hey bleedblue

Those are fees for further testing for verification...

I've read about J.Dearing speaking up about track officals making bad calls and speaking up about a tire that isn't legal,so whats that make him a man with principals we need alot more like that in this world today.
I have to agree with Aggressive. While Jimmy sees me a s a rogue, and bit of a rambler on certain topics, when I get my panties in a wad. I wholeheartedly agree with him..I totally support this post, and the spirit in which it was brought out... Honesty people..... Is not just for pussies anymore!!!

I heard today that Kloos was trying some of Nick Gieseking tires out at belle dumpo and got caught cheating..

from web site

The sniffer at the track is what isn't detecting these. They don't register on the sniffer so they may not take samples and send to the lab.

I will not put what persons website I took this from but he is one of Nick's suppliers. They say on the site that will beat lab tests.

" What we ended up with was a tire prep that has incredible bite and conditioning effects that is also capable of beating sniffer and labratory testing. This prep is now used nearly exclusivly by the race car market, and is also popular in Quarter Midget racing where tire testing is still active. This prep is a favorite of race car drivers not only because they know they can pass all available testing, but they can use half as much as most competitive preps, with even better results."

Let me start with this, it is no secret that I work very closely with Eric Rendleman(Venom Juice) who is the best tire guy in the country. He and I teamed up over the winter and ever product I sell is Venom Juice labeled designed and formulated by them for me the way I wanted them. Thanks for making breaking news everyone, awesome reporting.

For those of you who think a $300 lab test will catch what I say I just laugh. A quality GC Mass Spec test runs in the $800 range, those still will not catch what I have.

As far as UMP getting a hold of my products, I'll sell them to them. Nobody else needs to buy them from me to give to them, and it they are willing to spend the 100 of thousands of dollars it will take to break them down and figure out what to look for then be my quest, they won't.

Get a clue before you start stating what you think are FACTS!!!! You guys are soooo off base it's not even funny to me anymore.

Here is a thought...

If tire prep is an inexpensive way to improve the tires (both performance and longevity/durability), and cutting the imperfections out of the tires is also "affordable," then why not DEMAND that Hoosier implement this stuff at the factory and provide better tires to begin with?

I have NEVER been a fan of Hoosier tires.

I wish UMP would dump them and go with the IMCA type of tire from McCreary...

Hoosier tire = one or two nights before they are "junk"

McCreary = a full season of one night per week racing... or half a season if you race two nights.

Hoosier has been in business long enough that they should be able to sell a round tire (that doesn't need cutting) that will hold up for more than one night or even one race.

Now, I am just speaking for Modifieds... but Hoosier can't even deliver a consistant tire... you buy one that THEIR label says is an 87... and you get it and it's nowhere close to that! Not with 15 lbs... not with 20... and so on.

They deliver junk... and they know it. Everything they do constitutes them selling more tires. This one is too big/small? Go buy another... and another... run it for one night... it's junk... start the process over again.

Dump Hoosier... problems solved!

Let McCreary, Goodyear, perhaps even Firestone or ANYONE that makes a dirt tire allowed to have a tire approved for competition. End the Monopoly.

Hoosier is just what their name applies. They think they are dealing with stupid redneck racers and are selling/providing junk.

It's up to the driver's to step up and DEMAND a better product.

With enough noise and committment from the drivers... that measily $5,000.00 that the sanctioning body is supposedly getting all of a sudden means NOTHING if their aren't any driver's to pay out to.

It would be a few rough weeks... but I doubt it would take long before changes were made. The driver's need to take back control of their sport. Plain and simple.

Of course, this is just my opinion, but let the bashing begin...

did you just admit to what you are being accused of.by saying those still will not catch what i have.

No bashing, but you are wrong on the fact that their tires can't be consistantly fast for more than just a couple weeks. I have a couple H's that I pass around and let people run if they can't afford to buy tires or just to let people try that have never run an H before. Those tires have at least 10 nights on them and are just as fast now as they were new. Yes they have been treated but that just supports my cause even further.

The purpose of cutting a tire is far from just making it round. It has a lot more to do with getting the profile on the tire so that under dynamic load you get the full contact patch on the ground, which creates more side bite and more forward bite. It also extends tire life, changes spring rate of the sidewall, I could go on and on. But no need to because most of you have already convinced yourself you are just totally against everything I do even if you are completely wrong. I guess what they say is true, ignorance is bliss.

Dude no one is saying you don't know your Business. It's ILLEGAL to do what you do. If they make it legal ,game on. That is the ***** on this thread...

And I have no problem with getting critized for what I do. First off though that tire isn't illegal, I've had guys from numerous states call Sam and he said he had no problem with that tire. I also had people run them last night at the Summer National show and none were DQ'd. Tire seems legal to me and until UMP says otherwise then to me they are legal, and not through Jimmy "The boy who can't comfront someone like a man" Dearing.

Everyone needs to contact sam tomorrow and let him know that we dont need another tire in the mix! I know i will!

A Thought! (FUNNY)

Hey Nick, will your sh*t produce a two-groove racetrack? If so,you could save some tracks around here.....HMM?;)

I hope the rest of the tracks in the area will take Kevin's lead and ban Nick. I will not stop him but a good start.

They can teach a dog to sniff out drugs, bombs, people, fruit, almost anything... couldn't we have a UMP tire sniffing dog named Blue?

Does Sam like dogs?

I am not wrong...

I was talking about an untreated and uncut... straight from Hoosier tire.

You said that I am wrong because you have been passing around a tire that has been used "more than a couple of weeks"... yet you disqualify that statement by saying that it was a treated tire. This cancels your argument.

I am saying that Hoosier should take the steps that YOU are taking and do it at the factory so that guys like you don't have to circumvent or ignore the rules.

I don't even care if they buy the stuff from you or employ you to do the cutting... I don't care how they do it.

What I am saying... is that if it is so simple to treat and cut... then it is something that Hoosier should do to make their crappy tires better.

Ask ANY driver who has quit racing in the past 10 years why they quit... #1 reason is the tire bill.

Sure, engines can cost a ton initially, but if they are maintained and refresheshed the way they are supposed to, that initial outlay should last quite some time (although they will never pay for themselves).

I know guys that have showed up at the track with very little (comparitively) in their engines... and have run with the top spenders... yet, they can't win because the guys with unlimited pocket books can afford to run new tires each night or even each race. Alot of guys are spending more per night to compete than what the average purse will pay... even if you win everything! It's rediculous.

I've spoken to MANY racers who have "retired"... and all say the same thing...

In 1986 when I started covering racing for the local newspaper, there were 26 drivers from Sainte Genevieve County competing at I-55 each week. How many are there now (not counting Pro-4s)? Less than 5 on any given night.

Number one reason... TIRE RULE! Just got too expensive.

Like I said before, Hoosier needs to be forced into doing something better with the product they are selling. The racers need to take more control of their sport.

Car counts are WAAAAY down all over the place. If the car counts are down, then there is less to watch... which means less people in the stands... etc etc.

One driver on here, Marty Smith Jr, came right out and said that this is the main reason he has retired.

It ****s. ALOT of damn good drivers are sitting on the sidelines now.

If your product would help fix this problem, then contact Hoosier and do business with them and come out with a legal/approved tire.

But don't circumvent the rules and think that it is ok to do what you do.
