Melvin Gets New Pierce Mod

Not trying to change the subject,But I thought I saw somewhere that Korte bought a Mod also....... I dont know if its true so maybe somebody will know.......
 
Kinder is the guy that is goin every where and winning how many big races has rusty won this year i think kinder won a 7500 race at kentucky lake and won at clarksville 5,000 and lets not forget who won at eldora last year win the mods had there big race
 
There are way too many good modified drivers in this area. Kinder is very good. You also know you have to admit that Griffaw is on his game and very good too.

Those of you saying there is no competition in the Late Models at Godfrey, simply don't know what you are talking about. The likes of Matt Taylor, Mark Faust, Chad Zobrist, Dick Taylor, Michael Kloos and so on. Also Melvin about 1/2 the time there as well. There are plenty of good cars at Godfrey each week.
 
Godfrey also has Collins!!!!!!
I think the best races I have seen so far this year have been at Godfrey!! There is always 2 or 3 fighting for first, in the Mods and Late Mods!
 
i have to put my $.02 cents in on this one.first off i have to say that rusty griffaw is probably the fastest modified out there this year,sorry if you dont wanna admit it but it is true folks,look at how many tracks he has been fast and WON at.anybody can be fast at their home tracks that they race weekly,but to travel the roads and win at several different tracks,that buddy is pure talent.as an example there was a big money show at fulton this weekend,alot of out of town guys from montgomery come and had their try at it,well they got their butts handed to them buy the local boys,steve payne ran twenty five laps with a busted left front tire and put er in the wind for a strong second place run..i am not taking anything away from the other drivers by no means,there are alot of fast guys who i admire in the modifieds,but rusty is at the top of his game and has proven this more then once,this is just his year..now melvin im sure could put up a good race to anyone but im sorry but rusty would have his *** this season,everything is in rustys corner and he has been driving flawless..look at some of the names in the late models he ran with and beat,first time ever in a car,if it dont tell you something well then im sorry..

Steve Payne don't use the left front tire anyway. Hate to tell you but every time Payne or Blackburn has showed up at Montgomery they've been handed the same whoopin'.
 
that being twice,i dont think they will give up yet,payne ran fine the one time until he ripped the oil pan off.neither of the 4 front guys ever use the lf,but when you can run 18 laps without setting the spindle in the mud,your on the move,reminded me of dixon..there was a 4 way battle between payne,crane,burgtorf,long..it was a hell of a show..did i mention micheal long from ill has the strongest ford motor i have ever seen to date!

i dont think we will go to monkey city,i think grain valley will be the saturday night track,if i had a modified still i would run monkey city.if we do come to monkey city,it will be my older bro running and im sure he wont be a threat..i was running 4th in the fature,made a move for third on the high side on the last lap and the third place guy didnt like that and put me into the wall,we ended up 7th overall.car is workin great,motor is more then enough,well try next weekend..

I have to differ with racer94....... I don't think Rusty Griffaw is the fastest thing on wheels in a modified..... I sure do think he is fast and I sure do think he is a good driver.... I have watched him a couple of times this year... seen him win...seen him lose...............calm down Announcer1 :) ...
Chad Kinder has raced at just as many different tracks as Rusty has this year...... :confused: I have not got to see him race much at all this year... TRUST ME !!! I would much rather see him at the home tracks just so I could watch him...... He has raced UMP and USMT races ..... You can never count him out of a race..... as you can't Rusty or Brent Mullins or Matt Mevert or Scotty Weber........... I can keep on naming names...

We all have our favorite drivers and we all totally support our favorite drivers... that is the way it should be...........
 
carcar you need to read closer,there are alot of fast guys in mods as i have said,and trust me rusty is not my favorite.but i hate to break it to you bud,look at the points and the statistics,rusty just in fact is the fastest thing on wheels in a modified.chad kinder may have raced as many different tracks but he sure hasnt WON at as many different tracks.like i said before im taking nothing away from anyone else,half the modifieds of today are great and fasst,but im giving credit where credit is due,everyone might as well choke it up cause this is indeed RUSTY GRIFFAWS year!!!

How many times do I need to tell you guys that there are still to many weeks of racing left alot can yet happen. Just leave the guys alone and let them do what they want....RACE. Let them have their fun because trust me you aren't going to upset them in the least little bit by talking good or bad about them on here. Just my two cents.
 
i agree with the one who said LET THEM RACE............. and I should have kept my trap shut but didn't.......

and you have your opinion and i have mine........... lets see who is at top by end of season...........

chad is not and i said NOT running for ump points......... what is it you get for winning UMP points at end of year??? $20, 000 ??? I really dont know...but Chad has already made that much this year...

BUT.... Chad is my favortie........... and I have absolutely nothing against Rusty Griffaw.... I met him, interviewed him and thought he was a total gentleman and liked him very much...... he is very exciting to watch and I hope he is the one that wins the UMP Points.....

my point only was... he is not the only one traveling to all these tracks..and winning.....

carcar,i think we both have the same views,to me the ump points isnt sh** in my book,i mean ya it is nice to be the top points man of the year,but rusty traveling all over and winning is what proves hime to be good,as well as the many nights sweeps he has done(heats,dash,feature)..like i said it isnt hard to tune a car for the same exact track every week and be fast.it is hard though to travel to three different tracks in three different nights and win like rusty has done.like i said,rusty is by no means my favorite mod driver,my favorite is a local who gets no recognition at all.and i am not taking away from any driver,but this is rustys year,period!

kermitthefrog--we do not care how many weeks are left,or how long it is from the end,this is rusty's year so get used to hearing about it,it was fine and dandy when everyone talked of harrison all last year.this is the reason jimmy made this ever so wonderful sight,this is a place for us racers to talk about anything to do with the racing season,you dont like it venture on over to 4m or something it really wont bother us who put alot of our feelings into this site!!
