the wreckers that are there are better than the crew at tri city but they are still too slow. georgeprice was good and so was bob kizer. if your wrecked, the wrecker isnt gonna hurt you any worse so just hook up and pull.

i don't think it really matters what happens with some of the race track around here. i just got done reading sprint car and midget mag. and i they were talking about the local tracks losing alot of their fans because nascar is trying to move all of their races to prime time tv.which means they are having alot more night races on sat nights.so it comes down to what the fans want to do.so either the tracks listen to the fans and do what they want and put some money back into the programs and the track and make the fans happy or the fans are just gonna stay home and watch the nascar races and not spend any money going to a local track.there have been some new tracks around in mo and il and i have been to the new lake ozark and race there and i would have to say that place is really nice and i think any fan would love to go watch a race there because of the money they put into where the fans are.what it all comes down to is what will you the fan do when it comes to staying home and watching a nascar race or going to your local track and paying to watch the local races.so really everything comes down to the great racing fan and what they want.so all we can say is the tracks should listen to the people that keeps them running

34 gf mf mentions that he's been to Lake Ozark. As I understand it they have a transponder scoring system, whereby each car is issued a transponder that is connected to a computerized scoring system. I'm not sure if it is financialy practical for every track to have right now, but would that ever speed up the re-line process. Plus it could eliminate the need to revert back to the last completed lap, as the field could be frozen the instant the yellow comes out. Again, more time saved.

No Brandon, I dont think you know squat about economics, nor much else for that matter. But to clue your arrogant *** in, when the local dirt track land is more profitably used for a subdivision than a dirt track, it will be sold and turned into housing. Period. And this will more than likely happen to any track within earshot of current development. It is not noise, nor the EPA, nor the local government string puller that will make this happen, it is simply a matter of resources being expended in the most valuable fashion. When the price of land gets high enough, the land will be sold for housing. It would be absolute foolishness on anyones part to turn down enough dough to BUILD THE NEW PHUCKING TRACK OUT IN THE STICKS, and relenquish prime real estate for development. Get a clue, arrogant asshole, cause you are most definitely not the smartest rock in the pile.

As for dirt track racing, it was alive and well long before you stuck your 2 cents in, and it will be long after you are done bytching about the race tracks and have moved on to bytching about the cost of long term geriatric care for your lonely *** at the local rest home. Probably built where Godfrey Speedway currently sits. Unless that road goes through it first.

BRANDON PAUL WHY must you get on here every freakin week and bash the tracks in the area. Chad and his crew have done a really good job running that track. I remember when i was a kid and was going to Godfrey Speedway it was always late when the races got over but as I remember noone ever complained about watching something they paid to go see. If you are not making the drivers happy then you have no drivers to make the fans happy.SO what if it takes alittle longer to run the show If you don't want to watch the long races then dopn't take your a s s out there plain and simple . Lets see you go out there and open a track and it run perfect until you can do that stops bashing our tracks. (JUST A THOUGHT)

oh yeah one more thing from my part of the pine... I go th Godfrey most every week, with family and friends usually atleast 6-10 of us in our lil group. We enjoy the races almost as much as the company we sit with every week. I dont mind the few extra minutes here and there to line up, or the qualifying, or the 4-5 car heats... really none of it bothers me a bit. We cheer our favorites and those who beat our favorites too.

Dont mistake us for casual fans though, we are there to see good racing. I guess what im trying to say is...

Brandon Paul make a few damn friends to shoot the breeze with to take your mind off of the flaws you see in the program. I guarantee you will have a better more fun filled night at the track, and if those around you piss and moan as much as you do on here, may i suggest making some new friends or just stay home and read a good Dr Phil book.

Either way most all on here from the sounds of it are sick of your weekly browbeating of Godfrey Speedway in general. Do us all a favor and sit on your hands... or do you already type with a stick taped to your forehead?

Stick taped to the forehead. That is too funny. :D :D

CQCQ if you are really interested in voluntering your time to line up cars it can be arranged. Some nights its easy and some times you are running you butt off. Just get me a number to contact you or come up to the office.

"Stick taped to the forehead"--nice work in making fun of handicapped people just to make a point. Why don't you make that crack Saturday down at I-55 to some of the families of the Special Olympians? I'm sure they would just think that's freaking hillarious. Uh, NO.

Unbelieveable.

Why don't you just leave this site alone, Brandon? You are most certainly not welcome here. You would think by now you would be getting the hint.

I think that Chad Naylor is really Brandon Paul using propaganda to increase track support for Godfrey. I love it when a plan comes together.

Chad you are a genious! LOL-Twice

Do you realize that UMP gives points for qualifing? No qualifing = No extra points. Late Model and Modifide drivers want those points.

And who ever gets fastest time each night receives extra money. No qualifing=no extra money. Late Model and Modifide drivers want this money.

Drivers also get extra points (through UMP) for their dash's. And the winner of the dash's also receive extra money.

No dash's = NO points and NO money.

Chad ...

I agree with you on the "extra" money for fast time and winner of the dash; however, you might want to explain what you mean by the "extra" points for qualifying and dash.

If I understand UMP points, (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong), Latemodels get UMP points for 3 events each night and they count their 2 best nights each week. At most tracks the events which earn points are the Heats, Dash and Feature. For tracks that qualify, such as Godfrey, they get points for qualifying, the fast six Heat, and Feature. Some tracks, I believe Highland and Mont County, qualify, which sets your place in the heat (heads up, no pill draw), then the top 6 of heats run dash, and then feature. It is my understanding that they still only get UMP points for the heat, dash & feature. Qualifying does not count for UMP points since they already have 3 "events" in which they receive points. Tracks that qualify do not have to run a dash; however, tracks that do not qualify MUST run a heat and dash for Latemodels.

Modifieds are different. They only get UMP points for 2 events each night and they count their 1 best night each week. In the case of Godfrey, they do not get points for qualifying. They get points for their heat and feature only.

Actually the way you set up the races probably hurt guys (especially modifieds) more than helps them who are running for UMP points.

In the case of Latemodels, if they set fast time and pull the 6 pill, and do not advance into the top 4 finishers, they get points for fast time, but no points for the heat. In the case of Modifieds, they could set fast time, get no points for it, start 6th in the heat, and finish 5th and get NO points at all for either qualifying or the heat. This does happen more often with the top 6 qualifiers running in the same heat rather than if they simply pull pills and start 6th in a 6 car heat, they usually will have some cars that can easily be passed.

If you are qualifying to help gain more UMP points, then you need to qualify both LM and Modifieds and start all events heads up. If a guy qualifies fast time, he would likely finish in top 2 spots of the fast 6 heat since often there is little passing in the heat races. Most of the passing comes at feature time.

Just a suggestion. Please don't bash me as you did Brandon.

Freezing the field the instant the yellow comes put really does speed up the restart. Just ask NASCAR. That is why they are having 15 to 20 lap cautions now for "debris on the track". Once more, Brandon, your forehead stick is punching letters before you have a chance to use those three brain cells.

Hey Chad And Jamie We Can Race All Night I Would Not Care Just Do Not Run Out Of Smirrnoff Ice Please You Have To Be Drunk To Listen To This Brandon Guy Wine I Hope He Takes You Up On Your Offer About The Pit Pass Hey If I Wine And Cry Because Im Not In Bed Before 11 Can I Get A Free Pit Pass Hell I Party Till 2 Or 3 After The Races And Get Up At 5am To Go To Work This Guy Is Comical He Needs To Spend His Friday Nights At The Funny Bone

Late races don't bother me either. I've been at a track till 1:45 watching the last feature. I don't care how late they run, I'll stay till the end. Godfrey just has to put up with the curfew. People on here are just trying to help them figure out ways to speed up the show so we can watch all the features and not worry about them getting cut short on time. It just seems someone who started the post wants to be home on time.I know the later the better for the track, the more beer and food sold means more $$$$$$$. But there is a way to speed up the show to get the races in without Chad having to deal with the curfew. Check into the Ump points like stated a few posts above,I think he's got it right. jmo
