I've been trying to get a hold of Stan anyway... I've sent them several emails and nobody ever responds to them.. I call and I get an answering machine...

By the way, I talked with Wheel 21 tonight and we might end up trading the S-10 for a Mustang he has. We have more available parts for the Mustang and I'm sure Bill could use the extra parts too.

This brings me to the next stage, if everything goes as planned, and it appears it will, the biggest hurdle for us to overcome is the building of the roll cage.

We have two options. 1. Build it ourselves or 2. Have it built. Of course the second option is going to cost us more, but it will be done faster... I would love to have the car done by the start of race season...

OPINIONS PLEASE...

I VOTE HAVE IT BUILT

You have to spend a little money to make money...I see this as an opprotunity for the assn. to make money, either from rental or outright sale of the vehicle...We already have one rental customer(John Heitman) who is ready to give it a try...The sooner it is done, the sooner we can get in John's pocket...My question is, will the renter be competing in regular races, or just intermission hot laps? I suggest offering both....Bob

Bob what I seen at ATP on the 2 man crusiers was you raced the whole program just like any body else... would be fair

My suggestions would be for $75 per night rental, but on non-RAMS Points Series nights only. It would then be available if somebody was broke and it could be used for points by one of our drivers.

I also think it would be best to have somebody build the cage. I think with everything we have as a group to get ready for the season we have our hands full. I imagine between the people we have here in the immediate area we should be able to get it moved around to the proper places to get it ready.

We could probably get Dean to do it, unless you guys know somebody else. He's close by and all I have to do is tell him to build it to his specs.. As long as he's got the goodies he will do it I'm sure.

I say have Dean do it. I really like the idea that a guy who's broke can use it for a points night. That will really speak in volume about who we are as an association. Great publicity, too.

thats mean I'll be driving it most of the time right:D :D :D oh you mean broke car not broke $$$$:D :D lets get this thing started Millsey I have one sugestion DO NOT PAINT IT RATTLE CAN BLACK get a ideal on a piant scheme and I'll paint it in my shop we could do some tirger zebra strips:D or the smurf's famous racing strip

think of a simple color scheme not just one color

I say on this we need to vote and discuss on our feb meeting I don't want another Marty and the #1 sitiution again.... I say we bring it up at FEB meeting vote on the RAMS BACKUP car rule and get it wrote down and voted on we don't need any of this whinning crap in the middle of the year after we vote on it.... get it set in stone :D so we don't get any stones throwed at us:D :D

Well, in the mean time lets just get everything ready to go. Get things to their proper destination. We might even call an early meeting just to vote on this. You just can't slap it together overnight, it takes time. So far I've not heard one objection on here, but as we all know that doesn't mean anything.

Ya think it can be done by Christmas?? Bawhahahahahahahaha!! I know I'll pay for that, but I just had to say it. :p

(and yes, I'm in a great mood today!)

you can't put it togehter over night???? hmmmm guess I need to get started on the chevy eater hehheheheh aint that right KDS:D ;) :D

Here's what I have. It looks way nicer than that S-10. Here's a question I got though. In theory this sounds like a good money maker for the points fund. But where is the money coming from to maintain and build this thing. Points Fund? there some risk involved there because I don't know too many of us that make money racing with winnings. And i'm assuming they keep their winnings. And same thing on building it. Is it coming from points fund. You could get a few sponsor for that car to get it built or something maybe.

Anyways here's what I have.
