New DOT and EPA rules

Thread has been asked to be deleted......since some cant either read or understand....what is going on.

Before you guys go shooting this down ask some people involved in trucking, this is not a joke.

The lettering on the truck/trailers is correct, this has been a law for a while, it may have changed alittle not sure of all the details of it. But we were stopped on the way back from Godfrey (the last or 2nd last year it was open) and a state trooper informed us of this. The only lettering we had was Faust Racing on the top of the rear door. I believe he also stopped Zobrist & korte the same night.

Thank you for your post. I know alot of people just going to blow all this off....go ahead. Its 100 percent factual and as i said i had a really nice meeting with DOT and EPA officers.

Just posting this thread to warn others. As you can see by the other replies..its not a joke. Some seem to not be able to grasp reality when it slaps them in the face.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Please post the entire relevant regulations, loopholes included, instead of cherry-picking sections that advance your well-known agenda.

A buddy of mine was pulled over and harassed in Illinois couple years ago because he had his business name on his race trailer and no #'s. Even though he lives in Missouri and that's where he does business. Missouri never had a problem with it. The copper told him when you come into Illinois you need to have such and such....ect.

I carry every MSDS sheet of every tire prep I have in my shop at all times. You telling people not to deal with me because the EPA will come down on them, that is SLANDER my friend. Which is also an offense that can be pushed if someone wished. As far as the trailer and name stuff you seem to be correct. But for you to get on here and talk about what I do and what I don't do, you are NOT correct.

And something else, I never once said the products I sell are for Kart racers only. Why in the world would I spend what I've spent developing Undetectable prep for people who are aloud to prep? Most of the tire preps I sell are for Stock Car racers, not Kart racers. And like I've said numerous times on here lately, nothing I sell will get you in trouble with the EPA. Of course they have to dispose of the containers properly(but isn't that common sense?).

Nick nick nick dont let the internet geniuses upset you so much !!!! I have trouble once in awhile remembering who agrues so much on internet forums , 99% are guys that sit in the stands moans and complains about everything and know more than anyone who actually does something. My point let it go and laugh at the ignorance.

This is from the IL sec of state web site

You need a Commercial Driver's License if you operate:
  • Any combination of vehicles with a Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, providing the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • A vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
Here is the address http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/drivers/cdl/whoneeds_cdl.html

A truck weighing less then 26k pulling a trailer weighing less then 10 does not require a cdl.
