Highland Rules

I don't think it matters if your are 30 - 40 years old or 14 - 30 years old. CHEATING is CHEATING period!!!
I think that everyone should be on the same playing field going into the 2007season, not special provision because of who you are.[/quot

how are you ever going to have a even playing field when all cars are not made the same !!!!!

the only way you going to have a even field is to have rules that all cars can be apart off . like a man. vacuum a car hath to idle at a certion r.p.m. a manatory fuel pressure all 4 brakes , a car hath to run a manatory air press. after race , same size tires f/ r . now these are rules all cars can relate to........

rules like these can even the playing field no matter what make or how much money you got !!!!

but dont think your neon or probe or calv. is going to run with my 2000 tiburon ,, idont care what the rules are the cars are not GOING TO run even !!!

Just for the record, I am in charge of checking to make sure the Hornets/FS's are safe. I'll be looking at cages, welds, the way belts and seats are mounted, helmets, suits, etc. The safety aspect of racing is something I enjoy and WANT to help with. I'm sorry I made the comittment to tech then changed my mind a few days later. After some thought I decided I have too many friends at the track and competitors who I respect and get along with. I think the way the team is set up is a good idea and a step forward for the class, I'm just choosing not to be in on the competitition end of it. In fact if another driver wants to come forward and take my place, please contact Charlie or Sue Zobrist for more info. I know alot of guys are raising h*ll now, but I honestly believe this is gonna clean alot of stuff up. JMO, Aaron.

I still don't think you have read the rules for Highland.....almost everything that you posted about making the cars even are in the rules already.

gosh fast joe.......... you and your 2000 tiburon are the GREATEST!!!!

oh by the way...could you please use your spell check, it's free.....thanks

for those of you that haven't read all of the posts....there is nothing that will beat fast joe and the 2000 tiburon.....you are truly the GREATEST fast joe!!!!

I think that Hornets should be like the compact demos at Highland cant be over 21 to race the class because most of the people that are b!tch!ng are the 30 year old plus drivers that couldnt make it in any other class if they tried. So they go and stick like 5 grand into a hornet and dont say u arent becauase then why would you be selling a race ready car for 4500 5500. I mean come on that is ignorant. My question is will there be any time that the heads will be pulled off. Will you be check stock rev points with the burned spot this year.

You think that you should be under 21 but being only 14 is okay. Not come on that is a little ignorant, you cant even drive at 14.
I wonder if that is a rule at Tri-City since that's why some of the rules got changed so people can run either highland or Granite City?

I will be 41 next year and I am NOT moving to another class regardless of what anyone says...I run part time and have a bone stock 93 Cavalier and I am only there for the fun of it..

Here we go with the age thing again I am 25 years old and you know I have been beat by people younger than me and I have beaten people older than me. Who cares. If you are legal let them *****. Quit crying about age and all the bs. We will find out who is better than who and who is going to be crying in MARCH.

what cars are 4 cyl sports cars
Well lets go back to 1980 something for cost effectiveness. Mustangs, Camaros, Daytonas. From the big three.. They are still out there.. How about the Conquest?? The rear was independent though. If thats legal it would run, there was a version of it that wasnt turboed. 80's Chargers with the 2.2 ran decent in midrange. Get a Pinto or a mustang and true that head up ALOT say about umm 100 thou..theres about $50. And 15 hp. If you have a friend thats a machinist..I walked up behind an 80's Mustang, (I believe it was white) at Pevely one night, about 2 years ago that wasnt stock. It had a small cam in it, thats not legal is it?? Lets continue on.. The infamous Tiburon, how about an old Toyota? Like the Supra...I'm sure Speedway Salvage has a few of these in stock..Are they even still open?? Theres 7 off the top of my head, and I dont even keep up with newer cars. Wanna go fast? an Eclipse has a 160 mph speedo, is that a 4 cyl?? Hondas???
