Real tire companies would have there engineers design a tire, have the field guys test it..bring the results back and re-engineer and test until they had successfully built a better tire. Hoosier has Sam shit ona cookie sheet to make the prototype and then roll it out for the poor racers to test with their own money. Real life testing they say! LMFAO

Remember those of you who criticized me for being tough on UMP and tires. How do you like me now bitches!

The hoosier g60 tire is wearing out a lot faster this year as well. 3 features and 1 play day and I have burnt up 2 tires. If someone could help me out with how to make them last longer and perform better that would be great.

That is not true at all.. . There weekly payout for mods is $700 to win and 11th-20 get $75 and 21st on back gets $50.. They do run a once a month special for mods paying a lot more. But weekly they do not. And your pit pass for that once a month special is $50.
now Mr Dearing you said that Klms has a once a month mod show paying a lot more than $700 well you might want to check their schedule because on 4/18 $4000 4/25$1500 5/9 $2000 5/15 $3000 5/16 $4000 I think that is a lot more than once a month

And their is a lot more dates

Technically, I see 12 dates posted with an above weekly payout over 7 months.....so if you really want to split hairs, it's 1.7 races per month. I wouldn't really call that "A Lot More" than once per month. Furthermore, some of these are "specials" which I would assume do not count towards the tracks points.

I'm not sure what point you and Dave34 are trying to make. The weekly shows are UMP Sanctioned and AMS is a Series Sanctioned and Sponsored by UMP/DirtCar for 4 (or more) of those high dollar events. So I'm not really sure how this benefits the local racer or why it gives credence to support KLMS for "Giving UMP the Boot"?????.

All American Modified Series Events will be sanctioned through UMP, therefore you will receive AMS Series points and points toward UMP National Points standings (UMP Points are awarded only to drivers who choose to sign up with UMP as a member). In the event that we sanction a race at a Non-UMP Race Track, All AMS Format and Rules are in effect, and drivers will still be awarded AMS and UMP points.

AMS TIRE RULE FOR 2015 IS A-40, A-40S AND H-40.

Has anyone checked the lap times over the past couple years In all classes? Maybe the cars are working the tires that much harder? In 2011 Michael long recorded the first lap averaging over 70mph at quincy raceway and has only gotten faster I would bet. Technology has boosted this sport over the past 3-5 years. Not sticking up for Hoosier it seems all classes in many sanctions are having the same problems. Our racecars weight seems to be getting heavier if you have this or have that on your car add weight. The cars for sure have not gotten lighter but have gotten way faster it's just evolution. They will continue to get faster and work better therefore being that much harder on tires. Thanks to jimmy d you can see the lap times on all classes from i55 last week(thanks jimmy keepem comin) wish all tracks had that option. The average speed for mods a-b both were around 70mph average some a's 75mph. That was on a slick track also. Wondering if anyone has kept track over the years or maybe a place to look them up?

wrong kingeddy their are 14 races that pay anywhere from $1500 to $4000 over a seven month period so that's at least two per month my point is this mr.Dearing said that their was one per month that's my point

Some people just want to nicpic every little thing I do on here. Ricky Brown being one of the top ones...

Yea, shoot me, I support STL area track first and foremost. There are a few of you that just aren't happy unless you are bitching about something.

I have no problem with what KLMS is doing. More power to them.. Good for the drivers taking home the money. That is what they are having to do to get cars to show up.

I didn't go to their website and count how many damn high paying mod races they had. They run 5 classes and rotate the big money nights between them.. I just took an average of that in my head.

No, you are wrong. There are only 12 dates WITH A PAYOUT LISTED (re-read my post). The other 2 are TBA with no mention of the payout. Now you can nit pick that, asswipe.

Another thing ..KLMS is only paying the top 5 drivers point fund money. If you finish 6th you don't get squat. How does this help the local low budget guys? I wonder if the Mod Specials have top loaded payouts as well?

Matty Winters Roughest I have ever seen that track to be honest, and the car count at the end of the Modified feature was horrific. 6 out of 30 cars finish the main feature and the majority of the cars were beat to hell and back. I would like to think they were that way because of actual racing, but it was not. Found this on kentucky lakes facebook page I 55 was not rough mod feature was a little top side side happy but late model feature was three wide for the lead
