Melvin vs. Voigt at Brownstown.... Brawl time!

Mark is kicked out of Brownstown for life, it's a bunch of b.s. that Melvin or the Heck family wasn't thrown out as well. Mevlin started the whole ordeal and Hecks boy had to run his mouth because he knew some one would back him up. I think that the kid deserved it and then to go out there and race and take his anger out on other cars.... or is he just that bad of a driver? I just can't get over the fact that melvin or the Heck crew wasn't kicked out. Tough break for Voigt. Also about Jumbo and that other guy gettin arrested...y didn't any one else that was in the mosh pit get takin away? and the lady goin phsyco... i believe she did yell at Kathy and called her some names and that lady needs to be delt with. Also about the kids being in the pits..... I just dont see how you can say that people under 16 should be in the grandstands and stay out of the pits. There is just some iresponsible kids down there. I happen to know some kids that race that aren't even 16! That kid deserved what he got for running his mouth. This is the first fight that i can think of that involed kids in it. all i have to say is that they should have all been kicked out and charlie should've handled this A LOT better.

You're absolutely right! I stand corrected. But I just can't help but to think that there is a difference in racing and leaning. I'm sure there's gotta be someone else that feels there is a difference in the two.

A couple things bother me here. First is the obvious display of favoritism.....if you kick one out, get rid of them all. The other is Korte. I can't believe what has been said about his role as an instigator or participant (whatever you want tocall it) is the case. If he was involved, how disappointing for him and his fans. He's been very successful and did not get to where he is today doing junk like that. Seems childish.

This Would Have Been Easy For Ump To Sort Out If Crews Would Have Left It Between The Drivers. It Should Have Been Melvin And Voigt, No Women, Children, Or Crews!!!! Then Ump Could Have Done With Them What They See Fit.

From All The Versions I've Read, The Two At The Center Of The Whole Deal, Were The Only Two Not Getting Beat Up. Like I Said, Leave It Between The Drivers. 99% Of The Time It Will End With A Little Mf'n And They'll Go Back Racin'!

What is wrong with you people? You people think is alright for a 14,15 yr old, & a woman to get beat up? These guys are adults, they should know better. You must also have selective reading, Charlie did not kick the Voights out of the track,Charlie did not bar the Voights, mark told him he was leaving & not coming back. Explain to me how they got kicked out? I was told ump barred his crew members from any ump track, and put him on probation for the actions of his crew, for hitting children & a woman. You people amaze me, put you wife & kids out there & see what you say.I do not agree with what happened from either party, but what I do believe is, adults should be more mature enough, not to beat on kids & a woman. Mr. Heck is big enough to take care of hisself.i think he showed them that when he got up off the ground. It does not take much of a man to hit another man when he is down on the ground, and what I saw was two of Voights crew members taking some pretty good shot in the back of Mr. Hecks head,as well as the other one who was kicking him in the face & ribs. All I have to say to you people is, that you are sick, if you think this kind of conduct is fine.

I think everyone needs to get there story straight like Rick Heck before they talk. What Voigt wrote was right and i was right there. Korte needs to keep his nose out of everyones buisness. Rick Heck needs to keep his wife, kids, and himself under control. They deseved what they got.

Mustang
I was standing there and heard the track promotor tell Voigt and the officer that, Both Voigt and Melvin was kicked out. Sorry about your luck but that was the call. I guess the track promotor changed his mind after Voigt left.(favortism?) Voigt made the show, now he won't get his starting money. Why would Voigt leave on his own???
Like I said before, think things through before you open your mouth and sound like a redneck

Good job Generic Cigarette Racer
I am glad that someone else is thinking things through, you might be onto something there.

DAHpew don't just stand for stupid anymore

Charlie Dahpew is the obvious problem. Highland racetrack has suffered under his direction. This same exact bs has been going on at highland. I was not there but I can tell you all that Charlie, did not see it. His answer for everything is I didn't see it. A punch in the face, a wreck, a car on the race track to throw a yellow (complete restart) I didn't see it. DAHpew's answer everytime.

The rules are made for reasons, when you bend for one you break for the next. Charlie needs to take off the blinders and get some big boy glasses and remove the stick out of his ***.

FYI - I tried to read Mr. Hecks reply but I think you need to be illiteriate to understand that whole thing.

Mustang, it isn't that we agree with a woman & kids being hit on, but (probably)most everybody posting on this have seen the heck kids at their best. A girl got loose at mt. vernon one night in the hornets & hit one of them so ALL of the heck kids went after her!!! One of the boys flipped one night in hornets & they ALL went after the person they thought caused it. Nothing is ever their fault. Most & likely the boy was probably standing down there mouthing off & somebody shut him up. I have children of my own & no I wouldn't like it if an adult jumped one of them but I DO teach my children to be respectful to adults & thats where it lays, in rick & bev's hands. If you don't teach your kids to be respectful, this is what you end up with!!!!!

I also have to comment on the Melvin fans in the stands, boy, that mom of Rodney's, somebody needs to strap her down to her seat & put some electrical tape across her mouth if she is going to continue going to races. I felt sorry for Rodney Sunday night after listening to her up there & thought that this really shouldn't reflect on him because he can't help it, but it just does!!! All I can say is, Rodney, i'm so sorry!!!!

I wasn't there to see any of this but if I was Voigt I would be calling UMP and let them know was going on. No man should ever hit a women, but if your going to put yourself in the middle of a fight and hit MEN the you get what is comming. Rick should have never let his kid go over there maybe some maners and rescept needs to be learned in this family.

The Heck Family

I was at the "scene of the crime" and in addition Brent had a front row seat during the heat race. I will withhold any comments about the race and the fight because you all have heard enough.

The Krekes and the Melvins dont always see eye to eye. Suffice to say that we wont be having brunch together on Sundays, but with that said, I must tell you that I know Rick Heck and his family very well. Ricks boys have voluntarily helped us on several occassions in the pits, when we were short help, even though we were racing against Rodney. We raced at MTV when Brent was too young to race anywhere else. During those years Rick and his family always treated us with respect.

Rick Heck is a family man. THATS WHY HIS WIFE AND KIDS ARE WITH HIM AT THE RACES AND IN THE PITS. They are a family. I love families especially those that stick together. Lots of other parents leave their kids at home- sometimes unattended. The Hecks are always together. I am sure that Rick and his wife would like to have seen things gone differently on Sunday but they didnt. But dont get down on the Hecks because they stuck together as a family. What would you do if you saw your kids being threatened- regardless of the situation?
I know what I would do! Al Kreke

dirt hound, there is NOTHING wrong with women in the pits. there are a bunch of women out there(i am related to a couple of them, and i know many more) that will forget more about racing and racecars that you will ever know.

This is just my opinion. But, maybe Melvin, Heck and that other driver oh whats his name remember the kick @$$ racer that Voigt used be, and all realize that once he gets his ride lined out he will kick all their tails in the dirt.
just my opinion.............

Dirthound once again you are dispaying your male chauvenist ignorance. I agree that young children might not have a place in the pit area. As far as women go I personally know a few women who work only to keep the bills paid so the hubby can afford to race. Almost every race track I know have women in key official spots. Last but not least I know many wives and girlfriends that work as pit crew that can change a flat alot faster than the man standing next to her. Maybe what we need is less dogs in the pits I hear they are tired of you peeing on the tires.

Uh Oh Dirt Hound now you did it, good thing you didn't post your true feelings that "women should stay home and make babies"...lol

I think Dirtgirl is going to hunt you down Saturday night, LOOK OUT!!!
