Any Updates On "Rock"?

 Millsey, any new updates on the "Rock"? Haven't heard "NO" news at all. Please keep us posted on any new updates. Have a good one.;)

Is it true or just another rumor ? Last Wed. and Thurs. when it was warm out I was told that someone saw Leadbelt Materials on the track paving it. Are they planning on a Nextel Cup race in 2005 ? Maybe Pasta will get us an answer unless it is a secret ............

It's really sad that I can't get things worked out between Terry and Denny. I swear to you if I was physically able to run the place I would do it myself. There are too many special people who race at Fredericktown for it to die a needless death. There's still time people!! We need to get something worked out. Bring in the steel block or crate late models, the pure streets, the modifieds and maybe one other, hell even the sportsmen class if they would be interested.

Why did Denny take the place back if he wasn't going to do anything with it? At least Terry was doing something with it. Terry may have had some ups and downs, but it was progressing.

It is sad to think that a track from my early days of watching , just may go back into retirement. I used to watch my Uncle Ray "Paddlefoot" Harris race at the Rock. There are several tracks that a can just barely remember being at and now are already closed or about to close. I was born into this racing world and spent several nites at SFCR (Empire Speedway) St. Marys Raceway, Bismarck Track,Potosi Track, and The Rock as a very young person watching my HEROS race. Most all of my heros are either gone or no longer racing. The point I am beating around the bush to get to is, An area race track closing is as sad as your favorite driver (HERO)retiring/passing away . Both of these are "Gone but never forgotten." Hopefully The Rock can get something figured out so people can start with the healing process or get their schedules ready for 2005 season. GOOD LUCK to ALL in 2005 !!!!!!!!!!
