do i have to be from Highland to get a fair call

What I notice is the way the cars are lined up to start a race at Highland. it looks to me like the regulars driver get to start in front in most of the races but it looks like the drivers that don't race there every week have to start in the back half of the race most of the time. It almost looks like they have two deferent pill drawls . On for the every week boys and the other for the once in a while guys . You see close to the same line ups every week there .

I can almost guarentee that is not the case we race their almost every week and can't pill draw worth a crap.:)

3abreast do me a favor tell me who i need to see were there every week and i must be drawing out of wrong bucket to be honest i wish they would qaulify starting in back every week and getting tore up ****s 00 racing ellison

this has gone on at Highland for years.

Justin Ketrow(sportsman winner last night) got flipped off by one of the officials in the infield as he passed over the scales. Justin is from Trenton and has raced at Highland for probably close to 5 years now.

first class outfit, huh?
ofcourse he won can u say favortism ???

As for Charlie, He's in a no win situation, no matter what he does, or what call he makes, There is always someone on here every week complaining about this, or that. I wouldn't want his job. If anyone wants his job, I'm sure there is a procedure.
I don't know any of the drivers involved or Charlie, That is just my opinion.

Sam,

I would have to agree with Adam. I'm sure it was nothing against you. The call stinks but you have to brush it off and forget about it. If you feel that calls keep going against you try talking to Charlie after the race nicely. ;)You will get better results this way. Keep doing what your doing on the race track. You are one of my favorite street stocks to watch.:)

I have raced at Highland for 7 years. In that time I have seen many bad calls and many many good calls.Yes there does seem to be a great deal of favoriism at times, but thats at any track you go to in The country.Wrong call or not, you didnt make yourself look any better by leaving the track because you didnt want to re-start from the rear, but now I may be wrong about that being the reason you pulled off. You could very well have had broken something. But heres the thing, if you dont like the way the officals at Highland run their show, dont come back. Gas is expensive, so why pull all that way to in your eyes get Screwed. Sam is one heck of a driver and should have no problems find another track to race at and do well.

no your right on as far as starting in the back.not when we could not go 2 laps with out a crash.so i may not have made myself look good, but i saved my car and that's what a smart driver would do.when i go to a track i want to run top 3 i dont have to win just run up front.when i go racing i don't go to race other cars i race the track ,if the guys would under stand that they would do a lot better.if somebody shows you a fender don't freak out hold your line its ok to get passed.if you want to see some good street stock racing come to tri city on fri three and four wide a lot of good sportsmanship.for the most part.i wont be back until my crew is ready to go back. they were madder then i was.i think we"ll go to lincoln this week end

I may get hammered for this but I think a lot of the problems we have today started when track officials started giving drivers their spots back on yellows. This does not just happen at Highland and it started long before Charlie got there. Years ago, everyone involved in the yellow went to the back even if you got spun out by another driver. If you were sitting after the yellow flag came out, you went to the back. While I do appreciate what the officials are trying to do, only punish the offending driver/drivers, it has created more problems that it has solved. Also, the drivers have started driving differently since they started calling the races like this. Today, a driver has no problem cutting off and blocking a driver that is getting a run on him because he figures that he will get his spot back if he gets spun out. If the driver knows that he will go to the back if he gets spun he may be a little more considerate of that driver that is trying to pass him. JMO.

Like Tow Master said, We are a reg there and we always get a bad pill draw also just like Tow Master .

I think our drawer just plain ****s LOL , i think he says lets see how far back can we get or pays for a 47 LOL .
no joke it is not rigged it is not just cause they are reg its just good luck

Mojo You Are 200% Right I Believe Every Word You Typed Thats When Racin Was Racin Now It Is Put Him Here Ok Send Him To The Back Thats Not Racin Thats Advantage In So Many Words Favortism That Rule Should Have Never Been Changed Thats Stupid Whoever Thought Of It Anyway Bob Wente ??? Just Asking Some Stupid Sh!t He Would Have Done

Mojo is right on!! Put everyone involved to the back and they will be more considerate as they may stop to. Also the crap of everybody getting their spot back on the start, all that does is cause more yellows. Tri-city has it right and the car count shows it. Bopper

my husband is a regular at Highland and believe me, we start in the back all the time. Someone come draw our pill so we can start up front once.

wrong tri city still needs work.........they are not correct every time on the line ups after the cautions................................... a fan from the stands.....................................my opinion...............................

i have been watching the races at highland for almost 4 years now and i have seen plenty of bad calls. take for example the sportsman feature last week. Mark bohnenstiel was in the lead and clearly got spun out by the 88. the 88 was all over mark throughout turn 1 and spun him out. mark however gets sent to the back. then he gets kicked out because he refused to go to the back. I congratulate Mark for standing up for the position that was rightfully his, even though he got black flagged.

You are proud of someone for acting like a childish fool?? I'm not saying whether or not that call was right, I'm not an official. BUT, I will say, IF you get a call made against you, deal with it and take it like a man. He acted like a complete jerk, bottom line.

Last time i checked charlie was the promoter not the flagman. I not even sure if charlie gets to watch all the races? Yeah highland does have some questionable calls but so does every race track in the america. I am not defending no one just giving some facts. In the wonderful world of racing someone always feels screwed. My advice is take the good with the bad and be thankful we have places to race that are close.

Some day I will own a track and every one will be treated the same. I will show no favortism to any person or persons. Whether in the stands or on the race track. I feel that a racetrack is a place to have a good time and see all your favorite drivers. And as for drivers, this would be a place to race which is what you want to do anyway. I will have the best facility with the best accomidations for both spectators and drivers/pit crews. All will be treated as though they were family. Keep this in mind.

Some day...............................racinrocks
