mmsp I'm told done for the year

Seriously though, if what I have seen in this thread and a couple others is what what randy and anyone else involved had to deal with on a weekly basis, I would have shut the track down after the first couple of weeks after I bought it. Seems like a bunch of ungrateful sniveling crybabies. I would be embarrassed if people seen me acting this way. I can only imagine how y'all act in the pits. Lemme guess, if you lose it was someone else's fault? A bunch of y'all need to head to Wal-Mart and purchase some big boy underwear...

Johnnydirt if you don't know me and what my involvement is then you need to back off. Clearly you don't know I have been pretty much right behind Jim, and have spent over 1000 hrs. The past 6 months making this track work. All without any compensation.

You know Im new to the forums and I look forward to see what people have to write about what is going on with MMSP. But lately people are going over boared about things that are going on. Casey P. and Jim M. are good guys. Randy Matlock is the track owner and works hard to give racers a place to race. I love the post of people thinking of protesting Randys church to show how he "hurt" the racing community. Racing is a sport and yes people do do it for a living but most do it for fun. I have raced for many years not in dirt but have raced and I have done it because I loved racing. I made that choice to build a car and spend my money on going racing and Im sure everyone on this forum can agree that is what racing is and should be. If you go somewhere and assume someone owes you something before you even leave your driveway then you have already lost the true meaning of racing. Im not one to get on forums and beat my keyboard up because that doesnt solve anything but makes people look silly because no one knows the truth about what happened between the promotors and the track owner except the ones invloved. These things are funny because people are fueled by rumors and that is never the way to fix things or get to the bottom of things. I have talked to people and Randy doesnt get on here becuase he is a class act guy and will talk on the phone or face to face and make things right. If you post something about that, that just proves my point about why forums are not a place to fix things. If everyone remembers the racetrack was for sale at 2 points in the recent years and no one bought it. I hear the excuse well I didn't have the money... Well then why complain? Everyone had the equal right to the track. I know people are going to read this and go over board but really think about the big picture and what racing means to you, This is not racing. Randy I thank you for all the hard work you and your family, friends, and staff have done for the time you were open.

Thank You
only thing randy ever worked hard at was ucking everything up and did a great job of it, he should be ashamed of himself

Johnnydirtball and grooverider13 you're clearly completely biased on the scenario and stick up for randy regardless of what actually happened. I guess Casey Pearson is lying too? Randy obviously is the kind of guy that can't and dont stick by his word he gives to people. Wants a good turnout but rejects the means to do so. Moon and Pearson have both run successful racing operations for years and know what hard work is and was willing to make the necessary sacrifice to make the track go. Too bad randy doesn't have the drive or determination to stick to something and now f*cked over literally dozens of people. Was he dumb enough to think he was just gna come out making money in the first couple months of the season before the weather even broke?? Jeez, im not the smartest guy but what a fn idiot.

I have a great idea! Why don't Westling racing & Moon pool your hard work and assets and make Randy an offer to buy the track, then you can call the shots sell beer and go racing. This appears the only way you will solve your racing issues at MMSP. Good luck and have a great day!

Did and he refuses. That was supposed to be the big announcement this week.

That would have been cool. I've seen your posts the past couple of years how you and your family have been heavily involved in racing and getting this track up and running. I hope you can work something out.

I don't know who's at fault, but some one let me & my driver down. we had high hopes of racing at this track as we have many times in past,& loved it, and gave it a lot of support. We set our car back up as B mod to run there this season, unfortunately, due to cold weather and personal reasons we weren't quite ready at this time, but we were set to go on May 10th, then some one pulled the plug! what a disappointment, we also was planning our sportsman for another driver, that would have been 2 cars, at least 3 to 4 pit passes, plus our family in stands usually 3 to 10 weekly ,and we patronize concessions fairly heavy. yeah I am disappointed! but we can move on to another track. Question is, can this track move on? probably not , as they have left their fans out in the cold. and believe me there was a lot of fans to be had there. couldn't wait could they, or he... some things just don't happen overnight. Or maybe it's a Master Plan! .. LET THE WEEDS GROW!

It sure wasn't Jims master plan. Hang in there, goal is get it open asap! Next week if any way possible. I'm not going to post any more on this thread. Keep an eye out of an official post from me, signmanplus, Jim or Bridget. Worst scenario is Randy stretches it out as long as he can and refuses to sell the property and let's it set and rot as a tax write off for the next 30 years.

I sure bet the quickest way to resolve differences is to get online and bad talk the 1 person you need to get the track open... makes complete sense...

Apparently what "makes sense" is irrelevant to randy anyway so what does it matter? We had planned on making a trip out there to race in the next couple weeks but there's no way in he'll that will happen now. randy sealed that deal.

That place won't survive now no matter who owns, or runs it.You cant keep a track open with 40-50 cars and run latemodels. I know your heart is in it,but don't drink the KOOL-AID Trace. Two wrongs don't make a right, no matter who was to blame both those guys don't have good reputations and are not trusted.Don;t want any track to close, but the damage has already been done.
