode of ER on NBC a while back in which they showed a woman nude from the waist up! So what you're telling me is that we can look at T1TS and A$S but we can't hear the word SH1T? My kids can see dead bodies on the nightly news laying in the streets of Iraq or even on the side of a highway in Missouri but they can't hear the word SH1T? I know it's a lot easier to explain to them that kids don't say the word SH1T than it is to explain why people are dead. I'm pulling for JR on this one. Win the championship by more than 25 points then stick it in their A$S and break it off when it comes time for an interview.
 
So now they are going to use a 5 second delay. Now what happens when a driver slips and says the bad words? Does he still lose the points? If they don't get fined, it seems to me that Dale jr is really getting the shaft.

Maybe next time he wins and does a smokey burnout, the EPA will complain and NASCAR can get him for another 25.
 
Good thought MK..never thought of that..damn emissions!! And you got it right...Nascar is getting their strings pulled on this one..if EPA did gripe..oh yea..something would be done for sure.
 
I thought that Despain stated on wind tunnel that, " a spontaneous remark(slip of the lip) made during a sporting event was not grounds for a fcc fine".....
 
i was sitting here watching the baseball game and heared godd---. i think they should give the cards a point for that and ruin houston chances of the win the series.
 
i heard the word he11 out of a couple of players tonight during pre-game interviews. Whats up with that, Nascar drivers cant say it but everyone else can!!!
