I-55 Raceway Cancelled for March 26!

I think I'd rather the tracks open later in April with better weather and then run into the fall a little later. September always seems so early to quit racing for the winter.

Plus how many racers don't have their cars done until the 2nd or 3rd week of the season with these earlier start times? By starting a few weeks later, more racers could compete for a points title.

As for the quitting time, I've always just shook my head at tracks that start announcing in August that they're "going to race 'till the snow flies," and then run their last show perhaps one week after Labor Day.

All that said, I'm ready for some racing right now.

I know of one...

It doesn't matter when the races are scheduled to start. I know of at least one ex-driver for sure, but I won't mention Loren's name, oops, that NO MATTER when the races were scheduled to start... it was ALWAYS a last minute rush to get the car done - in fact, this person counted on the first night being a wash!

This is the first season in a long time that I have just been sitting around (at home) waiting for the season to begin. It's been kind of nice.

Let's get going, get the crap out of the way and start a great season!

(BY THE WAY: Loren, just because you hung up your helmet doesn't mean you are immune from ridicule!)
