Inside the pits at i55

It seems that GOTDIRT and GOTTALUVIT both want to see it in only their own distorted way, by trying to seperate what happened in the pits from what happened on the track, ignoring that there is a direct cause and effect relationship.

They apparently feel they were unjustly punished, why don't you share the details and lets see if others feel your incident was in fact an injustice or merely the result of someone being overly self absorbed.

Well heres the facts as I know them. It was towards the end of last season and Ricky had quite a few bad calls by the officials in the weeks leading up to and including that night. I don't recall all the details but I think there was a caution thrown for another wreck that Conrad miner and Ricky weren't involved in...and Allied made the call to put both drivers to the back. It was towards the end of the race and Ricky pulled in. He went over to the turn 4 official to ask why that call was made because they clearly didn't cause the caution and weren't involved in it. I was sitting on the front stretch and could see the conversation got heated with the two of them, but there was nothing physical. The crowd was cheering that night to. I saw his wife fly the finger to the officials in turn 4 that night. Anyhow he was suspended for the rest of the year and I think he was fined too.

Now lets ask gotdirt and delee and jimmymac to. I think we are all the same people tho.

I think got dirt and the other g head would be happy if hollywood doesnt get in trouble anymore. They are still crying about hollywood from last year. Wah ! Get over it.

GOTTALUVIT:

What you describe coupled with his most recent antic of walking off in a snit and leaving his car on the track sounds more like self absorbed bratty behavior lacking any true justification for his conduct.

I have gone to the source. My prediction will be a fact. Maybe not this weekend, but before the season is over, trust me. I've already heard 3 drivers state that fact. They refuse to hold back if the green flag has been waived. I think they'd gladly pay a fine and race the next week and be able to settle their differences at the race track. Those same drivers wouldn't have thought about it before hand because they didn't want to be suspended...now it's fair game. What is Ray Marler if he condoned fighting at his race track with out suspension? Please enlighten me? No one went to jail last weekend....

It's pretty crappy that it just depends on "who you are" as to your punishment or lack there of at Pevely. Also shows the type of class act that the Gundakers are. They are fair and consistent.
Before you cmpare one track to another, nothing against how fair or unfair the Gundakers are but I do remember about 3 or 4 weeks ago, at tri-city a litlle bumping was going on between two drivers on the track and it carried off the track with one guy going to the other guys pit and beating the hell out of another guy and there was no one suspended and many crew guys were invoved. The word was that Kevin talked this guy out of signing charges. So you ask what kind of promoter ray would be... The only difference I see in these two situations is that one was at tri-city and one was at Pevely

what is it with some people thinkin its gonna be the wild west on the racetrack after last week ?........if anything ...with alot of talk and speculation about what has or has not been done...and attention brought to it, i think there will be more scrutiny towards the drivers ........doubt ant of them wanna be the next one to be singled out ?......just my thoughts ???.......of course this hasn't been an occurence that hasn't happened many times before....just the latest........it'll blow over , but of course will be referenced to for years to come.....

That is what happened. On probation until he is dead. Didn't Todd Magraw get suspended for a fight after an on track situation. Didn't Brian Worley get suspended for a season for a fight he wasn't in (driver responsible for crew). Just think the double standard is a joke. I don't wish anyone to get suspended but since Allied has made it part of their penalty, well whats good for the goose.

Bottom line is Ray Marlar trumped Allied's rules. It's amazing that the track owner doesn't stand behind the people that he selected to officiate the rules and racing. It is a true slap in the face to Allied. Rules are rules and they should be upheld to the fullest to whoever it is and if it *isses off some of the so-called 1W or 00 "followers" than so be it. They'll be back, cause 1W or 00 will return as well. Whatever happens on the track stays on the track, but what happened in the pits was uncalled for and both should be held accountable by what is printed in black and white in the rule book. Shame on Ray Marlar.

Mike Cray :)
