Funny thing is we actually tech there. I'm sure that's why some haven't came out. But once everyone that's legal catches on. They will come Cuz they know they will catch the cheaters.

Just to set the record straight ! I told Randy from day one that there was not a nickle to be made from weekly racing that all the successful race tracks have one common denominator BIG RACES !!! He said he understood and said he was going to promote a $50,000 late model a $25,000 Modified and a $25,000 sprint car show as I have told many racers and fans and he was starting it off with a $5,000 Mod show at the end of the year . He asked me how much he would have to pay me for my time at the track and I told him if he was going to have all these big races I would volunteer my time for a percentage of the big shows if in fact he was going to have them and he said yes he was ! So it all began many long hours and weeks of work as far as falling short I personally had more hours out there than anyone !!! for nothing not a nickle taking down the bleachers in the rain cutting grass cleaning up painting and what ever else needed to be done along with all my tools it all cost me a lot of money just to volunteer gas is not cheap to drive a hour one way every day and work 12 -14 - 16 - 24 hours a day ! As far as car counts I do not own 30 hornets or 30 Late models so I really dont know how I could promise any car counts ??? what I did say was it would be hard to pull some cars as we would be starting late in the season Randy said with the high payouts it would be a

Also If anyone remembers OPENING NIGHT ? that track seen more people in the stands than it ever had !!! but after weeks of sheep footing the track for opening night Randy and Winston thought it would be a good idea the disc up the track ! I said that would be a huge mistake and they continued to say they were only going to cut up the top couple inches to fine dust and I said I dont think it works like that and guess what it does not after it was cut to almost 12 inches deep we were out there for 14 hours watering just to try to get the track watered enough to make it look like a track and it was a total MESS lot of guys loaded up and went home and never came back ! cant blame them . Kevin and Tammy Gundaker greeted me with open arms and was willing to help in any way and offered any and all help they could by opening up their business for all of us to see the inner workings of a successful race track Terri took Thresa Randys sister to Granite city to show her how they ran their concessions and their prices she was sure that she could get the high prices from the concessions like she did at the Savis center ? Terri told her Disney on ice only came to town a couple times a year these people will be here every week and would not pay that high of prices for concession food they would eat before they got there and after the first week they did and then the prices started coming down but racers are creatures of habit and they made sure to stop before coming to the track to eat as far as beer sales I told Randy that I would open up a beer stand if he did not want to be part of it and it would be worth a few thousand a night which would help the track greatly he did not want it at all his choice after all I was just a volunteer only way I was going to make any money was with the BIG SHOWS !!! that were all cancelled ;( by Randy .
So I am just wondering how I fell short and hurt the track ?? and what I did wrong ?? because I did everthing I said I was going to do ? after Randy cancelled the $5,000 Mod show I had several people tell me that they would get all their tools and equipment and personal belongings and leave and I will admit that was the first thing that went through my mind but I asked a lot of racers to support us out there and they did ( THANKS ) so I said I would do exactly what I said I would do from the beginn ing and finished up what I started because I believe a man can only be measured by his WORD !! and if I tell you it is giong to rain get your umbrellas out !! and if any one would like to talk about this on the phone or in person my HOME number is 636-566-6880 dont hide behind screen names and try and bash me I have nothing to hide I use my name as my posting name if I say it I mean it and will take anything that comes with it !

Casey is a great guy and would do anything he could to help a person out. I personally know this cause Casey and Teri both help me and the family out when our house burnt and I just meet them back then. I know a few people the man has helped and when he says something you can take it to the bank cause the man's word is good! Randy biggest mistake was not following through on the deals he made when him and casey first started this deal out! Casey had fans that were there because of him and teams that were dedicated to sticking it out the first yr in a tough season they all knew was ahead! If randy woulda lived up to his deal and promises Montgomery Motorsports Park woulda been the place to be this season! Casey had a vision for so great things and the stuff he planned has already been picked up by other track cause they must know they are great ideas! A man's word says a lot about a person and I can say Randys word right now is sure saying a lot about him now! How can a man even...well wait lets not go that far! How can the dam idiot randy even think about pulling the same stuff on Jim that he pulled on casey the first yr! Wonder if this Ol boy can sleep at night knowin he has lied, stole and miss lead so many people! Idk but I sure wish someone would step up to the plate and give us Fans and Drivers a explanation as to why he has screwed us all over...how bout it Randy? Or you gonna send one of your goons that's on here to rip some more on everyone else you blame for your arrogant selfish calls?!

I came here lookin for info as to why the track closed only to find a guy getting raked over the coals by people taking a couple other peoples words like they were gospel... we all know what ASSumptions can do for a situation. I can't wait for this the truth to come out and make y'all look stupid. Then again dirtboy, I have read some of your other posts so I think bug has already hit ya. ..

I was not a jim moon fan or supporter But i have to respect what he tried to do and what he gave up to make this all work He moved here with his family and got shafted I wish moon well and i have alot more respect for the man now!! Casey is an awesome racer too and did the same thing It sucks this track is in such chaos and doesnt need to be Lots of support for it but noone to make the current owner "happy" i dont think anyone will make him "happy"

I'm sure he controls his kid's, family and church the same way he is controlling the track! I find it kind of funny you say we should pony up and SHOW YOU GUY'S HOW TO RUN A TRACK! Do you think hiding behind your username is gonna save you from the wrath of the racing family cause it's stronger then you think! As this Randy fellas has said HE DONT NEED THEM DRIVERS AND TEAMS THEY CAN GO ON DOWN THE ROAD AND RACE ELSE WHERE! You know Im new to the forums and I look forward to see what people have to write about what is going on with MMSP. But lately people are going over boared about things that are going on. Casey P. and Jim M. are good guys. Randy Matlock is the track owner and works hard to give racers a place to race. I love the post of people thinking of protesting Randys church to show how he "hurt" the racing community. Racing is a sport and yes people do do it for a living but most do it for fun. I have raced for many years not in dirt but have raced and I have done it because I loved racing. I made that choice to build a car and spend my money on going racing and Im sure everyone on this forum can agree that is what racing is and should be. If you go somewhere and assume someone owes you something before you even leave your driveway then you have already lost the true meaning of racing. Im not one to get on forums and beat my keyboard up because that doesnt solve anything but makes people look silly because no one knows the truth about what happened between the promotors and the track owner except the ones invloved. These things are funny because people are fueled by rumors and that is never the way to fix things or get to the bottom of things. I have talked to people and Randy doesnt get on here becuase he is a class act guy and will talk on the phone or face to face and make things right. If you post something about that, that just proves my point about why forums are not a place to fix things. If everyone remembers the racetrack was for sale at 2 points in the recent years and no one bought it. I hear the excuse well I didn't have the money... Well then why complain? Everyone had the equal right to the track. I know people are going to read this and go over board but really think about the big picture and what racing means to you, This is not racing. Randy I thank you for all the hard work you and your family, friends, and staff have done for the time you were open.
