It is almost impossible to get a WoO show that doesn't go up against some other big late model show somewhere, unless it is very early spring or late fall. I-55 thought they had a date on Oct 1, but the UMP Fall Nationals at Eldora was put on that date. There were just no other dates that worked.. The old Pepsi Nationals date is now the weekend of the Knoxville Late Model Nationals.
good point about outside locals not showing up anywaylocals don't show up for specials at i-55 anyway. when highland is off do those guys show up no they don't. so really everybody is bitching just to bitch.
I'm not talking about outside local racers (what's an outside local anyway). I'm talking about the guys that race I55 most weeks. I predict most will stay home. They would have raced the SN stand alone race.good point about outside locals not showing up anyway
For kreke13-
Dude, saying this is bad for the local racer is not the truth. It presents an opportunity for them to race the big dogs and have a shot to make the show. Once you're in the show being a regular at I-55. You could advance in the field knowing how the track will change. Look at the yellow 16. He has vast experience at these local tracks. One car I rarely ever see anymore is a black 13. Why is that?

Lanigan, T-Mac, B-Shepp and JD run Lucas.Sounds like it's going to make it a way better race than it ever would've been. Sure maybe the bottom half of the locals won't stand much of a chance but they get almost every other weekend to do their thing. Almost Every other class usually loses a night or two of the season from a scheduling matter. Having all the WoO regulars if I'm not mistaken Richards, lanigan, mccreadie Clanton bshepp, JD eckert, as well as the SN hitters WOW it's going to be a heck of a show! Can't wait.
If I were a local guy that considers a top 5 a great night, my car stays parked.
If I remember correctly it's Lm mods and bmodsAre they racing modified this night?
